I don't overstand some reggae music and music from west Afrika like Burna Boy , Salif Keita I don't overstand the lyrics but the instrumental I can get deep into because I'm a musician and lyrical content because of melody of the voices. I don't think he's trying to reach a note at the end. In the whole song you can see the dramatization of it through the delivery. You could call it theatricality too I guess. He's playing with everything and it sounds like he's doing conversations and doing the voices. A very appreciated touch.
This guy is a french guy coming from Mali, Africa. He is a fan of Muse and jazz music but he is also inspired by french hip hop (Booba) and the great old school french music like Aznavour.
