I think the show is really good at hinting at how much Nami struggles with her growing conflict of interests as the story progresses! she clearly has a reason why she doesn't let herself totally open up to them even though she cant help but genuinly bond with them. remember, almost all of them have tragic back stories (and also, animes in general just loooove tragic backstories)
the reason for the cross sword and all the crosses is because of his character design is inspired by the spanish or the spanish inquisition, I think. You might have to look into that.
I mean yeah I kinda see your point about "Zoro being an adult" but look it from the perspective of Nami, your dear friend is trying to do something reckless that might get him killed, even though he is an adult and he can make his own choices if you know that choice will get him killed you will want to stop him anyways...if one of my homies would try to pick a fight with a dude double his size I would try to do everything to stop him because I don't want to see him die from being reckless and If he ended up fightning anyways and dying I would be mad if I knew another friend could try to stop him and choose not to.

Remember something about Luffy: He is very goofy at times, and sometimes he does things that would normally be completely idiotic, but one of his greatest traits is being an excellent judge of character. In all of one piece (anime) I have seen, I can only think of one time he really misjudged someone's character, and only recently in the manga were reasons revealed that can possibly explain why.
And if you knew how Sanji grew up before even being on that ship that capsized this whole thing hits SOOO much harder. I'd love to give a very brief spoiler, because it's not something you learn about until like 700+ chapters in and I doubt it will ever make it into the Live Action, but won't unless yall want it. Nami is a navigator - that one of the main reason they need her. Also your hate for her is just ??? I mean she barely know those boys and had to survive on her own before them. That why she placed her interest first. Not everyone can afford to be fearless as invincible Luffy 🙄

So there is her frustration with those man acting naive, not being realistic. And again Nami barley know them so there is no obligation to be loyal. Specially when they so lightly take risks, what places her in danger too
