Man, right in the feels. My grandmothers all passed away when I was very young so I don't have any memories of them. This was touching to hear, thank you for sharing Derek.
That's awesome. Love the classics illustrated story. I saw a ton of those when I was in Vinny's Garage. At the time, I had no idea that those things existed. Imagine my surprise when I saw the Count of Monte Cristo and The Tale of Two Cities. Lol Also, oldest comic I saw was Little Orphan Annie, 1934.
I love this video and the story of this book. Awesome book. A Christmas Carol is my favorite Christmas story of all time. You can't put a price on sentiment.
I don't have anything before the silver age. My oldest comic would probably be either Avengers #8 or Uncanny X-Men #14 or maybe Brave and the Bold #34.
I should also mention that my comics collection started thanks to my uncle Mike, who would always send comics for Christmas. Watchmen, Camelot 3000, reprinted collections of Spider-Man, Avengers and X-Men. He was the best.

It's incredible how many adaptations exist in comic book form - even today!

Thank you for watching! You definitely can't put a price on sentiment.
Great story and nice to have a comic book that has strong ties to a beloved family member. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the kind words and for watching!

Regardless of age, those are still some awesome books to own!
We both managed to skip reading Wuthering Heights lol.

That's really sweet of him, Joe! Watchmen is definitely one heckuva book to get someone started with!
Y'know, I remember the Wuthering Heights movie ending around chapter 8 of the book - which is what I had read up to! Boy, was I ever disappointed!
