What? In this entire arc, Anakin is a possessive douche who keeps insisting that Padmé drop the mission because he's jealous. He doesn't even trust her to not have an affair, even though she's clearly not in love with Clovis. How is that cute?
@@pranavarvind4281 While I think he was very much in the wrong at times during this arc, there's context behind his apprehension. Clovis was far too close to the situation that'd gotten her poisoned the last time they'd seen eachother. That and he'd betrayed the Republic by aligning with the separatists. Anakin's mentality throughout the show is keep his friends safe at any cost. So his distrust of Clovis because of the danger he'd previously put Padme in paired what was indeed jealously made him very hostile. There's also the matter of Clovis not knowing how to take no for an answer, while he couldn't do anything about it.
This shows how noble Anakin is even to those he despised the most. He wasn't going to let Clovis die like that, he still had a heart for everyone deep down.
That isn’t really noble, it’s being a human being. The guy would be a piece of sh if you would let a man die because he’s jelaous. Also he clearly wasn’t gonna harm padme, he was just trying to not get harmed by anakin and get his attention

Saving Padme from life threatening situations has been something he did for most of his career as a Jedi Knight. Some bad guy holding up a gun on Padme? It’s just Tuesday.

And even more evidence that it was difficult to levitate certain things is shown when most Jedi have to STOP, WAIT A MINUTE. Theory: Anakin secretly wanted Clovis to die because Clovis had previously attempted to "get it on" with Padme. Otherwise, he would have probably been able to use telekinetic Force abilities to lift both Clovis and Padme up onto the platform.
It's not a theory... I'm pretty sure Anakin didn't want the "scum" to get away with adultery, so he secretly wanted Rush Clovis killed and he did so "unintentionally"... I'm also certain that if someone were to put her in jeopardy, he'd crush the building to save her. Besides, they Ani and Padmé do "get it on" sometime after this event... so everything technically still works out... at least for Sidious, Vader, and the Senator's death :/
Well, Anakin certainly isn't perfect at least he'd never hurt Padme. Before anyone jumps down my throat, I don't consider that force choke scene as Anakin choking Padme more Vader choking Padme. I highly doubt that Anakin would have ever laid a hand on her, Vader I'm not so sure of. While it's pretty obvious in comics that Vader never stopped loving Padme, I have no idea how he'd treat her if she did stay with him.
hmmm thats a tricky question. Vader regrets being a sith (mentioned somewhere), if padmé was alive and gave him the same choice to runaway again. He would take it I think
Pretty much, force choking Padmé is to show how far into the Dark Side Vader was at that point because if he was in his right mind, Anakin would have never dreamed of hurting Padmé because she is the love of his life.
You know, Anakin may have force choked Padme but at least he didn't use her as a hostage. Seriously, what the hell Clovis? I thought you loved her. Anakin wasn't thinking straight so that's pretty much his excuse but you were completely sane.

For one, there was a war going on around them. Second, the fight with padme was already weighing in his mind. Do not forget Anakin is an emotional idiot. What? In this entire arc, Anakin is a possessive douche who keeps insisting that Padmé drop the mission because he's jealous. He doesn't even trust her to not have an affair, even though she's clearly not in love with Clovis. How is that cute?
@@pranavarvind4281 tbh if your wife got almost killed last time she saw this man you won’t want her to be near him anymore
@@pranavarvind4281 Last time his wife got poisoned because of a "mission" with this same man. And she wants to go again.
Pranav Arvind This man literally tried to force himself on his wife.
I was sure I knew Clovis' voice from somewhere.
"Y-you've all been deceived!"
"... By you."
"No! By Cipher!!"

This shows how noble Anakin is even to those he despised the most. He wasn't going to let Clovis die like that, he still had a heart for everyone deep down.
And people think he intended for Clovis to die.
That isn’t really noble, it’s being a human being. The guy would be a piece of sh if you would let a man die because he’s jelaous. Also he clearly wasn’t gonna harm padme, he was just trying to not get harmed by anakin and get his attention
@@lpmusic4471Man Clovis Is an asshole he forced himself upon padme even though She rejected him three times he Is a sexual offender. And Is a creep

I like how Anakin wasn't an emotional wreck in this scene. Especially with Clovis pressing a gun against Padme's head. Unlike when he walked in on him about to kiss Padme, he was all business and focused here.
Saving Padme from life threatening situations has been something he did for most of his career as a Jedi Knight. Some bad guy holding up a gun on Padme? It’s just Tuesday.
You know what I don't get. Why didn't Anakin just Force Grip Clovis to save him? I mean he's a jedi. Remember when he was fighting Baris, & he Force Gripped her up to a tree? He could have saved Clovis. You know sometimes I think he forgets he's a Jedi who had over 20,000 Midiclorians.
+Alex Schloesser Anakin secretly wanted Clovis to die, he just didn't want to admit it. Since Clovis loved Padme.

Anakin: he died of natural causes
Padme: you let him go

Actually. Now that I've watched this enough. I don't blame Anakin. I think Anakin was using so much power to hold both that he couldn't use the force.
Nope, he just wanted to fucking kill him.
@@mossthey I think Jonnathan is right. People have limits, even Jedi. I'm sure he wanted Clovis gone, but I don't think the force was an alternative.
Johnathan Clark, i completely agree. he had to stay focused on trying to hold them both. if he had turned his attention to using the force he would have have dropped them both.
@@palpatinesboi9549 And himself along with them, I mean look at that position he was in. People forget that even as the chosen one/mr 20,000 midichlorians Anakin needs extreme amounts of focus to levitate things, even Yoda struggled to save Obi and Ani back in ep 2.
And even more evidence that it was difficult to levitate certain things is shown when most Jedi have to STOP, WAIT A MINUTE. (Even OG Trilogy Luke had problems with Rocks, and what not)
And close their eyes, focus on their connection to the force, and do just that, and if he did that, the likelihood of Padme and Clovis both dying would probably be way too high to risk it.

One of his first lessons was to use the force
Also technically Padme didn't cheat.

I highly doubt that Anakin would have ever laid a hand on her, Vader I'm not so sure of. While it's pretty obvious in comics that Vader never stopped loving Padme, I have no idea how he'd treat her if she did stay with him.
Are you forgetting the fact that he force choked her in Revenge of the Sith?
@@PacificViceroy bruh THAT is what he/she is talking about. Read the comment properly.
hmmm thats a tricky question. Vader regrets being a sith (mentioned somewhere), if padmé was alive and gave him the same choice to runaway again. He would take it I think
Vader and Anakin are the same person.
Pretty much, force choking Padmé is to show how far into the Dark Side Vader was at that point because if he was in his right mind, Anakin would have never dreamed of hurting Padmé because she is the love of his life.
The look in padme eyes at the end made her realize anakin was right along about clovis
Exactly and she’s feeling guilty and remorseful for not listening to her husband before.
You know, Anakin may have force choked Padme but at least he didn't use her as a hostage. Seriously, what the hell Clovis? I thought you loved her. Anakin wasn't thinking straight so that's pretty much his excuse but you were completely sane.

I really can't see what Padme ever saw in Clovis. He was such a smarmy shit, always concerned with elevating his station in the galaxy with the most transparent mask of fake altruism. Quiet frankly, this series' attempt to flesh out Padme's character only made her appear more naive and incompetent, getting suckered by those who are clearly evil or self-interested.
