    Ah, the mid 80s, where they decided every summer movie needed to have a TV pilot. This proto Forrest Gump meets Rain Man (via the Graduate) meets PeeWee's Playhouse is an oddly star studded weird fest, but proably worse than Splash Too, (which I have seen). How about Teen Wolf Too and other Toos. Jerk Too is a fantastic trainwreck, but it's not fantastic, just incredibly bad.

    I can explain Jean LeClerc's IMDB Photo. It's a screenshot from his murder on the ABC soap opera "Loving." Most of the old cast on the show was killed off to make way for Loving's short-lived spinoff/replacement, The City, which starred Morgan Fairchild.
    There was a mass murderer who killed off various characters, and Jeremy Hunter (Leclerc) gets plastered to death.
    Jeremy Hunter was also initially a priest who was successfully seduced by Erica Kane on All My Children, but that is neither here nor there.

    • @targaghjj
      @targaghjj 2 года назад

      Actually, the photo is from a movie called Whispers based on the book of the same name by Dean Koontz. In the photo he is a corpse, post autopsy. I can't reveal any more without spoilers. He was very good in it by the way.

    This is the type of feature that feels way longer than it is due to how painful it is to see Navin in every scene. At least shows like St. Elsewhere, Hill Street Blues, Knight Rider, Cheers, Different Strokes, Night Court, Gimmie A Break, The Facts of Life, and Family Ties survived those dreadful years. You should take a look at this one blaxploitation movie called "Soul Vengeance", where the main character uses his giganto-penis to strangle bad guys.
    Aldo, please take a look at Japanese horror movies? House (Hausu), Sweet Home, Junk, and the like.

    I thought this movie was going to be silly fun but it's annoying. Also I need context for @0:08 because (@_@")?

    I watched, Splash Too. It was bad. But, this sequel/backdoor TV pilot is far worse.

    You do understand the word "jerk" used to mean stupid, right? The title of The Jerk was not meant to indicate that the character was (or ever turned into) a mean person. Hell, even after he struck it rich, he was still a pretty nice guy. Gave money to charity, sent a lot of it home to his family. Sure he throws a hilarious shit-fit in one scene (with the paddle-ball and the remote control, etc.), but he never really turns into what we today would consider a jerk, because the word didn't mean that then.
    In the '70s (and possibly prior), if someone was considered easily jerked around due to stupidity, they were a jerk. But somewhere in the '80s it went from stupid to mean. Same thing happened with the word "asshole" hence the whole "How many assholes have we got on the ship anyway?" sequence in Spaceballs. Once upon a time it indicated stupidity, but then it changed over to indicating that someone was mean, and it was no longer a comment on their level of intelligence. Words do that sometimes.

    I sometimes think that Steve Martin, who produced this abomination, made it horrible intentionally in order to make the original, and therefore himself, look even better by comparison.
