I just want to explain how it works.
You can see that in the first phrase.
How do you get from C major to Bm7.
I want the Dorian scale to sound at Bm7. Therefore Cmajor must be transposed to Amajor (-3 or +9).
Bm7 is the 2nd degree of Amajor.
