Another cool thing about Carnival is all the free fights you get to see. If you're a fight fan thats some primo entertainment. Never know when a fight might break out or how many people it will involve.

I picked this trip based on itinerary. So I will come back to this video after if I decide to go on another. @@Eatsleepcruise1 yes, quite bold to pick such a long first cruise. I am very well traveled but just never on a cruise! For example, this spring I spent two months in Europe (Nice, Split and Vienna). This Princess cruise leaves from LA on Dec 1st (thankfully not in the Hurricane) and has stops in Costa Rica, Ecuador, a couple in Peru, a couple in Chile, a couple in Patagonia, Argentina, then to Antarctica and Cape Good Hope, a stop in Falklands, a stop in Montevideo, Uruguay and last stop is Buenos Aires. I am staying in BA for a month. This will be my 3rd trip to BA! In 2016-17 for 3 months, again in 2019 for two months and now this trip. It is a beautiful European feel city! Their economy sucks now but good for the dollar. The last few years, inflation has been over 100% per year!
We really don't have a favorite as of yet but we have sailed on NCL twice and Carnival ounce. We are however sailing on Celebrity Equinox for the first time in mid October and Oceania Vista at the end of December so we shall see if these lines become a favorite. Also would like to try Regent seven seas as well.

Min was $70, I bid $95.. premium balcony upgrade from standard balcony on aloha deck mid ship. Was hoping to get one of those bigger premium balcony rooms
That sounds like a fair bid. Again, it really depends on how many cabins they have, the number of bids, and the bid. We never bid much more than the minimum and we have been successful more than half the time. Let us know how you make out.

We are destination cruisers so if it goes there we take it. That said our two favorites for different reasons are Royal Caribbean and Holland America.
The destination certainly plays a factor. For instance, HAL and Princess are amazing in Alaska.

Have you ever thougt of cruising the two big german cruise lines? AIDA and TUIcruises (Mein Schiff) maybe you should give it a try.
