🦎Lizard meet Dominos 🍕😆
that more than our "gourmet" pizza places out here!
all they did is take a large and over stretch it... then added regular if not less toppings... total rip-off
El garnachas británico
i work at Dominos, i’ll give a little more info here -
originally the “Brooklyn Style” pizza came with giant pepperonis and giant sausage, and eventually they phased out the giant toppings, and the Brooklyn Style just became a crust option, like Thin or Hand Tossed
a Large Brooklyn was made with a Small dough ball, and the XL was made with a Medium dough ball, the only change made for the NY Style, is for a Large we use a Medium dough ball, and for an XL we use a Large dough ball
don’t ask me why, i don’t work for the marketing team, but it’s a stupid idea to change the Brooklyn Style like that
I miss the giant topping Brooklyn pizza when it first came out, the whole pizza tasted sooooo good. I really miss those😢
The brooklyn also got provolone cheese along with the Mozzarella
If they’re still struggling to stay under 18 dollars even after abandoned all the toppings that made it special than I can’t imagine how much they would’ve charged if it was made right
I also work at domino’s and you’re right.
My local Dominos doesn’t offer XL. Why???

NGL that tie is one of the best ties I've ever seen in my life. Love it Reviewbrah
Exquisite
It's holding down his foreskin.
I love that shade of green
I just thought the same thing
that is a pretty damn good tie.
$18 for ANY fast/fast-casual pizza is criminal
Elections have consequences.
Food apps will save your wallet. Online cupons through the app and rewards help.
If you pay menu price for pizza your a chump.
@@drphillshoe reading that just makes me sad on so many levels
Uh-huh. Good thing you're holding the line. Phew!
It's odd that the box states: "RECYCLE THIS PIZZA BOX". Typically, grease or oil stained cardboard fast food containers are not accepted for recycling.
It can go in organics my man.
corect. you cannot recycle ANY pizza boxes for this reason
you're right, it's just BS, like most recycling is.

Dirty little secret, recycled garbage and regular garbage end up in the same dump in the end.

