Im wondering the same thing,i struggle alot with science,i was hoping taking physcology would be less about cells and their damn receptors and more about the brain as a whole but someone said you have to take 5 years medicince before you can branch out to this field..im sad :(
You don’t need mathematics at all. Actually if you just know addition, multiplication, substraction and division you're good to go. But you'll have to take statistics courses. A lot of students tend to generalize statistics with maths and gets afraid quite a lot. Hi! I think if resolving your own issues is your main motivation to study psychology, then I would say that wouldn't be a good idea since the degree itself is not going to help you. If I understood correctly what you said, you'd need consult to a psychologist in order to find a solution for your personal issues. If you're still interested in psychology, you could do both things: studying and in therapy. In fact, when I was a clinical psychology student, teachers always recommended us to see a therapist/psychologist on our own. I just want to let you know that in case you're confused whether studying psychology would help you to solve your own personal problems or difficulties.

I am very confused rn. After watching many videos on RUclips about studying Psychology almost all of them say that the University must be a part of the British Psychological Society. So as far as I understood every country has their own psychological societies, but this one is mentioned quite a lot. So is the BPS the most important one? The most recognized one? The only one that's accepted through out the world? I am currently applying for a university that is in the European Psychological Society, does it mean that's recognized through out the Europe only and the BPS is the dominating one? If you get a degree accredited by the BPS you won't be recognized in Europe and will have to get a certificate to show competence in Europe (Specific to the country you want to work in)

Then take business
You can apply the knowledge of psychology in business very well in fields like marketing or HR management. You can also be an industrial psychologist. But before you decide think clearly about the courses you'll be taking in Psychology, all of them might not catch your interest and you might find some way out of your league.
I am in love to pursue the course
Just for the record guys if anyone wants to study social psychology... Apparently there is also stats in that.
Well done 👏🏻
And what about masters degree.. I'll be completing my BA PSYCHOLOGY by 2020 and I want to study further in Neuropsychology or forensic psychology... And later a PhD... Well in india you don't find colleges in Neuropsychology to give you up to the mark of education and further scholarships
Hi Ravi. We have an MSc in Neuroimaging at our new brain imaging centre (CUBRIC) that might be of interest. Here's a video showing the facilities: ruclips.net/video/xSeJjY9NGCc/видео.html
Cardiff University Psychology so after BA..
IS Msc possible or not
Yes Ravi, after completing a BA or BSc in psychology you would be able to apply for the MSc course
Hey! Which college do you study in? (:
Cardiff University Psychology is it possible to study MSc psychology after completing bsc chemistry?

Hello. I'm in a dellima. I'm interested on taking psychology classes and go on college but I'm a sensitive person that cry over a movie, a book and I'm affraid I may screw it if I go on psychology. On the other hand, I'm interested on graphuc design too, but I must say, I have a lot work to do until I draw property. Any advice?
do pyschology, often sensitivity is needed.
Dont become a psychologist if youre too snesitive and it doesnt appeal to you. You can become a psychologist researcher for example ! Thats doesnt dtop you from studying psychology
@@serenasmith1662 yeah doesn't have to be clinical psychology
I don't really have a scientific or mathematic background. I actually struggle a lot with math. Does that mean I'm gonna have a hard time if I choose to study psychology?
Im wondering the same thing,i struggle alot with science,i was hoping taking physcology would be less about cells and their damn receptors and more about the brain as a whole but someone said you have to take 5 years medicince before you can branch out to this field..im sad :(
You don’t need mathematics at all. Actually if you just know addition, multiplication, substraction and division you're good to go. But you'll have to take statistics courses. A lot of students tend to generalize statistics with maths and gets afraid quite a lot. Now if you're talking about science background, I think a science background is pretty helpful in the long run because there are biopsychology, perception, developmental psychology- these courses emphasize on the biological basis of brain functioning.
@@maamarfaroukbenbada454 I don’t know in which country you need five years of medicine to study psychology but that doesn’t make quite sense. Psychology has almost nothing to do with medicine. Yes biological basis of functioning is important here but medicine is a completely different discipline!

I like psychology but i hate math i was kinda taken a back because i saw statistics in it and a formula.
Take ba psychology thers no math
I have my BA in psychology and I did have to take statistics course. So there is math regardless if it’s a BA or BS
Is statistics difficult? I don't like math as well and that makes me scared of studying psychology
You can never run away from Math darling.
If you REALLY love psychology than studying maths is but a small price to pay
Can I attend the course online?
is it okay if i shift from BS Psychology to BS Nursing?
I there a way for me to learn psychology like through an online source for a degree

I failed my maths GCSE 3 times and I am currently studying Psychology with Neuroscience in London. You definitely don't have to be good at maths to study psychology. It can help but if I'm getting good grades despite failing so many times, you'll be just fine
saw this one on the comsec, hope it helps.
I didnt study Maths in Plus 2 . Is it going to be difficult for me ????
Can i do msc in clinical psychology after bsc nursing
Hi have you taken the course ?
If I want to study psychology do I need to take maths and sciences in high school
Maths taught in not that difficult. You don't need to study calculus and all, just be good in general maths
I’m thinking about majoring in Marketing and minoring in psychology. Do y’all think that’s a good combo?
minoring is kinda pointless if u dont focus on one 1 thing and only pick courses that relate to that 1 major, for ex will psychology help u in a field of marketing? vice versa.

I'm just having a thought of taking this course because of personal issues. I feel like I need to know more bout myself. Should I take it? I'm so really anxious right now. My time is ticking and it's an urgent to choose bcoz the deadline for applying college is coming my parents don't know about it.. :

Anyone please help me with this -__-
If you get a degree accredited by the BPS you won't be recognized in Europe and will have to get a certificate to show competence in Europe (Specific to the country you want to work in)
Do study the subconscious mind under psychology? ?
Is it recommendable for someone who wants to be a psychiatrist to take the HUMSS strand instead of STEM?

I think you should be a psychiatrist?
be a psychiatrist that will enable you to pursue that goal
Psychiatrist or a social worker. Social worker obviously focuses on youth more but psychiatrist will focus on mental health of those who are older too, but you will be helping many people.
You need to be a doctor to be a psychiatrist. So you need to take Medicine (5 years most unis), then you will be able to undergo training to become a psychiatrist. It typically takes 12 years (Medical degree + Psychiatrist).
You will need to have Extreme commitment.
