what is the benifit of a magnum head on the LA block, is the horse power increase 25 horsepower or considerbly more ? thank you for posting this video sir.
Iron headed a magnum head has an improved chamber and flow over most LA heads. I’d take magnum heads over iron LA heads anyday. On the flipside, swapping aluminum LA heads on a magnum block offers a wide selection of available intakes and rocker arms.
@@ThirteenTwentyRepair or a groove from the existing hole on the front of the cup. Then it would just oil backwards. Definitely better for oil pressure
I did the crossover tube mod for "better" oiling but this is an excellent idea to drill short hole and a tube for the head swap. 👍💪

@@ThirteenTwentyRepair thank you for the reply
Ok, this looks & sounds interesting. Subbed. I gotta see how this goes.
Greetings from the Great State of Alaska. Don't let yer meat loaf.
We do this on Buicks you could just use Halo pushrods and alter The rocker arms
Interesting, that would probably work. Drilling a hole in the pushrod socket to splash oil the rocker.

Wouldn't that mod flood the top end with oil without the timed, rotating restriction ?
A set screw drilled out as a restrictor would solve that.
