    Great video :) Tessa wow! She's gotten so big. Jesse too. Such impressive animals. Really enjoyed watching. Arya has grown so much since I've had her, but still tiny compared to Jesse :)

    • @Gottalovecarpetpythons
      @Gottalovecarpetpythons  5 лет назад +1

      Jesse l think is just a big boof but he will slow down and Arya will keep on having her growth spurts Joe. She has grown heaps from that first video l saw of her, late bloomer LOL. The main thing is she is now so much more in tune with you and for me that is outstanding, she has come along way and will continue to grow to be like my Lily is, always ready to have time with you.

      She sure did Trent and l am amazed at how big she became. Still groving of course but slowing down alittle now. It is never a sure thing as to how big they will grow, parents size do play a big part and gives you something to go by. Often people feel that you have over fed them, but this is not always the case. Pythons here are also alot bigger then those in the states of other countries as well, due to the genetics not being as strong as ours. Lots of factors to take into consideration.
      Happy to hear you are enjoying the videos and really appreciate your support.

      Tessa is over 10 ft and last weigh in at 5.5kilo
      She eats 2 week old chicks x 2
      Or 2 large rats
      I prefer 2 smaller then jumbo
      The bigger the rat the more fat
      I feed her chicks more so then rats

      @Gottalovecarpetpythons yer I've just put my 2.5yo imbricatas on a feed monthly now of medium Rat, and will do so for next 4 or 5 months. Then take them back to three weekly.. don't want them to get too chunky..
      Picked up a Kimberley region Darwin Carpet, she is 6 months old now and hasn't eaten a fuzzy mouse for 4 weeks.. so off to get some pinky mice and rats to try..
      Good to hear from you, hope all things are well in the Van life 🙂

    Awe the lovely Jesse ❤️❤️❤️ wow I didn’t realize how much he’s grown either wow 😮 awe so good and pleasing to see animals taken care of so well. As they deserve of course there’s so many out there that get mistreated and don’t have the love and wonderful life as your snakes and others have. I so wish I could take all those that do not have that in and just be able to take care of them all ♥️♥️🤗

    • @Gottalovecarpetpythons
      @Gottalovecarpetpythons  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you and l know if l had a bigger home l would be doing that, l wouldnt have a life bar taking care of animals of any kind but hey sometimes l just think l would prefer that at times LOL. So many are mistreated especially snakes as l think alot just see that they dont have any feelings of some kind and if a snake dies no big deal but if it is a dog or a cat for them it is so much more and yet it isnt, well that is how l feel about it and still hurts that l lost Lacy.

    Wow, I can't believe the growth in one year. How often do you feed them?

    • @Gottalovecarpetpythons
      @Gottalovecarpetpythons  6 лет назад

      On average for Tessa right now she gets a medium rat every 10 days and Jesse gets a large rat about 10 to 14 days as well but sometimes Jesse needs the 10 day routine. They tend to tell me when they are hungry and more often then not that is how l feed them and not always on a schedule of week two weeks and so on.

  • @smarcus419
    @smarcus419 4 года назад

    • @Gottalovecarpetpythons
      @Gottalovecarpetpythons  6 лет назад

      Tessa is a big girl and will be over 2 metres eventually. It is always hard to know exactly what size they will get but they say 7 to 8 foot, well my Tessa is almost at the 7 already LOL. No they are not the biggest of the species but Tessa will probably be one of my biggest when it comes to lenght l imagine.

      yes, i love bredlis. im saving up for another snake, but i just dont know what to get! lol maybe a bredli, but i also saw a nice hypo het albino zebra

    • @Gottalovecarpetpythons
      @Gottalovecarpetpythons  6 лет назад

      @@Mdvapor Guess it depends on whether you are looking at future breeding plans or that you just love that species of python. l just love the heads on the Bredli's alittle to the others but similar to a rough scales really.

    • @Mdvapor
      @Mdvapor 6 лет назад +1

      yes i agree, that one thing i like about all carpets in general, they have very big heads compared to other pythons. also, thats the thing, i do want to do breeding, but i also want to own different animals and have them as pets, and i think i would like to lean to that side a bit more, and do a bit of breeding here and there

    • @Gottalovecarpetpythons
      @Gottalovecarpetpythons  6 лет назад

      Yep why not l think it is a good idea to get into the breeding at some stage but just remember they are your pets first and then the breeder and alittle love to them makes them happy breeding snakes.

    • @Gottalovecarpetpythons
      @Gottalovecarpetpythons  6 лет назад +1

      Frozen Mason never fed them live feeders even as little ones and find they are happy to take them. Carpets though even as little ones like something with some fur on them so the ones that wont take a pinky are happy to take a fuzzie rat instead.

    • @Gottalovecarpetpythons
      @Gottalovecarpetpythons  6 лет назад

      That is l guess what l was saying in the video you never know what size they will be and all l know is Tessa is growing fast on me and everytime l look around she seems bigger then the day before LOL

    • @Mdvapor
      @Mdvapor 6 лет назад

      haha yes

    • @Mdvapor
      @Mdvapor 6 лет назад +1

      despite what i said about theyre parents, they barley got taken out, and had only one big stick and a hide in their cage- which for the mum was half her length. the dad just only ever stayed in his hide, u never saw him except a glint of fluro yello and brown, which was beautiful. sadly he passed away this breeding season, so my uncle got a replacement albino to breed with the mum.

  • @DakotaandFamily
