Tip: For iPhone to avoid having to open/turn on Personal Hotspot each time you connect (if you want to retain Internet Access while using Ownice):
- Enter your hotspot info as shown in video (the Ownice remembers your info)
- With your iPhone , create an Automation in the Shortcuts App to "When CarPlay connects, Set Personal Hotspot" and turn off "Ask Before Running" and "Notify When Run".
- Now the Ownice will connect to your hotspot to restore your Tesla's internet access automatically each time your phone connects to CarPlay. This will allow your Tesla's Apps to work again along with full use of Tesla Navigation (search etc.) while you are connected to Ownice
I keep my phone in my pocket when I get in my car and never need it to connect to this device with internet access.

Any firmware updates coming? Waze delay is very bad that it's useless and it causes loss of connection to Ownice

This is not working... as every time I get in tesla model y, the wifi is off and so you have to manually turn on the wifi, then connect to the ownice TSL-xxx wifi. I followed the instructions correctly and have checked remain connected in drive. To have to go thru turning on the wifi each time... makes this not worth the effort. I have updated the firmware many times. Hopefully you can provide a fix?

Tesla doesn't connect to ownice WiFi without hot spot enabled, but if you want to use Miracast on android it asks to switch off hotspot. So how to use Miracast?

Unfortunately, I have already spent 10 hours and it doesn't work... there is no Internet connection on the device, it cannot update and the Internet cannot be shared with it