I enjoy them myself. Anytime one crosses my path or looks at me or head bobs at me while im walking by I just stop and look and smile. I sorta think they are like little mystical creatures here to be funny and spread a little joy. I love our little Anoles.
I used to work at Dominos. They had the Brooklyn style pizza back in 2010. There are 3 things that made it different than the original crust pizzas:
1. They use a medium dough and stretch it out to the size of an xl
2. They don't season the crust (the seasoned crusts is the only reason I will still order from Dominos)
3. They cut fewer pieces so the slices are bigger
You get less and pay more for the pleasure.
I always thought it was a scam.
Yep still a scam to this day
A man of class and integrity.
When it comes to food reviews...
I SIMPLY TRUST NO ONE ELSE !!!!!
i loooove when you film outside! i love hearing all of those birds in the background
The wave and “Good to see you.” made me so happy 😂🤣
Domino's had the "Brooklyn Pizza", which I pretty much get every time I order. Not a "New York style" zaa.
I get the Brooklyn style every time I order Domino's. Literally it is NY style
That's the confusing thing is Brooklyn is a section of New York. So, what, is this a combined 5 boroughs of pizza style??
The general style of Domino's is already "NY style" as opposed to like Deep Dish, so like what even is this??? I assume they're basically renaming the Brooklyn style as if people in distant states don't know that it's apart of NY
10 years ago it was amaze in canada, but about 3-4 years ago they changed the ingredients or something, its trash i couldnt even eat it threw it away, dominos has gone downhill, both canada and europe i travel alot and both regions its a disaster now
I used to work at Domino's about 10 years ago, and I had the same thought. Did they get rid of the Brooklyn style pizza? There is no reason for this.
I assume they just want to capitalize on marketing and have a reason to raise prices.
@@PyroWolfofEarth yes I went on the website and checked and Brooklyn style isn't listed at all, and it's just Ny Style now
The vibrant green tie looks great
Fun fact. The xl new york style at domino's is a large dough curcle stretched out. So you're getting the exact same amount of product for the illusion of more product.
Edit: forgot there was a difference between brooklyn and new york, abd may have forgotten what dough size a brooklyn is. It's been a while since i worked there.
But if it's stretched out, it will have more surface area, to hold marginally more cheese, sauce, and toppings. Only the dought/crust will be thinner.
@@tinglelovesyou4296 a disclaimer: I'd confused this with their brooklyn style pizza, which is different.
the Brooklyn style is a medium stretched to an extra large which is a much better crust in my opinion.
@@maralangley8806 The new york pizza is replacing the brooklyn pizza. Brooklyn were a small stretch to a large. now a new york will be a medium stretched to a large. So its not quite as thin, thats the only difference. Imo the new york is better, it was too thin before.
Brooklyn was replaced by the New York pizza. It is the same thing except an XL is made with a large and the Brooklyn was a medium. Now you can get a medium New York pizza that works with the mix-and-match deal, which is made from a small dough. The Brooklyn was too thin!
Hello Revew Brah from Scotland! Always enjoy your content and words of wisdom.
how common are american fast food restaurants in scotland?
@litapd311 all the main ones are here, but we've got loads of individual takeaway options, which are usually better.
We got a Taco bell here recently but it's pretty bad compared to what it offers in the US.
Pizza Hut offered a similar New York style here too and it was worse quality and more expensive than their usual crusts.
And yeah, this is just another random Scot replying to your question 😅
@@litapd311 We have few spread around all of the UK, And all are overpriced rubbish! But I guess that's subjective because millions eat at MacDonalds for example lol (food is trash and tiny portions). Dominoes in particular are proper robbing bas*tards! and the pizzas are subpar.
Och, that's braw!
Are you from Glasgow? If so, Celtic or Rangers!?!?!
Dominos GM here... First off, use coupons to get the price down. You can order a large 3 topping for $12. You can also order a large 1 topping for $8. It's also on the mix and match.
Next, it's different from the Brooklyn because its slightly thicker and comes in medium, and has a defined crust/rim.
Its a slightly thinner pizza cut into 6 pieces, doesn't get garlic oil on the crust and has provolone on it.
Dominos plays too many games, and ordering online is an unpleasant experience
Okay, this being part of the mix & match (at reg. price of mix & match, not boosted like pan) is actually a great call out. I have always been a fan of the Brooklyn, but it was never in medium, this being in medium, makes it not only fit the mix & match, but also the 60-pt redemption, that's actually not bad. Worth trading what the Brooklyn was for it? I'll give it a shot at least, sounds like a good in-between hand-tossed and thin. Esp. with that REAL Mozzarella.
Thanks for the information!
@@Mike1614bdo you use the app?
I really wish there was an option for mozzarella only, instead of provolone or the default cheese blend.
The way he waved to the lizard made me smile. Review Brah seems like a genuinely cool dude. We need more of that in the world. (Edit): I'm also craving pizza now.
Same here. Agree, he is awesome!

18 dollars. For a pepperoni pizza. Absurd.
its the 100% cheese
Yeah shits getting stupid. Thanks Trump!
That's absolutely insane. In Europe, you can get TWO WHOLE genuine italian pizzas from proper italian restaurants for that price.

Who the hell spends $18 on a Dominos pizza!?! They are $7-8 pizzas at most.
Wait till you see westside pizzas menu💀
In the UK a large Dominos pizza averages £25 ($31), $18 is a dream for me lmao
I ordered one last night and I got it for $9.99. Upgrades the 7.99 Carry out to the XL for $2
Hell nah u could get 2 boxes of pizza with that price.
@@TheDustyForest I know right, it cost like 25 euro here in the Netherlands for a similar pizza.

That’s a sick tie man, keep us the good reviews! always a highlight of my day
It's basically the only thing I get anymore. New York style with extra tomato sauce. It's simply *chef's kiss*. Just got to be sure to run their coupon that drops the price by like 5 bucks.
The last time I ordered from Domino's, the BOX weighed more than the pizza! Haven't been back there since.
That tie is amazing
We love outdoor reviews! The appearance and sounds of the regional fauna makes ReviewBrah smile!!!❤
calling that new york syle is hilarious. The crust, especially the outside, is about 3 times too thick.
Simple rule of thumb: outside of NY, any pizza / pizza shop with New York in the name will be worse than other pizzas in the same area. Its not always true, but it is true at least 90% of the time.
As soon as he held it up, you can see it's not foldable.
@@craftkiller9627I’m from the Bronx and went to Pensacola FL. Had this place called papas pizza downtown and tried their NY pepperoni pizza and it was actually really good

