      it's both rank 4 is locked behind the "Liked" level of chemistry for each member iirc and once you get to a chemistry score high enough to get to the next rank you are locked out of ranking up until you've ranked up the syndicate

I got the Hex to rank 5 in a way shorter timespan than most other syndicates just fine, 5 minutes is all it takes to do the daily chats as well so it's not like you're wasting a lot of time, hell I didn't even know you needed to reach Liked level for higher ranks at all, I just did it.

    as someone who is sorta returning from destiny, to me it doesn’t really feel rushed, if it was we would’ve gotten the kuva system with a bug that prevented players from getting any of the weapons.
    for me whos interested in the story at least a little bit, its nice to see stuff like Arthur’s and Quincy’s backstory, and even the drifters to some extent. ill try not to get too into details because spoilers, but with one of the dialogue options with Quincy, it went into the direction of eternalism surprisingly and gave drifters backstory a more personalized feeling that i love.
    its not for everyone i know, but for me, the texting stuff really felt like the meat and bones of 1999. hopefully this kuva thing can satisfy the gameplay side of things though.

      Fr I felt the same after playing Destiny this update might notve been the hit the vets needed but getting to add a personalized, albeit limited, chat options to flesh out the drifter felt rad asf. Specially because afaik you can't go down other chat routes so each persons interaction with their "Hex" will be different.

      i think Destiny traumatized us because first playing warframe and learning that the movement system was a bug that DE decided to turn into a gameplay mechanic was complete whiplash from Bungie, who recently after realizing they messed up the pricing on the Dawning event card and accidentally gave it away for free, fixed the card and told everybody who missed out that they still had to pay for it

    one of my friends who only played warframe for the main quests told me since whispers in the wall and 1999 he finally feel to do something in the game and not just the quests and he really enjoyed the fact that we need to know the Hex before the true ending. So I guess the update did great for my friend and I personally like it too

    I agree with what you said about expecting more…but it’s just the same thing we get every year and will be forgotten next year with a new syndicate, which is sad because I wish we could expand on this

      it's way to lazy that they just slapped a new syndicate every major update recently. Then forgot to not add anything new to that syndicate which made them irrelevance to the loop once we get the things we need from them. It feels lazy.

    Alright, I agree with pretty much all you mentioned the update brought - the new mods, the new assassination, the flippin' Acuity mods and Cyte being great, too, as well as the story.
    I like The Hex, I really liked them in the quest, but.. I just wish we got something better for the "good" ending rather than us giving some of them a pep talk (in Quincy's case I think it can be argued that he *didn't* know about his abilitiies, unlike the others).
    Eleanor can be argued as us reinforcing her mentally to not give in to the techrot, but can someone please tell me how telling Aoi that "she can do this" lets her do the same thing that killed her the first time like it's nothing? Didn't she say she *couldn't* and literally have her brain pop so hard her left eye almost popped out, too?
    With Amir - I dunno, he had some respiratory problems, I think? I liked how we gave him the Parazon to hack the console, it was a nice solution.
    As for Arthur - we basically puppet his irradiated corpse a bit from the generator so that Lettie can probably use Blessing or something to heal him, I guess.
    Another problem is - how was any of that related to us getting to know them better exactly? How did us knowing them let us prevent their deaths exactly?
    Last, but not least - it felt so dang *short,* I certainly hope the Hex will keep playinga big role in the story to come, I also hope that somehow Rusalka will be brought back into the story, considering she wasn't confirmed dead, but rather that she "vanished", according to Viktor. We'll see how things go with the Infested Liches part of the update, hopefully soon.

      also, if the Loop where we sabe the Hex was/is a 1 year loop, that's 1 year of preparation... why did the drifter let they even start the same failed mission as the failed loops? It could be a completely different mission, instead just these "pep talk" moments, sure it was really cool to see "how it's actually working this time", but whenever I think in retrospect it feels dumb

      @@tonyoliver2684 Right? If the whole problem was that they rushed the mission the first time due to time limitations, the second time Drifter could go "Ok guys, the reactor will go critical on new year's, let's prep to shut that shit down immediately instead of going in last minute, okay?"
      We're already fucking with time and space so us giving them a head start shouldn't really end the timeline lol

      The way I interpret the Aoi thing is, we showed her how to use her powers effectively. Earlier in the mission she can't even get the truck of off her (and you can see that she is using her magnetic powers trying to lift it) and mentions that she's still not used to her abilities.

