I think it's mostly down to the fact that the form had little to no build-up or thematic relevance of any kind. It just kinda showed up in Resurrection F with little to no explanation I don't think the form would have gotten anywhere near the same level of hate had we seen Goku and Vegeta unlock the form on screen. Plus it was very much unneeded at the time imo we'd just gotten Super Saiyan god we didn't need a new form for a little while I think they could have waited for maybe the Universe 6 tournament or maybe even the goku black arc to unveil it and because we got it so soon after God that form became a footnote and it was hardly used until the Tournament of power. Not to mention the form doesn't have much meaning behind it compared to stuff like Gohan's super saiyan 2 which represents his hidden rage and untapped power finally coming out or even Golden Frieza which showed the lengths Freiza was willing to go to get revenge on goku even going so far as to train for the first time in his life. Blue just doesn't have anything like that
It’s just the fact that it doesn’t win any fights, it felt like everytime Goku and Vegeta pulled out ssb, they got bodied

@@ripper_madness Frieza literally won, if it weren’t for whis. Hit won but then forfeited during the tournament against Monaka. Then the second time Goku literally fucking died and had to revive himself. Then Zeno was the one to finish off the Black arc after Vegito Blue lost. So I still stand by my point of SSB sucks because they always lose when they use it.
@@LilXoro22 Nah lets be real. Frieza got bitched and had to result on a cheap tactic to win by blowing up the earth. Vegeta made him go back to his final form which is significantly weaker than his Golden form.
Hit, Bergamo, Ribrianne, Duplicate Vegeta, Frieza, Nink, Zarbuto, Rabanra, Zirloin, Koichiarator, Paparoni, Broly, Maji Kayo, Gohan, Future Trunks, Galactic Poachers
not even counting the manga wins this is almost the same amount as super saiyan's total wins even though super saiyan has the advantage of being used by way more characters👍
Ssb was never an issue for me, only complaints I had was the original name of Super Sayian God Super Sayian. The fact we didn't get more time for super sayian god to breathe story wise I could understand the critique but I get it as it makes sense for them to be able to combine the knowledge of turning super sayian on top of the God form.
To add to My point of blue it was stated beerus wasn't using but about 30% of his power in BOG and that's what they were chasing similar to how we figured out freida was leagues above what we saw in sayian saga, they have always jumped in power quickly when they are chasing someone seemingly unreachable
I do like Super Saiyan Blue a lot. In terms of the laziness, maybe it's fans being frustrated from a long line of designs considered lazy instead of the one 'bad' design? If we break each transformation down into layman's terms, we get:
Giant monkey
Goku but red
Normal Saiyan with blue eyes and spiked up hair
SSJ but with lightning
SSJ2 but with long hair and no eyebrows
SSJ but red monkey
Goku but with red hair
SSJ but with blue hair
SSJ2 but angrier???
SSG but rose
Goku but with white eyes and hair
Vegeta but with purple hair
Piccolo but orange
Frieza but gold
Frieza but black
And last but not least, SSJ2 Gohan but white hair that's longer than necessary.
None of these are really bad. It's just a long list of transformations that are mostly similar to each other, which could make one form feel lazy if it falls into the trap of being considered useless when compared to what came before or after; SSJ3 and SSGSS are perfect examples of this.
I don’t mind Super Saiyan Blue. It has so much potential and the only reason it’s hated is because people miss the red hair god form. Blue is just fine for me too.

I don’t really hate it it just is overused and lacked build up and I wished the design was more unique and I don’t like how they introduced the kaioken into it they could’ve had goku get evolution or perfected super saiyan blue like goku did in the manga in the goku black arc
Super Sayian 4 was probably the most drastic and one of the hardest transformations! 🦍
There's an big difference between hating something and disliking something I don't SSB but now if we get different versions of SSB like blue evolution and blue kaioken that's fine
Only complaint I had is we never really explored the original God form, before Blue made it irrelevant
One of the reasons it gets hate is that atleast in the anime it undermined SSG which basically replaced the form too quickly had Blue been introduced either in the U6 tournament or even the Goku Black Arc it would’ve allowed SSG to be used more.
For instance in ROF if, they wrote it so they introduced SSG Vegeta instead and he killed Frieza in that form instead that would be nicer as it would give more of an opportunity to see SSG in action as the main power. Then either when Goku fights Hit in the U6 tournament instead of using SSBK he could either use Blue then and write it so he beats Hit in Blue alone or finds a new way of using SSG like idk SSG evolved state like Vegeta’s SSBE but like a slightly bulkier red form. Or a more technical usage of SSG in that fight even use Kaioken with SSG as Blue and god are both tranquil forms and you could argue SSG is even more easier to use the Kaioken on with higher multiplers. So I think the perfect place to introduce Blue is Goku’s rage against Goku Black as it would been more impactful when they showed Goku Black killing Chi chi and Goten. And then when they return to the future again they could show SSB Vegeta for the first time and still do that whole Vegeta vs Goku Black moment and him doing the speech as it would actually be more impressive as he’s literally proving that through a natural Saiyans hard work he could overcome an imposter. And better yet when they fuse into Vegito it be even cooler as the new arc’s form would be used on a fusion immediately so even hype wise it’d be better.
And then in the Tournament of Power we can then get the Evolutions to Blue like SSBK against Jiren or SSBE Vegeta against Toppo like usual. This way of using SSB after giving SSG is time allows SSB to still be impactful but have a far better introduction and giving SSG its deserved spotlight in the case of SSG Vegeta Vs Frieza or SSG (evolved or Kaioken or regular) Goku vs Hit and THEN use blue on Goku Black. But that’s just my take.

