Found your channel a few days ago and watched all of your restoration videos. Love it. I'm in the UK. I've got a 1979 Bay Window Westfaia Berlin Deluxe. It's a Californian import it was imported and painted in 2007. I bought it in 2009 and fully restored it in 2010. It's starting to look a bit tired now with a few rust patches. Your skills have inspired me to tackle mine. First, I need to have a clear out of my garage and get it inside. It currently lives outside 🙈

I love your channel and learn so much! If I’m missing the video about this I apologize in advance, but as someone who is starting to restore a 72 bus with very little body work experience, I’d love to see a list of power/pneumatic tools that you are using to do all of this. I’ve just dropped a ton of cash on a welder and training up on drops before I start building the rotisserie and chopping into the bus, and my compressor is being delivered in a couple of days! I’m trying to figure out how to dodge buying unnecessary tools!

Another great video. Very helpful, but also making me dread all the body work and rust repair I still have to do on my 73.

It always amazes me how long such a tiny can take. If you factor in driving to get the piece, removing the piece, reconditioning the piece, installing the piece, then finally priming and painting. I hope that you're keeping track of the time just for sh_ts and giggles. Not that I'm aloud to say anything due to the amount of time that I've put into my bug.
    Very nicely done as expected.

    Awesome. You doing great.
I’ve got a few days off my bus as I forgot to put gloves on whilst grinding. Dropped the grinder on the palm of my left hand.
Wow they are good at removing material.
It’ll heal. Be another bus scar.
    Keep going. Love the videos

That salvaged section cleaned up beautifully and you made it into a really good repair. I'm not sure how effective the seam sealer will be after the welding burnt so much. Best wishes for 2024.

Hopefully it holds the outer skin from oil canning and didn't burn up too much

It's good to see that you still have access to decent paint stripper! Legislation over here (UK) has left our paint strippers to be absolutely useless...........