      With Aoi we help her by showing how to better use her powers. So instead of just pulling against the arms and overexerting herself till her brain pops she breaks the lil metal arms pulling the rods away by pulling upwards before resuming her initial pull inwards. So she accomplished her objective with considerably less effort which means no brain pop

    a) Aoi straight shoots down the notion of the protos knowing about their abilities with her stating pre-truck fight "still new to this". The protos aren't the frames proper that know all the tricks of the trade, they're still rookies about the powers; while the Drifter has seen the full-powered versions of them as well as being a conduit for the Void to strengthen their abilities.
    b) Yes, a story that involves having people letting you into their minds to potentially control their bodies is fully justified in putting in place a system where you bond with said people to justify them doing that. Romance is optional but the core system, the bond is not because that's the story itself. No different to Persona games with their social link system, which also isn't inherently romantic.
    c) How dare they give a reason to care about the characters and world? ffs I'm more invested in 1999, BECAUSE of this system than any other syndicate, hell characters in general (other than Lotus). Sorry not sorry that the game is continuing its evolution from simplistic looter-shooter to ARPG w/ a deep story including characters. The only ones I've seen bitching about this are anti-social incels that can't interact with people, while everyone else is enjoying themselves and the characters.
    d) While engaging with said social system there's a TON of lore (for 1999, for Duviri, for the OG world, for Drifter) given that is far more appealing than them shoving in another long ass log to read through.
    e) Yes, you are indeed wrong.

      Hi, "anti-social incel" here:
      A) Nothing to add here, you're right with this point.
      B) Yes, the social aspect is not exactly romantic (and mandatory for progression), and it's very fitting for the story's theme. The main issue I see with it is that it is so very easy to dismiss because you can just grind for points so you can max their affinity and move along, not really caring or interacting. What I'm trying to say is that the interactions we got are not exactly stellar and very limited, since they all depend on a visual novel minigame of sorts.
      C) Care about characters? Nah, don't have time for that on my looter shooter. I'll just max their points and get the stuff I want and then move along. /s
      The sad part about this is that in the end, these characters will be either a trophy in your base of operations, or a pretty skin (that you have to buy, mind you) for your Warframe (which you might not even like playing as). It's specially sad when you see one of them T-Posing when you transfer out, and still talking.
      D) Yes, this is a better way to give lore than just dumping it via endless logs, no complains here.
      E) You too are wrong, it's called preferences mate. To me this system is not bad, but it's not good either. I'll call it mediocre (because it's not bad, nor good) at the risk of angering people, because they could've given us more, like the chance of say... romancing Aoi, and her getting mad because you were downed on a mission, and jumping in to rescue her darling.
      Even something as simple as that would add way more interactions with them, but the sad part is that in the end, despite the story's message, apathy triumphs because we will get used to all these interactions over time, eventually getting bored and moving on to the next content... maybe not completely, but it will eventually be seen as yet another thing to do in Warframe.
      Edit: I also understand DE not diving into the romance and social interactions too much because the Warframe audience is too wide and varied, and there would be a risk of alienating a big chunk of players by making these things mandatory.

    I think needing to get to know the Hex for the finale is great way of getting the player to understand the character and story beats as they occur.
    When you understand the motivations and personalities behind the characters it lets you avoid the confusing mess that is Ballas in new war.
    "Since you had to do chats with the Hex, You know that Quincy is partially just looking for an excuse to die, and that's why he takes the tank shot at first, but the drifter gives them a new lease on life."
    Vs
    "what do you MEAAAAAN you didn't see Ballas smirking on Erra's leash for .5 seconds. Which CLEARLY indicates he's the mastermind behind ALL of this."

    If DE is gonna put an "aftermath of 1999" of sorts as an additional quest in the next update, it will maaaybe save the story for me. Otherwise, it's kind of lack luster - all of the build-up that the story had, was instantly lost, as we just repeated the same actions but with the Drifter's help. If we were to actually do some homework ahead of time, before we were breaching into the nuclear plant, it would've been at least more noticeble that we did something that mattered (e.g. going on a suicide mission with a greater chance of success). Instead, we're helping 6 mutated super-soldiers get their shit together in the name of love? Give me a break.

    The idea that I think could be pretty neat is making a "Best Friend" rank. Any member of the Hex can become a best friend and while they are, their Gemini skin would be free for you to use.
    -This system would give people the incentive to switch the characters and also they could try out the skins before buying them.
    Whenever you would want to switch the best friend you would have a big cooldown (like 2 days as an example) to be able to ask another member of the Hex.
    -This would be the equivalent of the Hex member being sad about no longer being the best friend.
    Overall to me, the update seems similar to Whispers in the Walls:
    - the missions are literally the same, with some different gamemodes, but they feel the same way
    - you have another f*cking Syndicate that you need to level up and get annoyed by the daily cap in doing so
    - New Arcanes that instantly become new Meta because god forbid DE made an "average" Arcane
    - the story isn't as all over-the-place as Whispers in the Walls, but the second half is just a bunch of clichés stuck together with a Band Aid, which I REALLY didn't like
    HOWEVER, there are also things that I do enjoy:
    - the weapons are pretty good this time compared to Whispers in the Walls (Ekhein is meh, Mandonel is shit without exploit abuse and the Grimoire is also meh - compare this to Reconifex, the Vesper or the AX)
    - the chemistry system, while needing to be forced because of the story, doesn't really take too much to do (usually around 5 minutes with all 6 members) and I do like it - it gives you something to cool down when you had enough of the action for once
    - romancing a Hex member is indeed optional, which I feel like is a nice addition that really isn't needed to progress in the update or the game

