I like the dual analogue gauges with the smaller tft. We stare at screens all day whether it be our phones or work computer/tablets. It's a refreshing change to jump on a modern bike and not stare at a I-Pod screen dash.
It offers the rider more safety technology than the ZX14r, which is important for urban driving. The safety tech is what attracts me to the bike. Without the new gadgets, the zx14r would be superior.

I took a demo ride on the new hayabusa a few days ago and it really surprised me. The comfort, the power, how easy it is to ride and just overall how smooth it was. I can see why people use them as touring bikes now. I honestly wouldn’t mind owning one. Great bike.
I have a 2022 Gen 3 Hayabusa and I love it. I recently went on an 1,100 mile ride through the Appalachian mountains on it and found it to be fairly comfortable but I was still fairly sore after a 6-7 hour day. Since then I've added a heli-bar riser and it's helped tremendously with comfort without compromising the sporty feel. To anyone who thinks this bike is an uncontrollable monster you're dead wrong. Actually I find this machine to be very docile in the low rev range (
Thanks for the review! I've been looking to hear some details like this, as I'm looking at buying a new Hayabusa. Are there any other bikes you had considered?
Wow that is quite the review. I demo’d one the other day and I gotta say, I kinda fell in love with it. Sad to hear about the luggage options as I’d use it the same way you do and occasionally have my wife on the back when she isn’t riding next to me. Thanks for your very detailed review. This may be my next bike if the insurance companies don’t kill me first 😂
I had a 2019 ZZR1400 for about 18 months. You can't enjoy them in the UK anymore, especially with the new lower speed/ higher fines. I went back to basics with a 2022 V7 Special and now really enjoying just riding and not racing everything.
I always thought the busa made more sense than say a fireblade or s1000rr. They are fast sure but they have loads of torque and don’t need to be pushed flat out all the time. And they are actually quite comfortable for touring big miles.
I’ve owned a Gen1 Busa from new, then a Gen2. They’re stable, fast, and so smooth and reliable. I now have the new Katana and it’s more fun, most of the time, not because of anything bad about the Busa. They’re just too easy to ride too fast and we’ll above any speed limit. The Katana is much lighter and handles better in the twisties at almost half the price and risk of license loss. Still would love to own the Gen3, but that would be an emotional decision not necessarily a sensible one.
BS : a new Katana is 14200 euros, a new Hayabusa is 18490 euros. For that money the Busa gets you nearly 38PS more, over 30Nm more, lean angle ABS, hill hold assist, 6 axis IMU, wheeli control, launch control, cruise control, speed limiter, TFT and analog screen, better brakes 320mm Stylema, 299 kmh top speed, quickshifter with settings and an engine that has a 150000km warranty/reliability. For only 4290 euros less (far from your half price claimed, but in reality only a quarter cheaper than the busa) the Katana has a bad screen only traction control and a regular quickshifter. So for 4k less you loose so much stuff with the Katana. And Hayabusa will always have more reputation than a Katana, so the resell value of the Busa will remain higher and a Katana will drop into the abyss in value. The Katana is a cool bike (with an awesome retrowave futurism look) but for the same generation and lower price 13100 the new GSX-S1000 is better than the new Katana and for just 2k more the GSX-S1000GT plus is better than both (side cases plus TFT screen with navigation). Price/performance 18k euros a Hayabusa new is a good deal compared to 27k euros better bike Fireblade SP (but 9k more). And for your price argument a gen 1 Hayabusa costs sub 8k used so does a K1300S and K1300R, all 3 better bikes than the Katana new (more comfy, electronic suspension, more torque (and shaft drive for both K's, good for touring). Hopefully for 15k a new updated for 2024 Katana will offer the same level of electronics and brakes of the current Hayabusa, add the TFT of the new Suzuki 8S or keep the analog dials of the first gen Katana and drop 5 to 10 kg of weight, keep the same K5 based engine, add the same 19 liters tank of the GSX-S1000, add the possibility to put the same side cases of the GSX-S1000GT Travel Edition, that would be a Katana i would consider buying.
Katana is 215kg with not much electronics, S1000R new or used is plus minus 200kg full of electronics (196kg in it's M version), a Super Duke R is plus minus 198kg that 17kg less than the heavier Katana. If weight and handling are your priorities a Duke 890R is 183kg wet. The weight perception also depends on the size (height, weight, strength) of the rider. Ride safe. Peace.

