What ever one’s thinks of Boris, he’s a great speaker. He has always been quite cute with his elders, and respected ones at that, his words are spot on here.

Usual response by some. Many don't know Boris well it seems. He's done tons of speeches in his time in public life. And quite a number were also very good. The Ukraine ones for example and many others. Generally he has those qualities you mention. Let's not forget the two jobs are also very different that's just fact.

I could never imagine a world without her and I do not believe that she is fully gone, not given that of a lineage imperial by the grace of God alone she came, and in Love's name remained true to her word, devoted in service to the end. I have loved her all my life and I always will.

Perhaps, as an American citizen, I shouldn’t comment. But truth be told, I often found great comfort in Queen Elizabeth’s speeches, her humility, her dedication to duty. That was especially true during the USAs wild years 2016-2020. I’m not a Boris Johnson fan. But I have to admit, that speech was absolutely brilliant! All the best to King Charles. May he carry on in his mother’s wonderful spirit!

When I joined the Australian Army, I was blessed by these words as these I swore to God, Queen, and to Country many moons ago, As I was with many units I made sure there was a Print of the Queen in our Duty room, I serve for over 20years with different Countries of our Commonwealth and some other Countries, Now God Save the Queen RIP, but it's God Save the King. I wasn't sure about Boris as an American but The Queen believed in him and that was her gift - No human is perfect - I believe her spirit will carry on and do her duty as an Angel who deservingly has had her Audience with God .

Feeling a sense of deep loss after the Queen’s passing. It does feel like losing a much loved Grandmother. She really was important to us. She has left us all, and the Royal Family, better for having had her as an exemplary example of kindness, wisdom, and hope.

Queen elizabeth died peacefully at barlmoral Castle at Scotland,she went travelling with her husband prince Phillip,she was the longest raining monarch in Britain's history,she was on the throne in 1952.

As an American, I hold her as the epidemy of a world leader in everyway. Her family should be so proud of her and to be her descendents. Years ago when my wife & I visited the UK, the primary places to visit was in Wales where the Prince was crowned. Buckinham Palace, Windsor Castle, and The Royal catle in edinburg. Along with the North Tower. Wonderful visit, loved seeing where both mine and my wife ancestors came from. RIP Queen Elizabeth II. Long live the King.

Wonderful speach
A brilliant speech from Boris ... if he'd been as good in keeping his promises as rising to the occasion as here, he'd still be on the front bench and still PM. Unfortunately, he wasn't, instead he squandered the opportunity we gave him and he let us down.
Instead, we have the less charismatic but (I predict) ultimately the harder working Truss, faced with the enormous challenges Boris has left her with, and more likely to do us all proud in the long run.
And that's not to take away from Boris's speech, the best of them all.
Dear me. Unprecedented Global pandemic forgot already. Pretty much the whole World stopped for 2 years. Of course everything was then behind. Including progress and promises made. It's shocking how some people don't factor this in. No one else would have done any better under those circumstances. Some would have done worse in fact.
Trying to be open minded about Liz Truss but agree fully with your assessment of Boris. His wonderful and eloquent tribute though makes me regret more and more the opportunity he wasted. He could have been Churchill Mk II as has always been his goal.
@@markbanner6473 Mark, not sure if you are in the UK - I am, and followed every step of Boris's post-election 2019 progress.
In the last months of 2019, before COVID became justified as an excuse for delay, Boris presented us with an utterly flawed 'oven ready' deal for an EU Trade Agreement, lied and lied again about our red lines in the highly sensitive deal over fisheries and eventually acceded to (and them mis-sold to the UK public) an arrangement over the NI territory of the UK that serious observers of the Brexit process could see was utterly flawed and a dangerous mistake, inviting Sinn Fein/RoI and the EU to take advantage and to jump on as an excuse for "reunification" (even though Ireland was never 'unified' apart from the period it was an integral part of the UK 1801-1924). He equivocated on putting the flaws right, talking tough on the TV and then doing sod all.
I don't discount Johnson's perfectly acceptable (and occasionally excellent) performance during COVID, and - whilst he arguably has put his own country at greater risk in doing so - he is to be applauded for his leadership on the Russian War. But Boris was elected (with the enormous help of Farage's unacknowledged assistance) to 'Get Brexit Done', and he hasn't.
@@JohnGrayOnline He got Brexit over the line something that others failed to do for 4 years previously. He won and beat the lefty lawyers etc etc and made sure the democratic vote was finally honored.
You're entitled to your views of course but I don't agree with all of them.
