Chris, I think the reason for the difference in quality is that the marvel toys were developed by toybiz back in the day. After they closed their doors, Hasbro got the license to do marvel figures hence the difference.

8:54 they’re cheap because toybiz no longer makes marvel figures, they also went out of business because they spent too much money on adding tons of accessories, detailed display based and super detailed figures.
This comment is really late, but to give you some deep lore about why the marvel toys are cheaper made nowadays is because Toybiz (the company that used to make marvel legends, and made all the spiderman movie figures) spent so much money making them and charged so little that they went bankrupt, so the license was handed to hasbro, who still makes pretty good product but they’re much more laid back than the amount of effort toybiz put in
