Nice video, great choice to review this! I'm running an Orion EON 130 APO which was a bargain compared with alternatives I looked at when I bought it nearly three years ago. Love it visually. It has near equivalent FK-61 ED glass but is slightly (13%) larger, and has a high-end focusser. But the OTA was fully twice the price that SVBONY are predicting for this, and I had to pay for the reducer separately. So with today's inflation I'll be pleasantly surprised if SVBONY it actually hits the price target they have set when it comes to market. Orion's newer FPL-51 130 APO is over 4K today. Let's cross our fingers though!
I think they might eliminate the free reducer but the price will probably stay the same. What is interesting is that their 80 triplet is half the price of this one. The 122 being more then twice the size is an interesting price climb because usually scopes more then triple when you double the size. Instead of just doubling.
Very nice scope ! My current visual setup is a 130 EDT (FPL-51) at 910mm /F7 . The mount is a DM-6 with encoders. A big 35mm Stratus adds even more weight, so having wheels on the rig is a plus. Thank you for the review.
Good video, I was very surprised on the price of $1595 with the reducer! WOW, I got an AT 125 EDL and it's a Doublet for more than that! Please make a video on how you somewhat balance that scope and AM5 please and don't forget making an video on the AM5 with and without the counter weight. Thanks .
I bought the APM 6" f/8 lens in cell and had Parallax instruments make a ring flange to thread onto the tube flange of my 6" F/8 Wollensak achromat lens in cell. I sold my TS 6" f/8 OTA with FPL-53 glass and cannot see much of a difference in its performance even though the FPL-53 doublets are the next best thing to fluorite in correcting chromatic aberration. Mine is a doublet whereas yours is a triplet which gives the opticians greater freedom in correcting various aberrations including chromatic.
After watching yours and other reviews of this scope. I've placed an order incorrectly. I've ordered 503 102 bundle and don't think it includes the scope. I'm reaching out to reviewers as svbony aren't responding to my messages. Thanks if you can help with any means of contacting them.
Has anyone compared this telescope with the Maxvision 127ED? (or Deepsky 127ED, ES 127ED, AT127EDT) How do they differ in image quality and presence of chromatic aberrations?
A beautiful refractor and it also has an excellent price.
It sure is!
An excellent refractor for that price. And its just 6.4 kg, very light for a 122 mm triplet.
Indeed it is!

Hello @amp2amp800, how is the Orion you have working out for visual observation, I was looking to get it for visual as well.
@@naanthony7807 Very very good! I wrote you a long detailed review but my finger appears to have hit cancel🤬so you'll have to just trust me on this!
@@amp2amp800 thank you!

Very nice setup.
What a beast! Good scope too!
Svbony now sells this refractor with 1399 $, which no doubt is a very good price.

Good stuff! and you will see it without a counterweight in future testing.

I have always wanted to make a scope from a lens cell.
Hello.
Can you tell me the model of guider ? Which SVBONy guider is it ?
I have all ZWO guide cameras.
Did you talk about any internal baffling or Flocking inside the main tube?
I did not. it seams adequate to me though
I have had very good results
flocking my 6 inch F/15 refractor and my
4 inch F/13.2 refractor tubes
as well as my 8 inch F/9 refractor tubes.
"Venus passed with 'flying colors'." Hee hee. Nice job with this review, as usual.
Glad you enjoyed it
Being a triplet, how long does it take to reach thermal equilibrium?
About 30min. Focus does not shift much with this scope.

Sorry to hear that did you get them? They are active on FB
@@TheNarrowbandChannel They have been on vacation. Thanks
Thanks for the video, can you please post some pictures from your test results? Thanks
Yes I will when i do the astrophotography review.

No one has side by side.
I am thinking of a 81mm scope f6 refractor for the am5 with the Pe 200. I have a 127mm cf f7.5 refractor. I need ZWO cameras and eaf. I have the aa+
A small scope is a better choice if your are a beginner. larger scopes need a greater skill set. The 533 cameras are a good starter camera.
Aren’t you a narrow band channel? 😅
Good vid tho.
I started with visual so i have to return to my roots every once in a while :). Ill be doing some more videos on this scope with narrowband soon.
Hey Bud, nice video.. are you on Instagram?
Yes I am as Grimstod