I owned 2 gen 1 hayabusas and those bikes were plenty quick ,the laws of physics haven’t changed in the last 10 years as far as i know so they are still quick,if you want more put a TTS supercharger kit on it ,these are still an amazing bike.

My baby Busa ain’t HYPE. Since I’ve had it I’ve never had anyone pull up beside me and challenge me 👉🏽not even “once” It’ll go to 196 miles an hour -before you can twist your throttle. Of course, mine isn’t a 2022... Amongst Hayabusa owners? we don’t even tell you the year anymore. Find out on the highway🔥
Still a 9sec stock bike in the 1/4 if that's what you're into. All the so-called hyper-bikes hover around the same performance area. I chose the gen3 busa over a 1liter bike because it's not stressing as much if I decide to push it. All motor with no forced induction. Chose it over the Zx14r because of cruise control. I'm not to thrilled about engine case design on Zx14r. Being the owner of a Kz1000 (1135kit)back in the day the design looks weird to me. The bike is a monster if you're pushing it around in the garage. All of that goes away when you ride it. Extremely agile and any legal speed limit feels slow for some reason.
When the GEN-1 came out I hated the looks of it - I was a ZZR1100 boy. Now I'm well into my 50's and I wanted a bike that was awesome at everything - probably my last bike before retirement. After lots of searching I went for the GEN-3 and so glad I did. It's a brilliant bike.
I would like to ask if this slip-on exhaust requires air-fuel adjustment (ECU flash)? There are many contradictions. Half of them say that it is not necessary, the other half says that it is necessary.
That is a bike, for people who want to ride fast on the street on a bike big enough to absorb the bumps. It's a waste of time comparing it to a GSX or a zx10r, which are track bikes that can be used on the streets.
Nostalgia is a powerful thing. We all still love our first girlfriend, or the one that got away. There's nothing different about our first 'bike love'.
MotoBob, when riding the 2022/23 hayabusa, did you feel ANY kind of vibration through either the pegs or the handlebars when you went 60 mph or faster ?
Interesting. I've had three 'Busa's. A Gen 1 '06 second hand , a new 09 Gen 2 followed by my current Gen 2 bought new as well in 2011 which I still own. I had some money back then . Those were the days Traded my '09 in on the '11 simply because I liked the new 'Busa in black with the red highlights . Had my money ready to buy the new Gen 3 'Busa but, it doesn't offer what I was hoping for. Instead of a beefier power plant aligned with the ZX14 with more capacity and power we have we have less of that and more digital frippery. That leaves me totally cold. Not what I was hoping for. I'll hang on to my Gen 2 for now. Keep my money in the bank. Thanks for the post.
I've was around even before the first generation Hayabusa and I remember the 200 mph talk and while 185 to 190 mph is fast the stock bike wasn't ever a true 200 mph but nothing else was either. I've rode a couple stockish Zx1400Rs with 170 to 200 rwhp while land speed racing and got close but never 200 mph. I've run with many Hayabusas and BMW S1000RRs out there and we were all about the same, some a little faster and some a little slower. Admittedly we were on salt and the density of altitude was terrible so that hurt us. I've never had the opportunity to safely run on pavement wide open for two to three miles at sea level...so maybe around 200 rwhp horsepower gets 200 mph. In any case riding these bikes on the street is like watering your yard with a fire hose it can be done but it will be scary.
What Suzuki should have done was turned the Hayabusa into a sport tourer. How cool would that be? I'm too old to be riding a bike that I have to lay down on
@@heroshotlgn but it does have optional luggage rack from the factory. Not to mention it has less aggressive riding position. As for seats, that thing is huge! The only thing it lacked is an update in which the busa did
@@K113-A luggage rack option is nice, but easier to add a rack to a bike than aftermarket cruise. And I dont think there's any difference in the ergonomics of the 2 bikes, if there is it's super super tiny.
Traded my H2 SX for a 22Busa. Busa handling is quicker , feels way more planted upping the pace . Definitely not as top heavy , being long and low helps. Busa makes me smile more too . Chris
Never understood why Suzuki never makes sharp lines . All are curved edges and no sharp fairing at all. Even in gsxr1000 it's the same compared to other manufacturers
I still enjoy my 1st gen with a resister on the right wire and a 4-2-1 exhaust that was tweaked by Dremel... just short of 64k, sharing the garage with my 1st gen Vstrom. variety!
Always remember the OG Busa as the Bugatti Veyron of the bike world - unfathomably more powerful and faster than anything else, outrageously expensive and ironically pointless. It was too racey and uncomfortable to be a touring bike and too cumbersome to be a sports bike, but it had the ultimate bragging rights of being the fastest thing on the road. Today I see it's still uncomfortable, still fat but now it doesn't have the stand out speed & power that made it special.
@@clanmac66 They do in the US,I looked at a 2023 model last Saturday and they sell the 2023 ZX-6r here as well, my friend just bought one.I have the 2021 ZX-14r.Euro5 sucks.
Well tbh, the hyperbike class isn't that suitable with the current situation. Since 2000s, the speed is limited to around 300 kph & the Superbikes nowadays makes more horsepower with also smaller size & easier to handle. Except manufacturers go with the forced induction like the H2/R Edit: as for touring purposes, it's more worth to buy a litre sport-touring bike rather than having this enormous size to go for distances
@@BT_life2 what's your experiences then? This Hayabusa is nothing but a legacy now. That's why Suzuki hasn't update anything except the looks of it & revising its emission
Each and every superbike is a hype 😂😂😂. It's just an emotional bs vehicle that's bought by super rich people to show off to the people below them. Nothing else. Other than going the unnecessary 350kmph, There's nothing your regular 150-200 cc vehicle can not do and that also with supremely superior mileage.
You are buying a performance class bike. It's not a learn to ride bike. The busa, zx14r, harley street glide, gold wing, etc. are high performance level bikes.