    I wanna mention quickly the weird bubble head scaldra you have a issue with have a weak point on their back being a small gas tank you can shoot it also fills the headshot incarnon meter

      not THAT disappointed so much, DE seemed to advertise a lot their Voice Actors, but in the end most interactions with the Hex are TEXT messages, or repeated chat when opening their menus in Hollvania or in Backroom. (I did love the texts though, they were funny as hell for me)

    To me, my biggest gripe is simply: FIVE HUNDRED EXIMUS
    I don't even feel bad about the standing grind, because they made the hex treasures easy to find, and the standing amounts they give are great. IMO it's the least grindy syndicate DE has ever made. The drops are great, and there's nothing in the update that's a slog to get. I personally like engaging with the characters via the text. As a bit of a lore junkie, it makes me happy to hear confirmation and more details on duviri, conceptual embodiment, transference, etc.
    I just hate overguard man....
    I do agree that the hex finale could have had some cooler twists, but the twists we got made sense. These are people who have had their powers for a very short time. They don't have a mentor, and they're experimenting as they go.
    The drifter on the other hand, has centuries of experience with using warframes, and knows the ins and outs of their powers. Take the scene where you save Aoi. She's trying to solve it with brute force, because that's what she expects will push the rods back in. The truck scene earlier proves that she doesn't know how to use her powers well. We give her encouragement and essentially let her flex muscles she hasn't used before. She says "oh... oh!" as if to say "oh, that's how that works!" That's my interpretation anyway.
    As for the chemistry system, it's a first for warframe. Not liking it is completely fine. That said... engaging with the chat system is not required at all. You could have done bounties and gifted things daily instead (though it would be a bit slower). It does shove the chat in your face, sure, but they didn't lie. It isn't required.
    Damage attenuation. It needs to be like a tenth as strong. Just enough to make the dudes take a few more shots, nothing crazy. Bullet sponges are never very fun for long.
    I overall disagree with the general opinions of this video, but I can understand a lot of the points you made.

    I mean the chatting is optional. You can just do the bounties and use the gifts to up their chemistry w/o ever talking to them. Granted it would take longer but you can. Plus its not like you have to actually date any of them.

    I usually respect people's criticisms and your content in general but you're blowing up nitpicks into the size of actual critique and that's just cringe. Being upset at the technicality of "optional" regarding the KIM chatting system not being letter-of-law strict (when they only said that there was no player power locked behind it, which is true) or the fact that the Hex are another syndicate - as if they advertised it as anything more than that, comes off ignorant at best and downright disingenuous and intentionally obtuse at worst. Also the new Capture mode is a great refresher of an otherwise old and boring gamemode, same with Survival. For someone like me who has played well over 1000 hours in survivals alone, any change is welcome to the most boring game modes we have on offer. As for Face/Off, if you didn't bother playing conclave until now and you won't play it anyway, does Face/Off being "dead" really matter?

      I showed the good and bad of the update. I tried to be genuine as possible with fair points on each.
      Capture mission has no rewards unless u like 5k hollars of extra vespar parts. Just play Apollo for axis relics its virtually the same mode.
      Survivals all your doing is hitting zits on an air supply it doesn't add anything else other then running around.
      Faceoff probably took a lot of their dev time and it being dead in a week is bad. This was suppose to revive conclave so yes it matters.
      We were promised more but got delayed and have probably been running behind because of soulframe needing help.
      Agree to disagree if you like those modes but saying I'm nitpicking and disingenuous is just not true when I am giving things they did right credit. But the things they did wrong and could of been better should also be right to criticize.

    I agree with you on the most part, kinda wish we got something like New War. Which while DE never stated that it was going to be anything as long or like New War, the hype they gave it made me think this quest would be longer and give more of a story. While the story was there and was more straightforward than New War, it was what 45-60 minutes WITH the ending? New War was like 3 hours with a new syndicate, new bounties, new weapons, etc.
    Long story short, I really hope that they expand on 1999’s world, and I hope the Technocyte Liches really do the update justice.

      The New War was the end of the first storyline that took from 2015 to 2021 to finish, it's pretty ridiculous to expect that kind of content when we've barely started a new chapter that's only really started to pick up in Whispers in the Wall

    I'd respectfully disagree about the story stuff. The Hex all died because of character flaws:
    - Eleanor succumbed to the techrot (which was established by Lettie worrying about her constantly),
    - Quincy is in the Hex because Arthur saved his life and now Quincy feels like he owes him. He literally gives up and quits before the showdown and comes back because of guilt. He doesn't want to dodge the tank because he did his job, he cleared the way for the others to the reactor, he feels like he's done with all of it.
    - Aoi is a people pleaser and has problems with self confidence, she feels like she can't pull the rods in even though she's trying her hardest, when all she needs to do is pull them slightly differently,
    - Arthur felt like he needed to deal with the techrot inside the reactor alone and so he left Aoi and Amir (which tbf he kinda needed to ngl lmao),
    - Amir is kinda obv, he couldn't slow down and had anxiety.
    All of them know they are in a dire situation whether they do anything or not, they know they are in a loop after all. The drifter using transference to give them support / confidence / direction is all that is needed because it's not about their abilities. Like you said: Quincy can do like 5 different things to get out of that spot, but he chooses not to.
    By far the worst part of the update is the damage attenuation. When they come back from break I hope they address that first cuz who could have possibly thought that was a good idea.
    Anyways, no hate just thought the ending was good that's all.

