    What if I don't know the length of my cycle? I just had my birth control implant removed, but want to start TTC immediately. Can I go ahead and start using my ovulation strips?

    • @Healthcare-manager
      @Healthcare-manager  4 года назад +1

      Brandy, you can start at any time to start to get to know your personal LH hormone pattern. You also may want to check with your doctor for his/her suggestion. Every woman is different, and some women are able to conceive quickly after birth control, while it can take months for others. If you are ready to get started, I recommend that you go ahead and start testing, keeping in mind that it could take a little while for your body to re-regulate itself, so your predictions and pattern may change a bit over time.

    My cycle is 28 days . I don't know when to do it ?
    I mean i am practicing before going to join and make it with my future baby father .
    I did the test on my last day of my period ,negative
    Did it another day negative and today negative.. I don't want to waste any money either.
    I am planning on having a baby for December .
    I am going abroad for a short time
    My period will be between 22 November 2022 and 26 November 2022 for 5 days .
    My cycle is 28 days
    So maybe the 1st December is too early
    I will have to wait to travel and go at the right time .
    So if I could know whether this is 3 days before and 3 days after .I won't be wasting my time and will try to be there at least 1 days or 2 days before and stay like 1 day after then come back home as the sperm like up to 3 or 5 days in the body .

    This is a question both with these strips and the premom app IF you can help provide some insight with that. According to the ovulation test strip user manual, step 2 says, and I quote, “dip the white absorbent tip of the test into the urine up to the black “ MAX“ line and keep the tip in urine until dye rises into the result window. (Est. time: 5-10 seconds). Step four says “read the results between three and five minutes after immersion“ yet the timer in the premom app under the easy@home tab has a timer default of 7 minutes which I cannot seem to change. You said 3 seconds but the instructions say otherwise. Which one is right?

    • @Healthcare-manager
      @Healthcare-manager  4 года назад +1

      Hello Faith. You should read your results at five minutes on average. But there are cases were the dye is not completely dry at five minutes in which you should wait a few minutes longer. This is why the default time in Premom is set to seven minutes.

    • @faithwalker2287
      @faithwalker2287 4 года назад

      Easy at Home Healthcare, when they say let the dye rise into the window, does that mean until it rises as higher as it will go? My easy@home strips always have a pink tint in the window with the lines. Do I wait until the pink tint is white? It’s so confusing. I also took the liberty of testing first morning urine around 6 am and I found it to have more LH than my 10am or 2pm. Why do they say not to test first thing in the morning when other tests like Clearblue Easy OPK say it is recommended to test first morning urine?

    • @Healthcare-manager
      @Healthcare-manager  4 года назад +3

      @@faithwalker2287 Just until the dye starts to rise into the testing window. If you hold it in too much longer than that, you may over saturate the test. But for reading the result, read at 5 minutes or 1-2 minutes after if the pink dye is still finishing moving through the testing window. The test background may not be pure white, but the dye should have finished moving through the window. Please check out this most recently updated video: ruclips.net/video/_Tav2e1XtKM/видео.html Generally it takes some time for the LH hormone to build up in the body, and that's why the early afternoon time to evening time is recommended. Clearblue tests for more than one hormone, so that may be why they have a different recommended test time. Our pregnancy tests, for example, test for the hormone hCG, and it is best to test that hormone with first morning urine.

    So I am using these ovulation tests. It says to read them in 3-5 minutes but, which is it because at 3 minutes the line could be one shade and then at 5 minutes be even darker?

    • @Healthcare-manager
      @Healthcare-manager  6 лет назад

      Hi, there! I'm sorry we are just getting back to you. Anything after 5 minutes might give you a false positive, but a positive result reading between 3-5 minutes will be accurate.

    • @rosea164
      @rosea164 Год назад

      Of course
      Ovulation generally happens 14 days before your period
      Track your Ovulation from cycle day 8 upward
      Apart from the strip test, watch your discharge, discharge increases and gets strechy around Ovulation time
      Ovulation pain is such a good indicator of ovulation as well (mittelschmerz)
      Sperm survives in the female reproductive system for 2-5 days but based my experience having sex when the egg is released increases the chance of conception a lot
      Egg survives for only 12-24 h

    Hello, my wife was on birth control for over 15 years. She has been off the pills for over a year and still does not get her menstrual cycle (maybe she gets it but there is no blood). We would like to try and have a baby. The instructions on the "easy @ home " indicates to start using the strips on the first day of the cycle. Since she does not bleed, how would we know when to start using the strips?

    • @Healthcare-manager
      @Healthcare-manager  5 лет назад +1

      Hi, TKDTRES GARCIA, the best person to answer this question is your doctor. The absence of menstruation sounds like the absence of an ovulation cycle. He/she will have the best idea of your wife's current situation and can recommend how and when to start using the ovulation tests. However, we do normally recommend that women test at least once through a cycle to get a feel for the ebb and flow of their hormones. So, while waiting to talk with your doctor, your wife could start taking the tests at any time to see what's currently happening with her LH levels. She might also consider a doublecheck method to confirm she is ovulating, such as BBT temping or PdG tests. She might also track her CM if she is comfortable.

      Hi, Ihemere, to know when you ovulate, it's important to go beyond period tracking to other ovulation tracking methods because every woman is different. You can use ovulation tests, BBT temping, cervical mucus tracking, cervical positioning, etc, or a combination of any of these methods.

The Premom Ovulation Tracker app will allow you to take a picture of your test results and it will let you know if your LH is low, high or at its peak.