With all due respect to you and Suzuki, this bike is a disappointment, why you ask? I will tell you: Put this next to the gen 2 and most people will tell you it can pass off as a face-lift not an all new model The weight is ridiculous and unacceptable for a high performance machine fit for the Hayabusa name You can't put out a press release saying we had all these amazing engine options to put in the new bike and then say yea we decided to put the same engine in and yea we couldn't even push it harder than the old one so now you have a heavier bike and less power. This bike is like the supra of bikes, all hype no go, and this is exactly why Japanese manufacturers struggle to sell them because they bank on the hype and forget that we now live in a self marketing industry, if your product doesn't have the numbers behind it it won't sell no matter how good a hype you have. The Honda NSX, the Supra and the Hayabusa are prime examples. Why doesn't Ducati suffer from this? Because they develop the living shit out of their bikes because they have to keep their bikes at the cutting edge of performance because when someone is gonna spend this much money on anything, you don't wanna say to your buddies yes I have the new busa which a 2012 panigale could smoke you wanna say I have the best of the best and thats what the Japanese don't get Reliability ain't enough anymore because the euro manufacturers are just as reliable if not even more as I have read some people complaining the busa engine blowing up for random reasons and people are upset. Now sure yes its a great bike in isolation and has more than enough performance for anyone, but why do you think people are so excited about the TTS supercharged superbusa? Because that was what people had hoped Suzuki would do, a bike that could put the Ninja H2 on notice in the hyperbike world. Honestly if the Japanese don't change their mindset they will be asleep at the wheel of the motorcycle industry
The Hayabusa is at least $10k less than either a Ducati or H2. If you’re building a dragster, then a Hayabusa is a great platform to start with. FJB 🖕🇨🇳
You’ve got no idea. Shave 25kg with an aftermarket exhaust because they’ve gotta meet emissions laws. Yeah, it’s wider. It’s a sports tourer. With a better front screen & risers these are meant to be more comfortable on the highway. I’ve never heard of them blowing up. There’s no engine failure issue. Mmmm wrong. The superbusa sucks. The yanks have been turbo’ing them for years and it’s a far superior setup if you’re looking to drag race. I’d expect this to be the most comfortable bike over 240km/h
Don't hate appreciate we don't need your review Go buy one and ride full time then you'll understand this bike is top of the food chain The only thing you could get that's faster is a H2R and you'll need a half mile to pass the boost cuz I'll take you in the quarter. You're better off being quiet. Besides nobody asked your opinion.
all this ultra-speed bike stuff complete meaningless, very few will ever go top-speed on these things and if you do you cant tell the diff between 130 and 180. its all freeking fast. All modern bikes are fast and amazing, none of them are that much better than the other.
Maybe YOU can’t tell the difference between 130 and 180 but there’s a pretty big difference. I used to cruise at like 130 mph but topped out at 172 mph. I’ll agree sort of, to someone that barely ever goes over the speed limit 130 might be face melting but to us that like to go fast frequently 130 doesn’t even stir any emotion.
@@My.name.goes.here. right thats why i said "few" will ever do it, racers yes, guys in areas with big open smooth stretches, yes, but thats a small population. I am just saying that 130 will get you there plenty fast...adding 50mph to it is a lot but you are already going ballistically fast.

