So disappointed this bike is not available State-side. Lovely bike for touring but would also be grand for commuting. What size are the front and rear panniers? I am looking for large panniersbut I always get smaller bags than advertised on Amazon.
A lot of touring bikes are hard or impossible to get in many countries. Some popular brands are now discontinued. And I think the front panniers are 14 litres and the back are 25.
This looks a lovely bike. The frame colour is fabulous. Rare to find a touring bike spec'd with 26" wheels these days. Good to see a full set of Ortlieb panniers. Hopefully you shall have lots of happy miles touring on it.
Would that bike be ok for commuting as I like the looking of the bike and I like 26” wheels than 700c dunno why. I’m thinking get Ridgeback Expedition or Oxford Bike Works
i have not included any specs because anyone buying from a website should read the specs on the website. as me or any other you tuber can not be held responsible for any mistakes that may cause a buyer to be unhappy with the bike.
That's a lovely looking bike. I've been looking at one of these myself, just trying to judge what size to buy. I think I saw you're riding a Medium? May I ask how tall you are?
I am 5ft 7, I find my Genesis tour de fer 10 is the best fitting bike for me. I used to have a trek 520. But I made the mistake of buying a small size. And I used to get really bad knees from riding it on tours.
Hey mate, hi from... Italy (but a few years back in the uk, made me fall in love with their tourers...) I really don't know howI've still thrown a look around for some footage on the Expedition or the Panorama (recent versions, discs and all i mean). I proudly managed to get hold of a clearance Roux Etape 150, i was on a budget, but now while i do love her so much, and we do wonders, including passes on the Western Alps, well i still miss out on discs and the 26" wheels, i'm so (good) jealous of you and so happy i now can have a closer video look at it. Problem with common recent bikes in my area is, if they're 26" they *will* have an ammo fork, which i don't need or wish for at all. And if they're 28" tourers, they'll be simple city bikes with flat bars... so yeah i realy do hope one day i'll be climbing mountain roads with your little workhorse. I've heard from only one cycling enthusiast in Italy who owned a Panorama and says best bike he ever owned. Just then sold it for new projects, but still misses her a lot. Ok now sorry for the long "so happy" comment, time to put everything on stand-by at mine and just sip your clip second by second. Cheers!!
I wanted this bike for years. It was never available. I used to have a ridgeback world tour bike but I had to sell it when I thought I might become homeless.
It' s great to exchange this hello, i probably lived too much in isolation from overseas (except videos). I've just spotted your longer one on this bike, it's great. The pace... And well, it's very honestof you to share some bumps you may have come across on your path and... i think i might have a clue, what it may mean. Had to sell a good bike as well. Eh... It's good to always bear in mind we shoudnt feel too much attached to anything, as i take your words. you're so right mate. Thanks so much, indeed. Keep up the good rides and... such proper documentaries! Not suprised people here love them. 😎✌✌✌!
Cool video thanks, if you don't want that to be stolen, get a motorcycle chain lock. Touring bikes are very nickable , and cable locks are easy work for thieves. I wish you many peaceful adventures.
If this bike interests you and you would to see me do a longer bicycle tour on this bike. Then let me know with a comment.
Nice looking bike
Great looking bike, James. Love it! 👍
Congratulations Mr.James Vlogs....It's very very nice looking bike.I will looking for a bike like yours.
This particular model of bike might be hard to find. However ridgeback have other touring bikes that are easier to get.
Good looking bike, we all have different ideas what we want from bikes, glad you have your dream bike.
I have to work a not very nice job to be able to afford nice things.

I wish I had more time to go touring.
@@Solitarycycling So do I ..........
What a great looking bike James. I am happy you were finally able too get your.
Thank you, those racks are unique in design.
What is the purpose of the extended protruding front bar on the front rack?
It's just for added strength.
Though it looks to be a place where you could have a helper pull the bicycle through a difficult spot.
Giddy up mule! 🤠

This bike is extremely hard to get hold of. And I would personally never take a rare or expensive bike to work. To much of a loss if it gets stolen.
You have a nice touring bike. Where you're riding? I'm heading to C&O Canal trail next week and August Erie Canal Trail.
I have heard about them trails when I have listened to the pedal shift podcast.
I like your keys looking like your Channel picture. The bike seems really nice ! What about the specs of the bike ?
i have not included any specs because anyone buying from a website should read the specs on the website. as me or any other you tuber can not be held responsible for any mistakes that may cause a buyer to be unhappy with the bike.
@@Rollingforwards I understansd your decision, it was a nice video
looks a solid choice with better viewing position
Hello, i have possibility to buy a L size. I am 186 cm tall. Do you think it is ok ? Sorry for my english. Best regards