      For me, I do agree with shiro that I wish we had some kind of *gameplay* influence over the ending of 1999. Like we literally just tell aoi to believe in herself and she suddenly doesn't die from constipation? mf amir literally dying from having a panic attack drove me wild, you mean to tell me we just un-panic his attack and call it a day???????? dawg that shit had me furious, why don't you give me a hardcore hacking challenge and make it impossibly difficult, make it so that it doesn't work and it feels hopeless the first time around, and then IN GAMEPLAY make it so that the next time you do it you just run it with some cheaty ass parazon mods because that's what they're there for and--anyways quiny's little suicide shtick was also dumb, him being suicidal doesn't even line up with his horny ass personality either, like bro literally slings Weiner and that's 90% of his personality in the dating sim, but suddenly he's suicidal? Even though he's supposedly gathering supplies to take care of tons of people and lay pipe????? Huh??????       @@nev546 If you read Quincy's KIM messages he talks about being in the Hex only out of guilt because there was a situation in the military where Quincy didn't save someone but then Arthur saved him. He had a plan to quit and make a life for his family but chose to stay even though it was detrimental to him and his family, purely out of guilt. When we see him quit and come back he's doing the same thing, so when the job is done... who cares anymore. The drifter being there is enough. I personally like how it's a human story with real human emotions but to each their own i guess. If you want to just watch shit go boom you can just do that outside of the quests.

      It was rushed though, DE had to scrap the work they were doing on Coda and the boyband and save it for next year because they were so far behind schedule, they talked about it openly (and while not using the words) made it clear that they were really pushing 1999 to be out and in a playable state, even if it meant cutting some corners and rushing things out the door. The whole 1999 update is missing like an entire half to it, and if I'm being honest even with it's missing half shiro's complaints are still incredibly valid.

Do you know *when* they said they were saving coda for 2025? because they didn't announce it at tennocon, or after lotus eaters which was also rushed and had it's content cut. No they announced coda would be dropped right before the reveal at The Game Awards, because they wanted to announce 1999 DURING THE GAME AWARDS and they could NOT get it done in time if they kept working on Coda. Literally their very last devstream before ending out the year was "oh btw We'reScrappingTheCodaBecauseWeNeedToAnnounceThe1999UpdateAtTheEndOfTheYearOkBaiiiii"
      Rushed. They did not have time to finish and polish the update, they needed to get it shippable by TGA, so they did, they RUSHED to make it shippable, but cutting the update in half. literally. That's the QUINTESSENTIAL being rushed. How are you disagreeing with me over the literal fact that they rushed the update by cutting out half of the work? Are you awake? did you start replying while making a wrong turn down the interstate? It was rushed. That's how DE operates for literally every end of year update, it's been that way since before empyrean??? Wake up jimmy! Turn on the news any channel, they flew railjacks into the north update!     Well, i was pleasantly surprised by the update. The story was alright, my only problem was the " why ", why did we save the hex, why did we create the loop, i had the distinct impression that this update was going to be were we confronted the indifference once and for all but we kinda just... did the loop, and that was it... i didn't get to the kiss yet, so maybe there's going to be an explanation there.

    I wasn’t disappointed with most of 1999, cause I expected the update to feel incomplete. DE mentioned having to cut 1999 away from On-Lyne, so I didn’t mind.
    But I do agree with alot of the stuff you said, especially the gamemodes and the syndicate. The update was good but I feel like we keep getting a worse version of the same syndicate every time it shows up. It’s not just 1999, at this rate the entire game is just waiting for daily reset so you can grind. I wish we’d just get something else.
    I think the zariman system did syndicates the best, anyway.
    And yea the missions really aren’t all that special, either. I will say, I like the survival in concept, but shooting the pus sacks and messing up enemy spawns kinda ruins the fun.
    Also the second half of the story has me feeling mixed. I don’t have a full understanding so I won’t comment

    Honestly what I'm glad from this update is that I have more standing items beyond items that only grant 2k standing, AIN'T THAT RIGHT CAVIA? And I can appreciate how DE went far beyond with the relationship aspect even though others don't like it, if it were another company they would've used an AI for them. But the new mods? Eh... pass, only the magnetic mods do anything for me, unless you're using Banshee, Loki, or Cyte-09 which those mods are made around, the new mods don't do anything for me.