Another Brilliant Bike review by undoubtedly one of the best bike reviewers on youtube. Thanks MOTOBOB👍👌
I owned 2 gen 1 hayabusas and those bikes were plenty quick ,the laws of physics haven’t changed in the last 10 years as far as i know so they are still quick,if you want more put a TTS supercharger kit on it ,these are still an amazing bike.

Thx.
I like how they have gone back to the projector lamp headlight. My 2009 GSXR has it. I bought my bike brand new and havent seen a nicer Gixxer front end since.
Great reviewmand thanks for the discount xodemas I have now ordered a screen protector for my 1200 tiger. Cheers.
My baby Busa ain’t HYPE.
Since I’ve had it
I’ve never had anyone pull up beside me
and challenge me
👉🏽not even “once”
It’ll go to 196 miles an hour
-before you can twist your throttle.
Half of them say that it is not necessary, the other half says that it is necessary.
the gen 3 is worth every single penny & much more.
The most beautiful Busa ever.
Great video as always. By the way, there's an Adobe Premiere message "New frames need analyzing; click Analyze." at the 7:11 mark.
Doh! Too late now it's up... I need to keep an eye out for that next time. Thanks for the heads up!
I like the intro where the guy is in a 180mph riding position but is doing about 20mph.
Most favourite bike ever ❤. Always hold my heart since i born.💓
That is a bike, for people who want to ride fast on the street on a bike big enough to absorb the bumps.
It's a waste of time comparing it to a GSX or a zx10r, which are track bikes that can be used on the streets.
I need to stop watching your videos. You have a way of making almost every bike you cover fit into my collection.
There's just one main problem with the Gen 3 Busa?..........it isn't a patch on the ZZR 1400 😀
Did you click _Analyze_? We need to know...
Interesting. I've had three 'Busa's. A Gen 1 '06 second hand , a new 09 Gen 2 followed by my current Gen 2 bought new as well in 2011 which I still own. I had some money back then . Those were the days
Traded my '09 in on the '11 simply because I liked the new 'Busa in black with the red highlights .
All of us are expecting the h2 competitor
But never come😢
And again, what’s it like on fuel apart from that covered everything?
I managed to get my buddy's 12 ZX14 with 205 rwhp to 180. I think it could've gotten to 200 if I had more room.
I have a gen 1 and a gen 11 turbo and a brand new 2022 gen111 busa and the 111 is the best hands down, what a machine the gen111 is awesome 👌
I like Suzuki Hayabusa, the new and the old generations !
What Suzuki should have done was turned the Hayabusa into a sport tourer. How cool would that be? I'm too old to be riding a bike that I have to lay down on
change to a taller windscreen and rest your chin on your tankbag; works with my 1st gen for iron butt rides!
Great review, thanks 👍🏻
This is the kind of bike I like. However, I would go with the ZX-14R as it has some touring capabilities
The ZX is actually less of a tourer. 'Busa has cruise control

Really?
GSX1300R❤️
You can make them look all fruity with bags
Zx14 isnt a smooth throttle and can just take off way to fuckn fast. Busa is a better touring bike
All well and good, but what we really want to know is . . . . who chipped the front fender??? 😁
Not I! Promise
Check out Ruriko 675. She tours Japan on one these. 👍🤪🇨🇦
Its just awsome. Eighter you love it ore you hate it. Almost traded in my 08 gsxr1000 bak in 09, but it was a bit heavy for track days.
Yea, forget the nostalgia, just go with what's there.
They are great bikes. There’s just something very special about them.
Did you answer your own question ? Is it ?
Sometimes I love imperfections than being 100%, there are better alternatives for the price but who cares. Busa has a character of its own.
They should make sport bikes with a handlebar height adjustment.
They’re called bar risers lol
The Name, … says it all really. Even car nuts love a Hayabusa
set the cruise at 75, lay back and steer by your helment...lovly
Does this thing feel lighter or less top heavy than the h2s?
Traded my H2 SX for a 22Busa. Busa handling is quicker , feels way more planted upping the pace . Definitely not as top heavy , being long and low helps. Busa makes me smile more too .

