Actually the intricate world building with the continental and it's rules and many people associated, phenomenal fight choreography, excellently shot fight scenes as well as the amazingly stylistic cinematography hold their own. Yes Keanu is very much part of the film series's success but the franchise does have a lot going for it that makes it work as well as it does not only Keanu. If John wick had shaky cam, paper thin world building, slow and clunky fights, over use of jump cuts....etc not even Keanu would be able to save that. So no Keanu is not the only redeeming factor of the franchise. Every single hollywood action movie should take note on how to film and choreograph action and learn a thing or to about world building from the John Wick franchise.

There’s no reason to assume he has Kevlar. Everyone else shot for the body, so it’s not like the Kevlar suit was something he was famous for. In fact, I think it was the first or second movie he did get shot in the body and it drew blood.
Remember, as far as everyone knew Wick was isolated. Hell, he even had to go to the underground at one point to even get bullets, so where is he going to pick up something even more uncommon?
Lastly, most of the assassins weren’t working together, so it’s not like they were constantly updating each other. It was an open contract.
Sure, in hindsight everything becomes 20/20. And a lot of movies make this sort of mistake, but honestly I don’t think this is one of them, it’s actually super reasonable why she did what she did.

I love John wick because it took the stylized nature of assassins from Mr and Mrs Smith, and created a whole universe of it. Love love love it.

He is one guy in an entire world of a movie with so many elements. He fit as a piece to the puzzle but he is not the puzzle.
there have been many spinoffs of john wick movies. not b list but yes spinoffs of the genre started to be made not even a year after the first movie came out. its just that john wick made this genre boom again

Actually the intricate world building with the continental and it's rules and many people associated, phenomenal fight choreography, excellently shot fight scenes as well as the amazingly stylistic cinematography hold their own. Yes Keanu is very much part of the film series's success but the franchise does have a lot going for it that makes it work as well as it does not only Keanu. If John wick had shaky cam, paper thin world building, slow and clunky fights, over use of jump cuts....etc not even Keanu would be able to save that. So no Keanu is not the only redeeming factor of the franchise. Every single hollywood action movie should take note on how to film and choreograph action and learn a thing or to about world building from the John Wick franchise.

As far as im concerned (not that my opinion means anything obviously) John Wick is the baddest dude in the history of film and television. HATED action movies until I found that series amd now I could watch all of them everyday for the rest of my life and not get tired of it.

John Wick Chapter 4 was so good. Really enjoyed it. They really wrapped it up nice, such a nice proper ending. Now he in heaven, resting in peace with Helen. Such a good movie/conclusion. Must watch!!!!!😮😮😮

Even when he played a much less polished Swergen in Deadwood his voice is everything.
I do respect that Santino didn’t call in the marker until after he thought John was back, but he really messed uo everything after that point.
He had a glimpse of the other side. Washington’s watching from the other side.
Now that I think about it why didn’t he just put the open contract for the $2 mil on his sister instead of involving John with the marker, if mostly everyone is willing to risk their life against JOHN WICK, then someone would’ve been successful in killing his sister in no time, this made NO SENSE.