    3:00 I think you are, lmao. But wait, that's just 'cause that's what DE always do with these big updates with new "island of content": a new syndicate atached to it, which is typically left to rot whenever said syndicate cease to stall people from getting all the rewards they want from that island. It is kinda left out of the story, as that typically continues towards more new islands...
    Anyway, it's kinda sad this situation, my hope is that at least the story still continues in 1999 (or 2000) with the Hex still in play.
    As for the new missions, they did say it would be what we already know, just with twists, for the capture, I didn't engage much with it, for no rewards made me want to play it, but it seemed cool to play, for the survival, what a bother the life support self-destructing and spawning a damage sponge, kinda removes/decreases the chill element of survival game mode for me. The exterminate is just a adventageous side objective, which is cool, the general feeling though is why did they bother adding these as "twists"
    U could not chat with the Hex to progress though, just doing daily missions with them will rank up friend level passively, which goes back to that sad thing about syndicate stalling progress.
    Anyway, I couldn't have hoped you were right, but it would problably be cool if you were and we received something actually new (and good, preferably)

      Some good points. For me I was stuck at rank 3 because I never chatted and spammed whatever bounty that day gave the most standing so I didn't get much chemistry bonus doing other bountys, which other plays probably ran into as well not knowing you need to be "Friendly" with all the Hex members to do the quest to rank past rank 3 with the syndicate.
      When they said optional I did think that having to be friendly with them at all was gonna be only for extras. Locking me out of another cyte BP and the new arcanes were kinda rough.

      @ShiroNature I am someone who always (try to) read all patch notes and see devstreams, so I get a lot of info prior to actually playing the game, and something I note is that DE seems to not explain stuff too well in the actual game(play), I noticed that due to my clanmates being kinda lost in some stuff, or misunderstanding stuff, so it really feels DE got a habit of not being really clear with explaining important stuff. So I think I see you, mate, that is disappointing.
      Personally I'm past the syndicate stall, so I have nothing else to do and I will just take a vacation out of warframe until the liches drop :V , not much else to do, I guess

    They said the romance part would be optional, not the whole system. And syndicate type stuff is mainly a way to make money with time gating so people buy stuff it's a company they gotta do it clearly, and it's been working the past updates. And the coda being delayed absolutely sucks i was so exited to get my hands on the coda catabolyst plus without it the update dosnt feel any bigger than the zaraman or even fortunna. And reminding them of their abilities.. I mean, Aoi literally blew her own brains out trying to use them it's probably safe to say they don't have a perfect grap on it. To me it's a great fun update but wasn't the best update that still goes to the plains of eidolon release for me nothing brought me more into the comunity than logging on after school and seeing my favorite game add something completely an open world arcanes a boss battle that people could struggle with for like a month hopefully the echos update for 1999 has more than just the coda I think a fun addition would be new coda themed helminth abilities

    everybody is casual in warframe unless you're activelly making builds, and I mean actual new builds
    so it's fine to think the way you do
    I think the update is lackluster as well and am hoping the lich system will bring more to the table.
    overall it's an *ok* update, maybe it isn't as big as new war, but the delivery was at least better than the one in railjank

    Yeah I think you're absolutely right about the update feeling a little underwhelming... DE has sorta been doing this thing where they overhype to the point you expect this groundbreaking update and it's just another syndicate, some mods and arcanes and a new tileset
    Sorta the same shit different day :/ it was the exact same thing with the lotus eaters too- "cinematic quest" "connecting whisper in the walls to 1999" and it ended up being a 5 min quest half of which you follow a cat around
    The coda weapons not being available really did hurt the launch too, because it just felt like we really did miss alot of content
    Overall I liked the story of 1999 but sometimes the writing was a little brain-dead and if you compare it to something like the comics those are much more flushed out
    Also flirting with uwu girl Aoi has been a bit of a chore considering it's just another time gate to get to the good stuff
    Another example of Warframe not really respecting your own time :/
    All in all, you're right about 1999 being lackluster, and while the mods and arcanes are amazing, the overall update has left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth, considering what I thought it would be was another MASSIVE quest like the new war

    Honestly after the initial excitement wore off and I got the good ending with the finale i kinda burnt out on the new update in only 8 days, I returned from a 1 year break only to realize the non prime frames and weapons i have still left to farm are all behind syndicates, it's not fun farming over a week just to be able to start buying the blueprints that I then have to wait for a craft timer to finish. And I personally don't give a damn about the dating sim part, no hate to the system and those that enjoy it I'm happy for you but its dead content for me personally.
    At MR30 I get 31,000 standing per day, I need 100,000 standing to get the 3 new weapons and the 2 missing pieces of Cyte-09 which I'm just not motivated to get, and if I want to go for the others I don't have because I took a break I need Qorvex and Dante. I really wish DE could change *SOMETHING* about syndicates, but I doubt they will because it will drive people to buy plat to get the new shit that way.

    One major thing you forgot to mention is the resources that we gather in the 1999 missions other than a very tiny handful of them needed for crafting cider 9 or the couple new weapons there is absolutely no use for them. Can't even feed helminth with them. Same with other new mission types Duviri, Sanctum Cavia. Same not impressed with 1999 once you get all of the arcanes and the characters and the weapons no reason whatsoever to even go back whenever people are talking about they can't wait for the new game modes are so excited I remind them that orphix was also a new game mode now it's a graveyard. Narmar was a new faction oh boy basically just Grenier in a new costume same missions same BS just more lipstick on a pig