It is a cool form. But according to the Lore it was supposed to be complete mastery of God ki and ki in general. But it just popped up so much and super and it just seemed like a new form which is fine new series new form. But it didn't give any significant wins. And it threw the whole "mastery of your energy" plot point out the window.And there was no build up to it. People talk bad about ssj3 and how it didn't pull any wins. But at least you can tell that there was hard work to get to that form. Ultimately the form looks cool to promote the new series at the time but there weren't enough milestones to associate with the form.
The form is basically a recolor. I do like the concept however i feel like focusing on a form like SS4 in GT. Saiyans are aliens. It would be much better if they focused more on that side imo. The thing about blue is that it's inconsistent in powerscaling and it's over use. That's why it's hated
While I have no issue with the form itself, it does suck that SSJG got replaced so quickly, SSJG being one of my favorite forms and all. Imagine if Goku went SSJ2 against Android 19; _that's_ how quick SSJG got the boot.
And yeah, SSJB technically _is_ SSJG, just with SSJ1 stacked on top, but that should have been built up to over a longer period of time if they didn't want it to feel like a new form, and rather like a fusion of God and regular SSJ. Plus they should have had the characters transition into Blue from God more like in the Broly movie instead of always having Goku and Vegeta turn into SSJB from base; Goku even transformed from SSJ2 to SSJG seamlessly against Jiren, then _powered down_ to base to then go into SSJB! Why did the animators put SSJG closer to SSJ2 than the form that was literally originally called "Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan"?

i think blue is a cool transformation. I just think the way it is introduced that kinda put me off. it didnt have even more impact than super saiyan did, which it should've because blue has such high potential... It got introduced just outta nowhere. If they did some foreshadowing like they did with super saiyan, it wouldve been amazing.
Let me know if this is a super hot take, but i think god form should've stayed up until the goku black saga. God form, they should've struggled against golden frieza. and then the saiyan duo team up to beat frieza, with a little visual foreshadowing of blue. And then when black and zamasu told goku about how they killed goku's family, that should've been the trigger to go blue. idk, lemme know if this sounds alright...
Ok, so this is how it always interpreted things. When Beerus says to whis “ssj god” I interpreted it as a sayan god, as goku’s hair didn’t transform, I consider what everyone called blue super saiyan god.
I bet Vegeta, trunks, bulla, goten and gohan all felt a bit of that power but Vegeta being so intune was able to pass it like he passed ssj3 and went straight to 4 in GT (I know we don’t talk about that)
Esthetically yes great transformation and blue is my favorite color but I still favor super 4 because that looks like the true form of a Saiyan. And I don't like the fact that they lost their tales which is apart of they origin

Simple because it was just a shameless cash grab and unnecessary at the time. It doesn't get any wins like that other than who a premature golden frieza.
How to fix it, Have Goku and Vegeta only use SSG to beat Frieza. Then in the Universe 6 vs Universe 7 arc have Goku debut Blue by stacking super Saiyan on top of SSG as a climax against Hit. Then the next arc we can get Goku and Vegeta both using Blue and Goku can still clash beams with merged Zamasu ans use Blue + Kaioken that would have gotten a pop from the fans instead of us wondering why Goku isn't using Blue Kaioken against Black. (Goku not using Blue Kaioken against Black during their 2nd fight was crazy.) Then everything else can play out regularly

Potara rings were never meant for mortal beings to use..........................sao there's that. Nd blue is the bridge between god and ui which requires extremely calm mind as shown when goku fought gas. Gas taunted him that why wasn't he angry at the sight of killing Granolah. Ui completely requires no thoughta to the point ur body auto adjusts movements. Blue is the perfect inbetween. Perfect blue DID BETTER against merged zamasu after fusion time ran out.
Personally I don’t hate the form I just think it’s the least iconic form, (I’m in the minority cos for some reason people think it’s Super Saiyan God probably because blue is used the most 🤷♂️) and it should of been called Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan God should of been called Saiyan God. If I was writing it I would’ve given them the forms in the Goku black arc. I would have had Zamasu kill future bulma in the presence of Vegeta, unlocking blue and replace Goku’s rage moment with unlocking blue. That probably would have made them more iconic and given the god forms more time in the sun.

