Max is not dead. It's that her mind is with Vecna. If Eleven and friends manages to save her mind from Vecna and she physically got well, she will survive that situation.
The top three saddest ones for me were bobs, Eddie’s and when max says I don’t wanna die. It really hit me with those ones because I grew to love those characters and I know that max is still alive( maybe) but Eddie’s and bobs really got me 😢
