Can I import my website from an online host to my new local site, play around with it, make changes, and then put it back up on the host site for everyone to see?

thank you sir i want to know one thing are your available on whatsapp or any other's social media platform , and last problem when i create out website on local host watching your second chatpter so my question is when i go to the file where i need to copy the website file for imorting new webiste on xamp server , look this matter my local file main previce site name is newwebsite i found that folder but inside of the wolder i can't able to find out your time of folder which is important to create new site after importing on xamp..
i am unable to do that this work can you solve the problem for me how to import local file inside of the xamp server
