I have waited YEARS for that one small change to Zoe's spell bubble passive! I played a lot of Zoe support when she first came out and have always thought she has so much potential in that role, but was held back by the need to kill minions herself to get bubbles from them. It's nice to already see people experimenting with her after the change and finding so much success, Sion makes a lot of sense as a duo partner.
Back in those days you would buy Relic shield and not poke item so you can get the bubbled minions without hurting your ADC. It was more important to get the bubbles on ranged than to have maximized income by killing cannons even.
honestly I never got why it was so bad to take ONE minion from the adc like bro it's a drop in the water 17 gold will not ruin your economy lmao. (obv don't take cannons, but you can't fuckin fork over a CASTER ? chumpass. ) The chance to get a whole summoner spell is worth losing 17 gold back then
just take the support item that shares gold?? save up every supp item charge and ONLY kill the minion that has the ability on it? if you wait for years how could you miss this easy opportunity.
@@SkritchB put simply, I got tired of teams every other game refusing to let me kill the minion with the spell bubble every wave. this has always been an issue in lower MMR games regardless of what role I played Zoe on, and yes it did happen often enough as to sour the experience for me. what may seem like an inconsequential quality of life buff for some is actually a game-changer for folks like me who have experienced this frustration so many games over. frankly it should say a lot that the duo queue featured in this vid only started getting results after this "easy opportunity" was made easier with said quality of life change.

correction: Zoe or an ally has to kill the minion. If it dies to turret or minions, it will not drop.

I hope to see one day the magical duo of Sion + Zilean. Nothing's more fun than throwing a bomb on a minion and then having sion throwing that minion on top of the adc

I played against this bot lane earlier today. They lost hard into a friend on xayah and me on rakan. Was interesting to see cause I thought it was weird but a good combo, and glad I found this to explain it a bit better.

My friend who otps Zoe supp is going to love this. I've been playing Asol and Cho'gath bot carry so much lately and they compliment with Zoe really well, especially Asol! My fav interaction is when he puts someone to sleep and i just E R them. Zero counterplay for an adc lmfao

Ive been doing sion xerath combo since season 9, people kept dodging that was the problem, but once we were in game they would shut up. Sion adc is great because he can survive and if your support leaves you, you can still survive laning phase its great

As a sion OTP who plays league with his twin brother you have piqued my interest
I've always played Sion Karthus bot. Better Synergy in death passives, if one of us dies the other fights on top of the others passive. Incredible scaling means that 1 for 1's are always worth it. lethality sion is best for this. Karthus wall's helps set up sion's all in. Incredibly strong all in potential, funnest comp in the game.
i feel like this would also work with lethality sion, i play him adc sometimes and you litterally one shot adc with a full combo if if your behind

This is so fuuny! I just played Sion adc with a random senna supp... She didnt know what to do on lane and try to protect me. So after I told her not to do so she often roamed mid and top, kind of leaveing me alone in 2v1 bot. But it was fine becouse I was so tanky the enemy bot were useless... Anyway we won after takeing baron, and then this video popped up xD

As a Sion main that played duo for some time with a senna in bot, I can say this looks much better for soloQ. BUT the runes for Sion are wrong.
Instead of precision second he should have went inspiration with approach velocity so he can more easily follow up Zoe bubbles. The other rune is matchup depended, magical footwear seems decent if you play aggressive otherwise cookies for more lane sustain, futures market to afford power spikes you otherwise would maybe not be able to afford or minion dematerializer to smooth out Sions wave clear.
But this looks cool, congrats to the players for reaching masters.

@@S0daB Let's assume your argument is valid, then why would professional players have analysists that never reached master? The Pro's should know what is best right?
Yeah it doesn't make sense, being a higher ranked player doesn't mean they always will make the right choice. Even challengers make mistakes and aren't perfect, that is what makes them improve. The rune choice can also be a preference choice over what might be actually be the best choice.
I dont think its a bad idea tbh, maybe they just dont think its worth losing the other tree. Lots of high elo players I talk to think - 'x tree is so good on this champ, it is vital no matter what'
So maybe approach velocity just isnt as valuable as the ones he likes

I used to play old Gankplank (full crit % runes) + Pantheon. Or Pantheon + Rammus. This crit ratio was and dmg crazy. Rushing old Executioner as a first item lol. I think it was Season I or Season II

I would prefer to build anathema's chain on sion instead of heartsteel and try another mythic items, the higher HP and A.H with cheap cost + the nemesis looks great to avoid outscale