    On the topic of bugs, people like to say that 1999 didn't have any, but that's far from the truth. During my playthrough of the quest I was unable to ride my atomicycle and thus proceed with the missions, and had to restart to do it. Now if that was on the release day it wouldn't be as bad, they didn't get to patch all the bugs but here's the kicker: I played it much after the release.
    Not to mention constantly getting stuck in the loading screen once you ride your bike in public squads, and even if you play solo, enemies just refuse to appear and you cant continue the mission. The only way to get rid of these is just to quit and open the game again.
    In addition to having fallen a bit short, they still made it buggy, with the only good thing being they were slightly less buggy than Duviri and Angels of the Zariman.
    Though if I have to disagree with you on something, it's that the assassination mission is the best; it feels honestly repetitive. For starters, you have to kill a bunch of enemies, get the battery, hack the battery, kill the RPG big boys, get their RPG, shoot the wall, then repeat till the wall is destroyed, then repeat till another wall is destroyed. The second time feels just out of nowhere, but this is only criticising the mission, not the boss.
    The tank isn't bad, it just is like a Tusk Thumper on legs (literally), though I wouldn't hate it as much if it didn't have like FOUR invulnerability phases. Combined with how much you have to do just to get to it, this feels like a kick in the crotch. Especially with how you're gonna have to do it if you want to get more than 1 Arcane in a mission. At this point I might just repeat the Capture mission instead; it's far shorter.

    I will repeat it like a broken CD, but DE do not know what they want from thier game.
    I loved the plot... Until we reached the New War. I'm not mad about whole "war" part, but the Erra himself. Can we finally close his story before we're going somewhere else? I don't know. Give him a short quest, put him to rest and that's it. His forces may try to fight back like they do right now, but who the hell even care about this faction. Caliban is an evidence of it, because Noone played him since then.
    Lotus was shoved away and showed with her new iPhone ONCE.
    Hunhow just bailed out of everything because Stalker said "Wife gone, me sad."
    Teshin was just murdered without any respect, while NPC talk how he was like a father to us - kinda neat. I wish he have a proper GRAVE somewhere instead of a holographic projection seeping souvenirs.
    Modding weapons feel like a country sized marathon. Let's level this F.... 8 times because we can't have polarity anywhere. And two adapters. Oh, did you forgot about new mods which require F ton of endo? Tough luck because we're getting credit cashes...
    And my god the grind. I'm getting sick of it. 1% o 2% is just not OK when one rotation can take several minutes of your time and RNG may decide to hate you like it hates me for no reason.
    They just pile on system after system after system which leads to never ending basement of nothingness...

    For me it's a really good update, nothing is perfect but overall, the job is done. The Final section of the quest only feels wierd when we look at Quincy as he just use his abilities, for the others, we help Eleanor to control herself, Aoi to be confident on her abilities, Amir to slow down and Arthur to not sacrifice himself, the storytelling is better for those 4, but yeah for Quincy, it's a bit disappointing. The new gamemodes are okay, the Hell-Scrub is a good idea but need some tweaks : especially having to move really far away from our spot because the game decided to infect the furtherest Hell-Scrubber instead of the 50m one and spawning Babaus if all Hell-Scrubers are active. I mostly run Hell-Scrub with Khora and the infestation mostly bounce between 2 Hell-Scrubbers, if they are in the same room, it's okay. The Legacyte Harvest lacks of interest to play : not worth for Relics, nor the Weapons Parts, nor the Endo. Maybe the Legacyte will have some kind of interest with the Technocyte Coda (dropping the equivalent for Requiem Mods for example) but currently, it just lacks rewards. It's very similar for the Face-off, I've only played once or twice and don't feel the need to play it again. The Efervon Tank Assassination is good, great Boss, many difficulty layers (definitively better than The Fragmented One).
    The KIM System has really nice discussions, really sad that once you reach Best Friends / Loved, you have completed it. But the freaky discussions are a huge plus for me.
    If I compare it with Whispers in the Wall, it's very similar and it only get better with Dante Unbound, I suspect to have some tweaks in Echoes of 1999 and more content with the Technocyte Coda + a Dante Unbound-like update (if they are not in the same update).

    I have the opposite reaction with the dating sim. Why does its end when you reach besties/loved? You actually need to put in some effort to reach that status. I know its not practical to have it once a day from all 6, but like once weekly at least?
    I'm actually leaening a lot of the drifter lore from these conversations and loving it, like that one thing thats so dark!
    Also another message where i can say quincy can shove shove it, is a great day, he hot no game and didnt ask for his advice. Though nothing beats having this massive build up on him trying to get dirt on me and hitting [end]. Thats right buddy, cope, seeth, mald.