Always good to see reviews from the solarium.
I actually bought this pizza and having grown up in the northeast I actually enjoyed it. Normally I go to local pie places because the quality is normally better. This pizza actually was as good as advertised. I was skeptical about it going in, but I was pleasantly surprised.
I love the mid bite convos. Fits into the vibe of the show perfectly
I love the green tie,
Here in Central Mass., Domino's Large New York Style w/3 toppings is only $10.99 w/online coupon.
I pay $18 for a fully loaded pizza from a local shop made with fresh hand made dough and real cheese, with more than just pepperoni!
Yeah, me too, and you get 8 big slices instead of 6. If Domino's has 100% real cheese, I'm pretty sure the local pizza shop has 175% real cheese. That's a no brainer. Plus a large Domino's pizza is like a small pizza from the real pizza place, which is only like $10 anyway.
Nice man you are truly living a better life than others
The casual wave to the lizard had me laughing really hard
He should have fed it the pizza
Congrats?

$18? My kids love the Brooklyn style from Domino’s so that’s what I always get, every Thursday. $7.99 + $2 to make an XL, costs me $10.99 w/ tax in the Chicagoland area for a 1 topping. They are advertising the large NY style as a 3 topping for $10.99 here, $18 is crazy.
My friends, as I'm fairly early to a new The Report of the Week video, I will share this with anyone who may be interested: for the perfect Domino's pizza, order it with crispy thin crust and extra sauce. It's the best large franchise budget pizza you can find, and it's a go-to for my family when we want pizza delivered fast and cheap. If you use this advice, please come back and leave a comment and let me know if you liked it 🙂
Where I live, Texas, I can get one for less than $12 after taxes. The "nothing special" is what I like about it. I don't like all the seasoned crust and stuff like that, I like being able to buy and eat a simple well made pizza. Aside from my disagreements, I did like the video.
I like outdoor reviews!! They just feel right!
18 dollars is EMBARRASSING for a pizza price today. You can get three to four times that from a grocery store. Are there people who actually order full price pizzas from places like Domino's?
There are still people buying crumbl cookies so I’m sure there are people paying menu price for dominos.
believe it or not, Yes they do.. i work at Dominos and just last week somebody ordered an XL “NY” Style with about 12 toppings on it, and ended up being like $40 for one pizza
If u want get quality for pizza u gotta pay that price if u want cheap u keep cheap taste get what u pay for
@@user-hb6vn9ym6eit's papa johns. It's not bad but come on man. You can find really nice oven pizzas for half this price
The app has a lot of online cupons. And they have a rewards program. I usually get 2 large pizzas for a total of $18 they also have a deal for 2 med with the parm bites and the cinnamon twists, all for $20. We live in 2024 if yoire not using food apps for chains, you're hurting yourself.
Dominos: "I HAVE AN IDEA!💡 Let's make a New York styled pizza, which is really just a thin crust pepperoni pizza (that can come as an xlarge) for the price of $18!"
Dominos is very calculated in what they do. I was a driver for 2 years. The technology they use was ahead of its time in 2012-14.
The dominos near me doesn't charge extra for the new York style
I noticed Papa Johns does this too. I ordered a "New York Style" pizza from them and the picture made it look like it would be thin and the toppings would go all the way to the edge of the crust, but the actual product looked exactly the same as a regular extra large pepperoni pizza...
esactly
Thank you :). This inspired me and made me feel a lot better! It also made me want to go get pizza so badly!!
They thought that they pulled a fast one changing the name of the Brooklyn style to New York thinking it would make people think it’s something new
yeah i work there, the pizza is only a bit different aside from no garlic crust only because they also put provolone cheese on it. but other wise its the same pizza just stretched thinner.
They have it under $7.99 deal on the app.
bro your honesty is much appreciated in this day and age we live in. cheers!
Review brah, in the conservatory, with the green tie
Great suit today Reviewbrah, thanks for the video
great review & beautiful tie, love the color!
having worked for domino's through school, I'd guess its just a large dough ball slapped out into an extra large size to make it thinner.
I trust these reviews with my life. Thanks for your service review Brah
I think this is my favorite tie he owns
Domino's $6.99 menu is the best deal you can find these days
I find it’s very cost effective. Slightly more costly than little Caesar’s but my taste buds enjoy dominos more than enough to justify it
Lil Cesar's hot n ready is the goat for cheap pizza
Remember when it was $4.99? Those were the days 😔
thats the only one i’ve used from dominos for the past 3 years
One of my local places has $7 pizza and its 5000x better than dominos could ever dream of being
Thanks for the heads-up on this reviewbrah.