Never understood why Suzuki never makes sharp lines . All are curved edges and no sharp fairing at all. Even in gsxr1000 it's the same compared to other manufacturers
I have one and for me this is the best motorbike
264kg kerb weight? For a big, plush, sports tourer 🤔 I'll take that. Which is still 4kg lighter than a GS - an "Adventure" bike 😂🤣😂

@yammienoob you need banning from this platform
Can’t really help it. I don’t like this motorbike. The engine is a beast but the design sucks. It looks like a potato with wheels
While saying words such incredible power amazing torque and wearing a raincoat and a chinese yogurt cup as a helmet does not go well together
The person on the bike looked crazy leaned over.
I still enjoy my 1st gen with a resister on the right wire and a 4-2-1 exhaust that was tweaked by Dremel... just short of 64k, sharing the garage with my 1st gen Vstrom. variety!
I love it, if I could afford one I’d have one.
The ZX-14r will do just about everything this bike does for less money. Good video though.
Except they don't sell them anymore.

Panigale v4 best in looks and agression
Well tbh, the hyperbike class isn't that suitable with the current situation. Since 2000s, the speed is limited to around 300 kph & the Superbikes nowadays makes more horsepower with also smaller size & easier to handle. Except manufacturers go with the forced induction like the H2/R
Edit: as for touring purposes, it's more worth to buy a litre sport-touring bike rather than having this enormous size to go for distances
Clearly you haven’t ridden both for a few hour stretch.
@@BT_life2 what's your experiences then?
This Hayabusa is nothing but a legacy now. That's why Suzuki hasn't update anything except the looks of it & revising its emission
Your title is very distrespectful
How? It's a question

A 2016 Aprilia 1100 is years beyond that bike and is is way cheaper. Good luck with selling that old crap!
Emotional? Lmao, you couldn't even give me one.

Suzuki may soon gonna wind up their motorcycle division if they do not invent.
BUSA!!!!
Such a dream💙💙💙💚😍😍
There's not been a market for the Busa since 2005. Other bikes have taken it over.
You are buying a performance class bike. It's not a learn to ride bike. The busa, zx14r, harley street glide, gold wing, etc. are high performance level bikes.
bland bike and what it common does it have with a fat chick? Fun to ride until your friends find out and your friends are old dudes who stare and squat next to bikes talking about days gone😂 also, plenty for sale 2nd hand, so what does that say?

@@t.s.racing You still have to show financial responsibility. It's a risky gamble.
With all due respect to you and Suzuki, this bike is a disappointment, why you ask? I will tell you:
Put this next to the gen 2 and most people will tell you it can pass off as a face-lift not an all new model
The weight is ridiculous and unacceptable for a high performance machine fit for the Hayabusa name
You can't put out a press release saying we had all these amazing engine options to put in the new bike and then say yea we decided to put the same engine in and yea we couldn't even push it harder than the old one so now you have a heavier bike and less power.
Because they develop the living shit out of their bikes because they have to keep their bikes at the cutting edge of performance because when someone is gonna spend this much money on anything, you don't wanna say to your buddies yes I have the new busa which a 2012 panigale could smoke you wanna say I have the best of the best and thats what the Japanese don't get
Reliability ain't enough anymore because the euro manufacturers are just as reliable if not even more as I have read some people complaining the busa engine blowing up for random reasons and people are upset.
Sorry.... But your Audio is horrible.
all this ultra-speed bike stuff complete meaningless, very few will ever go top-speed on these things and if you do you cant tell the diff between 130 and 180. its all freeking fast.
I am just saying that 130 will get you there plenty fast...adding 50mph to it is a lot but you are already going ballistically fast.
all busas are just hype they are the Supra of the bike world.
