- I got the opportunity to test the new Mavic 3 Pro in the field during my trip through Africa while working on my new passion project. I was using all three lenses back to back for two weeks in various scenarios and this new focal length changes more than you think, at least that was what I experienced. Roughly 60% of all my wildlife shots were done on the new Medium Tele Lens. Enjoy what Ryan, Serin, and I captured on our recent trip to Tanzania. Enjoy 🫶

This is by far the most visually stunning launch video for Mavic 3 Pro. Thanks for all the hard work to putting everything together. Looks like DJI made a huge improvement to that 7X telephoto lens. Not only it captures sharper images, it is also much more stable when shooting videos. These might be incremental update, but together they made a previously "unusable" lens totally usable. This opens the door to a lot of creative opportunities.

Nicely done! Loved the how dynamic the footage looked....the colors just popped off the screen! Makes all the difference when someone shoots great footage in an exotic or remote location. Nearly impossible to really demonstrate how good the cameras are when your just shooting in someone's back-yard. Africa was a great place to demo this quad! Nicely done!

Fantastic video ! Some questions:
- The 70mm lens is at fixed f/2.8, right ?
- is the 166mm camera quality significantly improved ? ( Sensor remained the same... )
- Does the main d-logM - mode work at ISO 100 ? ( D-log started at ISO 400 in Mavic 3 )
- The ND filters have the same ND value for all three cameras ? ( since the aperture value differs )
- How much the gimbal upward tilting abilility has changed ? ( since the head is way bigger )
- And did you record all shots in this video in ProRes ?

Frkn DJI. Just had my cine for 6 months. Now this bad boy comes out, after going through the long and painful process of registering mine for CAA in SA 🇿🇦 Not to mention the Inspire 3, but we all knew that one was coming 🤣 this was a bit of a surprise. When I saw the teaser pic, I thought naaa, wouldn’t have a cine version… but… here we are surpriiise!! 🤣

The only thing stopping me from buying one of these (I used to have the Inspire 2 X5S kit) is that in the UK, the rules for over-250g are getting silly. So I went for the Mavic Mini 3 Pro instead.

Exceptionally good drone shots, unfortunately too short I would have more of them. I would also like to take such drone shots, but as I know flying drones is prohibited there and as a passionate travel filmmaker I will probably not get the permission they did get. A Mavic 3 Pro is also a bit too expensive for me, so I'm waiting for the new Air 3, which has two cameras on board!
If you shoot in d-log m for both cameras, will the colors be the same for grading? If the 24mm is Hasselblad color, is the 70mm Hasselblad too?
D log for 24 and dlog-m for 70mm. You newd to adjust it, 2 lenses, 2 sensors so there is always a difference

Mild refresh of the 2021 Mavic 3 is hardly “game changing”, especially with an intermediate lens. You could just fly the drone to achieve the same FOV.
I would any day trade my Air2s 24mm lens with something longer, a 50mm for example. Getting closer with a wide lens gives you a way different FOV compared to a normal or tele lens.