“A New York pizza that comes with a New York price.” I lost it 😂 u still got it my man impeccable review ❤
13:23 hello, lizard 🦎
Speaking as a New Yorker, I'm willing to bet anything this tastes NOTHING like a real New York pizza. That's my review and I'm sticking to it 😂
Great review and great tie, Sir. Keep up the great work
They have a national coupon for a 3 topping New York style for $10.99. There is absolutely no reason to pay $18 for this pizza. I wouldn’t bother with the extra large, although that’s the best way to get the real New York style that you can fold.
Yeah I don’t know what he is on about what happened to the Brooklyn style is this just the same thing rebranded
I guess that’s just a marketing ploy. Rebrand it and raise the price. Thank you Reviewbrah!
I remember when Dominoes was the first major chain that delivered pizza. It was delicious, greasy, cheesy goodness. Today it just seems dry and more about the crust.
Back when I was young it was so delicious but now It taste a bit similar but it's different and I get the taste of very processed like it doesn't taste fresh/real. That's why I like Papa Johns even though the sauce is sweeter I like it better it just taste fresh and real
For the record the deals that dominos offers allow them to charge higher amounts for people who don't think to ask or order online. Also a correction the NY styles have more crust than the Brooklyn did as they use more initial dough. You can probably ask for garlic as well as I do that for the ones I make for myself at work
I ACTUALLY ASKED FOR THIS YESTERDAY, YOU LISTED TO ME!!!
Looking particularly sharp today sir.
Imagine how amazing it would be if Reviewbrah was cast as the next Doctor Who
It would be quite amusing, however, judging from my current experience up to season 8, I think he might be a little too well put together to be The Doctor.
I could see this working, but I really wanna see the fantastic beasts guy to be the doctor someday
Seconded
current AM in training, NY is just a brooklyn rebrand, but its now small->med,med->large, and large->xlarge (prev: small->large,med->xlarge), so its just thicker but still cut in 6 slices, ive stretched plenty medium NYs at this point let me tell you bro
Great review brah look forward to more great reviews
Domino's had a Brooklyn Pizza, and it wasn't on the menu. Somebody told me about it, and it was really good. Why it wasn't listed anywhere on a menu, boggles my mind. Being from NY, I'm always on the hunt for a good NY pizza. I no longer live there, my job moved, and I moved with the job. Dipping sauce, I never heard of dipping pizza in a sauce living in NY. Things change , I realize that, but to me that was so strange why you would even need a sauce when pizza is pretty flavorful by itself, and we love thin crust also. I don't like paying for a dough ball. Everything is personal taste, so it's really hard to judge for other people what they'd like. We're all different, thank goodness...lol. I did try dipping sauce, not bad at all. A new taste for me. I don't knock anything until I've tried it.
Every dominos is different, some advertized it. The New York is basically the same thing as the Brooklyn, just very slightly thicker than the brooklyn was.
He literally eats and sleeps this review life 😎
I like the Batwing collar! (Where did you find one)? great pizza review.

I can't even remember the last time I had Domino's, but I recall it being extremely mid.
What the hell is "extremely mid" supposed to mean, exactly?
@@ZurigaSungamadepends how they mean it. To me when I say mid I mean eh it’s okay.
@@hardwire1013 how could something possibly be "extremely okay?"
I work at dominos and let me tell you half the time I don’t even want to spend half the money on it. Sometimes I’ll ask my manager to discount it again so I’m only paying like $3.64 for the crap instead of closer to $20
lol you did a video on not tipping. Throw the NY style in their face next time
Well, maybe in all sincerely, you shouldve bought some stock in the company you work for.....DPZ ticker symbol in past 6 months Up 37%.....similar to red bulls "energy drink" for 2.89$ for 80 mg. Of caffeine when an Excedrin migraine capsule (60 mg caffeine) is 15¢ per capsule.
The marketing of POOR products brings in millions of $ when most consumers don't question the backs to find instead to save $....two Excedrin crushed into another soda or any other preferred carbonated drink is approx. $.80 & Domino's is similar, handmade pan ALL day long withe extra robust sauce or extra garlic Parmesan sauce as the base with extra cheese. 👌🤗🌞.