    My take on 1999, not counting the bug where you get stuck with no enemies in some missions:
    I really like the story. I like getting to know the people as individuals and I think that kind of system would have been great in Fortuna instead of everyone just trusting you together.
    I love the way that the weekly rewards aren't their own mission like everything else has been and instead are just tasks you can do while grinding standing or playing other missions.
    I wish people's protoframes wouldn't talk in the missions. I already don't like when my operator decides to talk in missions (especially saying that we should go on the offensive on defense missions...)
    I love that they are allowing a variety of playstyles with the new mods and arcanes. And making it possible to more easily have combined elements with mods is nice.
    The assassination mission has too many slowdowns. The parts where you are just waiting are most likely going to get changed later or people will avoid the mission.
    The legacyte missions are very good for farming credits if you get good at the chests and completing a single round quickly. Forgettable other than that. I feel like the survival will be similar. It's interesting, but not enough to be memorable long-term.
    Overall, it has a lot of good and a few things that are frustrating. It fits their usual model of time gating things and building around a faction reputation. The reputation items drop pretty often, so that's good for days that I don't do the actual bounties at least

    I dont think, for any of the syndicates, I've ever looked forward to grinding standing. One of the things i actually like in 1999 is that a lot of people are bringing the air support which marks valuable items on the map. With the maps being small enough that yiu can isually mark all of them in only a couple pings. Which means i dont habe to grind standing as much.

    I gave warframe a second shot at redemption because of 1999, now I have 300 hours and its by far the coolest and best update ive seen in gaming, the text conversations are really cool and very welcoming (the translation is top notch), the protoframe skins are crazy, hope to see more of them, the soundtrack is fire, the lore was fire, the new characters are fire everything is just sooooo good
    Im pretty sure 1999 got a lot of new players going because of it, I just wish DE revamped the new player experience so more players would reach 1999

    I like the new base of operations. I like the verticality of the tilesets, as well as the changing seasons and destructible elements. Also like the calendar system for getting rewards--like a second nightwave. New arcanes, gemini skins, weapons, Cyte-09, tank boss, love the quest. Honestly, besides wanting more, I can't think of anything I disliked with 1999.

    I totally get some of the points you made but I think the gripe you have with the 2nd half of the story comes from a place of misunderstanding the overall story, the reason we had to befriend the hex is so that we the drifter needed to build relationships so that we could offer them strength from our side so similar to how we the operator kind of tamed Excalibur umbra by building a bond. But I totally get where it can just seem we said a couple of cheesy lines and suddenly they’re fine where in reality we gave them a taste of their full potential with void energy it’s kinda on DE for not having a better way of showing. Tbf I could be wrong but that’s my understanding

    lore wise we ate in warframe and I love the hex but uh yeah its another content island. And this ain't too new. which is why I personally felt underwhelmed. The Holdfasts, cavia AND the Hex are written to be ghosts trapped in NPC limbo. and tbh its a meme now. but hey everyone is horny enough to or sadistic enough to participate as much or as little as they want I guess. Only in warframe I can be addicted to alien waifus, dust, and crystal. Things my parents warned me against as a child

    The problem with Warframe 1999, is the fact you do a bounty then other players join , last five minutes then extract, despite the HEX saying “I think you could have done more”.
    Is this what Veterans do join a bounty do the easiest task, then extract before it gets to difficult for them.

    I would like to see more story and lore. Like it feels so short and it didn’t answer any questions just raised more but it’s ok here 2 novels worth of texting that nobody asked for. Questions like how is the nuke gonna help albrecht get to tau, why, why now, where did he go? Wtf are we even doing here to begin with ? Why is this quest only a hour and some change. Plus I’m sick of bounties and standing bruh it’s so old now

    I came back to play this story after the jade pregnancy. And uh.. its certainly a story alright. The gameplay tho? I was honestly expecting more than one big survival mission. And dont get me started on those "boss fights" those bullet sponges died instantly from a few O spams. Maybe i just expected a different difficulty. (Elden ring ruined me)

    in my personal opinion, I love the faceoff mission, but I cannot be asked with the sheer amount of people who just rage quit even when you're IN THE LEAD or in a position to very easily take the lead. Like, I can solo these objectives easy peasy, it's chill and the runs are fun and fast, but the fun of it is doing PVPve and the fact that warframe players are so prone to rage quitting is hilarious and frustrating to me, especially since the reward difference between winning and losing is like 50 vosfor, which is nothing at all 🤡. If DE added a leaver's penalty I would appreciate it a lot, or some kind of rank/leaderboard system to make it so leavers get matched with other leavers, because MAN just finish the fuckin mission it's not that serious 😭

    There only being 3 new weapons (the coolest of which isn't even obtainable) makes the update feel really lightweight. An entire new setting, two new factions, and all we get is a couple of guns. C'mon... Also still really not big on giving warframes human faces, I think it's lame. And showing the contemporary-ish setting removed alot of the mistique warframe's world had. But my greavances with lore and aesthetics are probably subjective or whatever. Probably.

    2:15 actually I think the Hex didnt know how to use there own abilitys,we know about then and can use them when playing them but they dont...which if its true DE should have make it so that we could use there abilitys in my opinion

    I wish u could get rank 4 and five without chemistry cuz I have a job and that makes it rlly hard to do
    They said optional but if u want anything trades for rank 4 and 5 ur just screwed if u have a life
    Not to say if ur rank 4 or five u don't have a life but it's not something anyone can do
    Also i did a steel path pvpve and got level 200 something eximus units as that rlly hard techno enemy
    One was a leech and one was a guardian
    They were just immortal cuz my team kept standing in the leech pools

      Maybe not New War length, Jade Shadows was shorter but more packed, the problem with the story is that it went faster than Gauss on coccaine: We go from finding Entrati + Wally jumpscare, to trying to stop the nuke because his exact location is no longer accurate, then Kalymos appears and Albrecht tells us we have to duki the nuki or else the Murmur will destroy the past, and after that it's a giant elaborated plan to fail stopping the nuke while everyone died trying.
      I know some story stuff were reserved for the ARG and information gathered from whisper mini bosses, but I wanted more insight into how the infestation spread and what was Albrecht's true purpose in 1999 besides creating protoframes, and supposedly the Techrot enemies? At least based on what the Netracells show us?

