Next video: Training for my 40 time as a CFL videographer. Great video Peter!
That one ain’t happening 😂
Game day vlogging is always dope. You should def do more of these!
Def have more in the works!
Dude! Your hotel was like 2 blocks away from my place. Next time you are in town for a game, I'll give you my R6 Mark II and 70-200 to take to a game to do a camera comparison. LOL.
Seriously it's incredible to see the quality of your work. I grew up watching sports like the CFL on tv and it's crazy to think that you are using (pro) consumer available gear and making shots that are way better than what the networks have been doing for the past many decades.
lol I’m gonna have to take you up on that 😂 appreciate your kind words! I absolutely love that I get to produce this type of content for sports that so many people in Canada enjoy watching and appreciate you supporting my work!
Game Day!!! We back!
Yessir!!
Great video. Definitely need more of these.
Definitely tryna do more of em!
Keep them coming ❤
Will do!
Unreal vid as usual
Thanks!
Love your videos and work. Your close up shots are so clean. Definitely love to see more videos like these for the rest of the season.
@@KG.Visuals thank you 🙌 definitely trying to do more like this
Great vid bro! 🔥💪🏿
Thank you!!
Love the video!! thanks for showing everything! Great insight!
Of course, thanks for watching!
Loved the video! Would love to see more like this!!
Also would love to know how you store footage for backup. I keep an external hard drive but would like to back it up just to be safe.
I usually keep a couple of hard drives, usually an SSD and an HDD, and I have a 32TB redundant NAS from Synology that everything backs up onto as well
This is dope!!
Thank you!!
enjoyed the insight from this video! looking forward to some fb content👀
Happy you enjoyed it!
Love this video! Make more like it.
Amazing! I can definitely do that 😁
enjoyed this!
🙌
Great video. I’d love to see your organizing of clips process. I have a way I do mine but I know it isn’t the most efficient.
I go over that in this video!

Could you talk more about export settings for footage melts?
I talk about that in this video at 19:25

@@petersarellas thanks goat
i have a question. so when you were running to the endzone when they scored, you were holding your camera with the tamron lenses, not holding your fx30 that was on the mount correct? how does it just automatically look like you were recording on it when you were running like is there a certain setting where you can have a same recording with different cameras?
I was running with the FX3 and Tamron 35-150mm, and I was filming something else with that camera when this play started happening so it was already going and I just turned and captured the scoring play as it was happening
Hello. How much time do you have to submit finished material to a team/league? Usually, I come after the game and have no energy left.
Depends on the specific situation but usually I’m turning around either footage melts or an edit within a day or two
What's up boss man, hey I've watched a lot of your videos but maybe I haven't run into it yet. You show the good stuff but where's THE good stuff? Where's "HOW TO GET INTO" the field like the correct contacts to be looking for and how to achieve doing business to land the contract to shoot their teams as their exclusive media?(you know to avoid giving them a set of awesome images professionally done then suddenly it's a whole set of cell phone pics). Can you do a vid on a non-gatekeeping way to get INTO the field?
I feel like I’ve talked about getting into the industry in past q&a videos but I can’t think of a specific place to point you to for that info so it’s likely something I’ll delve into in a future video
@@petersarellas I'll keep scrolling through see when the last one was. Thanks for responding back though man!
Fx30 it’s on 1500 dollars right you think it worthy pick up for football game and sport overall or go with the a74 ..
Do you have to do anything special to check in camera gear at the airport? Also when filming in the rain do you use anything to protect your camera?
Usually when I’m at the airport I keep the actual lenses and cameras with me in my carry on, and the rest of the gear gets checked. I make sure to use a rugged hard case to keep it protected and it usually ends up going through oversized luggage because it’s ofc breakable equipment. As far as filming in the rain, I’ll sometimes put this clear plastic camera bag over my rig that has a big zippered hole at the bottom for inserting the camera and long openings on the sides for sticking your hands through and operating + on the front for the lens. Besides that just making sure to use weather-resistant equipment helps a lot.
@@petersarellas Awesome that’s great to know! Been wanting to know how to protect my camera in the rain. Happy I wasn’t over thinking it too much lol