@@mattgaebel7341 are you on crack or something gang?
in college I worked at a pizza place and would never eat their pizza- I was sick of seeing it and smelling it. we'd trade food with other restaurants
My Dominoes has had 16" Brooklyn style pizza consistently for years.
The store has official signs and pictures to promote it, so maybe it's regional to the Midwest.
It's a good contrast when getting two pizzas on their frequent sales, like 2 pizzas with three toppings BOGO, to get one Brooklyn along with a pan for variety.
The thin crust allows the toppings to shine a bit more, imo, and although an illusion, opening up a huge box with 6 giant sluces is satisfying.
But not $18, ever, only on sale or bought with points.
Very insightful review mate
So they took their Brooklyn style pizza, renamed it the New York style pizza and re-released it?
That appears to be the case, yes.
basically yeah, all they did was slightly thicken the crust 😂
Somebody get this man a bow tie already
What a nice tie

Gotta love the greenwashing directive on the top of the box: Recycle this box! Yeah, right, just _try_ to recycle cardboard that has grease stains all over it! But people see that printed on the lid and they think, Oh, what an earth-friendly company!
You can still recycle that.
They recycle paper with writing all over it. They also recycle bottles with some liquid left in it. That's not ruined either, now is it? Why is it different for cardboard with grease on it?
At least try to think for a sec before you try to make a point.
@@dongltron Try to think? Has it occurred to you that perhaps grease and ink affect the recycling process differently? First, no local recycling program I have ever seen accepts greasy pizza boxes. If you've read many of the comments you will see many other people reporting that. And second, every recycling program I have ever seen may recycle bottles with some water still in them from washing/rinsing, but none has ever accepted bottles with any product still in them, if that is the liquid you are referring to. Items contaminated like this in a load commonly result in the entire load being sent to landfill rather than picked through for recycling. Sending items like this to your recycling center actually reduces the amount of recycling that will happen, and is a waste of your effort. If you care, don't put dirty, greasy items in your recycling bin. For some bonus information, let's move on to plastics: #1 and 2 plastics are easily and commonly recyclable and most municipal recycling programs accept them. # 3-7 still are a huge challenge to recycle and almost
no one does, even though we were brainwashed by the petroleum industry for
years to believe they had this issue attended to and cheery new plastic products were being coaxed out of all kinds of plastic every single day. Some of my husband's medication comes in unrecyclable pill bottles in the #3-7 range. And the pharmacy label, like some pizza boxes, exhorts the consumer to "please recycle this container." Some of these places don't know any better, some of them do and are just greenwashing, but the bottom line is, if it isn't acceptable to the people collecting items or the people who buy them to recycle, then it's going in landfill.
I know you said don't drop everything to go get it, but this is precisely what I'm going to do. 6/10 reviews have always been the sweet spot for me.
If you don't add extra sauce for Dominos Pizza when ordering you are doing it wrong. Easily done online or in app and doesn't cost anything. Their sauce is their best ingredient imo.
This man is dapper.

I was very puzzled by this announcement, since Domino's already offers Brooklyn style pizza.
It took place of the Brooklyn style
@averyaman431 lol I ordered an XL like a week ago. Did not even notice the name change (BK to NY). Just the $12 deal. It was wayyyyy too thick and fluffy. I was expecting a skinnier crust. I thought it was just an off night for the cook lol. Pretty disappointing because under special instructions i always asked for well-done and extra sauce. My chain always listened. BROOKLYN style was my favorite of theirs. Now I have no reason to go back.
I used to work at Dominos back when they first released the BK Pizza. Fun fact, all it is, is a medium sized dough stretched to a large sized cooking screen. So a bit less doughy than their normal pizza.
I worked as a driver at dominos for a few years. We would make them for ourselves all the time since we never rang them up, but I was always surprised when customer would want an xl deluxe with extra cheese and someone would happily ring them up for close to a $25 dominos pizza.