    I just hate what it's done to Region chat lmao. Like being horny as a gag was one thing but this whole dating the Hex shit has introduced a whole new level of gooning into Region chat/the community that it's actually off putting. And DE isn't stupid - the Gemini skins probably sold like crack in the 80s, we're 100% getting more of these skins with human faces and the community is going to demand they be able to date them too.

    I like the gameplay, the vibe and the protoframes, but story and logicwise everything just falls apart. Like I've been using protoframes to run missions in my origin system for 3 weeks and yet when I chat with them they don't know what Grineer and Corpus are? Gtfo xD

    i don't care at all about the dating thing at all, always just spammed though with the first chat option nor about the story, actually already forgot what happened if not for your brief recap LOL
    the babaus with the insane dmg attenuation can easily be cheesed if 2 methods, zeyphr tornados + xatas or sevagoth passiv. though this ruins the runs for casual players, because not very many people know it...
    i personally don't like the assassination, kinda long way to get there (like most assassination to be fair), to then fight a boss you can deal with in few minutes, which is shorter then the travel time ._.
    yes everything is a syndicate nowadays in warframe :/ hopped for something else, but i guess never change a running system...
    the new nods and arcanes are very nice, and cyte also. the tile sets also look good though i have no idea how to tell if it is going to be day or night on there yet which is annoying if you wanna use mirage.
    i hate playing as the drifter, his weapon just feels so.... meh.... but till now i didn't find an option to not be the damn drifter in 1999 :/
    the update is good, actually brought be back after over a year long break but i really hopped for more

    If these are your genuine opinions, then wow are you in the minority. Wanting more content or even more variety is valid, but what is there is really great.
    The relationships are optional you get no reward for maxing them and getting the alternate ending, so no idea why you decide to be disingenuous about that. The chat itself is the vehicle for these, and choosing this medium meant that the volume of personality and lore we could receive was multiplied tenfold - the chats clear up so much of what has gone before and add colour to many assumptions.
    As a vet the new twists on mission were also refreshing for me at least, and the tileset and music continues their trend of knocking it out of the park.

    I love warframe, always will, but i aint gunna sit here and say everything DE does is perfect, i think DE is starting to fall into a level of toxic positivity lately, like yea aint guna lie the story for 1999 was a bit underwhelming and i been playing since 2017, i am MR legendary 2 and really i do love warframe but my facade for warframe became lifted when sevagoth prime was introduced and sorry but that prime looked like a frikkin deluxe skin and he was my fave warframe so changing him to a captian looking prime when we already had onw, hydroid pissed me off. I remember shouting in the live feed when he was shown on that i thought it was a deluxe skin and the moderator kept saying my statement was considered not conducted in a mannerful way or some shit and thats when i was like yooo what? There is a bit of toxic positivity behind warframe which is good but same time bad. But i feel for a long 1999 took it shoulda been a wee bit longer imo

    So... You both think that the update feels rushed, but would rather have had the Coda come with this update too? I'm not trying to be rude or snooty, but I do hope you see the problem here. Having the Coda system added onto this update would have only made it more rushed on both ends, and collectively made the entire update more lackluster as a whole. Unless you're saying that you would have preferred the update be delayed?
    Sorry, I'm just trying to understand what point you're trying to make, if any. I could just be looking into this too much when you just want to complain and don't really have a point to make. In which case, fair, it's your channel, pop off king.

      The dev team was being sucked into helping soulframe and have been ignoring/giving us bad updates like lotus eaters and now this with the delay happening. It seems like they just don’t care as much for Warframe anymore is my thing. Whispers had a bunch of new content with alchemy, netracells, EDA, and 2 new warframes with more stuff like melee arcanes and weapons.
      This was more hyped up then whispers was and it feels way less more to do then we did with whispers.
      Ppl with counter saying “well I’d rather it not be buggy at launch” when we had so many bugs on release with 1999. (T pose frames, teleporting operator, ppl accessing the finale early, cytes abilities not scaling properly at all)
      It’s gonna be railjack it’s already gonna be buggy as hell for the next update. But we were just promised so much more to come with this update. For how long they teased us about this, all there is to do is wait for standing reset.
      There’s legit no reason to play the new modes after you have cyte and the weapons. Already have them and all the arcanes so there’s nothing to do anymore.
      Would have been nice to have the liches to mix things up and keep players engaged. Maybe instead of standing it could have just been more to the quest then just 30-45 minutes. 2 hours would of been a good length and probably would of given the story a lot more to it then what we got.