I dnt hate ssjb at all I just agree with a lot of people that it was too rushed they just introduced ssjg then the next movie they introduce ssjb they never gave ssjg a chance to shine before making it an inferior transformation. They shoulda saved ssjb for either goku black arc or tournament of power

You going through trying to defend all the rest of the transformations, listing the differences between the forms ended up being more than SSB. You kind of worked against your own argument there. Lol.
I don't hate blue, it's just underwhelming and doesn't seem that impressive, lacked build up. And the qualities of SSB we don't really see, only told.
Like how SSB is more calm and stable which is a reason why kaioken can be stacked on it. Which is a problem with forms in general in super, we just given exposition on it, with little explanations or build up.
I was focusing more on talking about the hate it gets than my take on it lol

The only thing I would say I like about super Saiyan blue, is the in relining of the blue aura you can see the thin layer of the gold aura of super Saiyan.
Which they ended up changing later and just making it white.
Which ended up causing confusion later with Trunks super Saiyan rage form where it was literally the inverse. But had nothing to do with blue or god ki. And made figuring what the hell that form is and how it worked hella confusing at the time. ( And still is truthfully)

SSB gets hate because it ultimately does nothing. It has no reason to exist. God was cool and the new transformation with the series coming back. SSB was literally just made to be DBS’s super saiyan and nothing else. Cant deny how lame it ultimately is.
I don’t mind Super Sayian Blue. But I will mind is it’s so call power increase. Just listen in battle of gods Super Sayian God put up a better fight with the batttle with Beerus as a testament to its strength and feats. Super Sayian Blue we didn’t get anything like that. Not even multiplier number for the form. I guess they want us to treat it like the normal Super Super Sayian multiplier since every true fan knows super Sayian is X50 multiplier from your current base form. But even with that knowledge it doesn’t feel there’s a Gigantic increase in power considering how many loses they had in that form. So here is a what if idea what if they combined Super Sayian Blue with Super Sayian 4 the power increase and the way too obtain such a power will be worth the wait.
No one likes it because its just a hair change like frieza said ssj god was the first unique transformation with a color change and the aura was unique and added how godly the transformation was now they just completely overshadowed ssj god with ssj blue not only did that transformation came out of nowhere it completely destroyed the ssj god form and lore why introduce us to the form and you're gonna completely forget about and skip to blue ( one of the worst forms in design)

2013. Dragon Ball was already famous for becoming a transformation festival, Vegeta even jokes about it in canon. New canon movie in like 20 years comes out. New transformation. The design isnt "creative" (Goku hair red, oh look Kaioke again!). Overlal the movie was fun tho.
2014. Hell yeah morr Dragon Ball! Oh, Freeza is back. Again. Oh, literally not even gonna show the recently acquired transformation? Okay...? A NEW transformation? ALREADY? Lemme guess, its Super Saiyan God 2 and the color changes again! Oh no its EVEN STUPIDER... SUPER SAIYAN GOD SUPER SAIYAN. And its just Super Saiyan but blue. Its even less original than SSG, since we hadnt ACTUALLY seem Gokus base hairstyle in another color. Also Ressurrection F is quite literally a failure in every way, except art and animation.
Lets just say It wasnt JUST the transformation, but the whole context. The transformation itself was already pretty uninteresting, but it was also completely unnecessary. Coupled with a stupid sounding name, the hate foundation was set and even if it got somewhat less bad, its still there.
If SSG was called Saiyan God and SSB called Super Saiyan God it would be MUCH better
My thing is didn't SS1 take a lot of L's despite its lore being described as a hard to obtain power that creates a warrior with no equal that constantly gets stronger until the power overwhelms the user? Yet it lost to human cyborgs multiple times Frankenstein's monster and a discarded bubblegum mascot? So to say blue is an L sponge is pretty hypocritical. Don't get me started ok the UI glazers i can't stand them and how they praise a form that itself didn't get a proper dub by itself it shorted out against jiren, blue evolved and uub powered it up and it got one shot in the granola arc and during gas fight yes it did Damage but it still didn't get the job done

@@ghostslord-23 it has an original design, gives Goku 2 new awesome moves (as I remember) makes his tail relevant again, Raw primal Saiyan power,Goku turns to a badass and somewhat is a full cycle of the super Saiyan transformations.
