Welcome to the Cute Character class! If you want to learn how to create cute characters but you’re not sure how to start, then this is the class for you! Hi, I’m Kris Lauren and it’s been a joy to be a professional artist for a couple of decades now and a privilege to be able to share the knowledge I’ve gained with you.
In this class I’ll be walking you through, step by step to learn how to develop, draw and paint these adorable characters. You’ll be able to follow along with me in Procreate, your favourite app or with a pencil, paper and paints. You’ll gain a better understanding of how to dream up a character and bring it to life by following a few simple steps.
You’ll learn to develop a backstory for your characters, and then how to start from the beginning and map out the size, shape and position. With the groundwork done and some simple guides I've provided for you, you’ll have the tools and the confidence to draw these cute characters together with me.
You’ll have everything you need to complete this final piece, including this special brush pack, colour palette, canvas and project files, available for Procreate, Photoshop & Affinity.
In this class, you’ll have a great time following along and you’ll gain the confidence to create cute characters of your very own. So pick up your pencil and join me in class, and let’s draw together!
