I'm in the process of designing an entire series of these toys Tom. These projects have been very popular and folks just seem to love making them with or for their children etc. I hope to have the new series up and running for the new year. Thanks for tuning in and for taking the time to leave the kind words. It's appreciated.
I love these kids toys. I've had my grandchild make every one. This is a bandsaw project which I am positive will go down well with the little one. A new tool to get to grips with. He's having a great time in my workshop.

Great project Kenny! Sometimes it’s fun to do very simple and quick projects in the shop ….. Too much of our lives is complicated ….. Relax with simplicity 🤠

Anyhow after the project I am working on presently I am going to have a go at this one. I love your web site and i am enjoying it. thank you for all of your hard work and entertainment. I have a very small mini lathe so this should kelp a lot.
Great little dump truck very simple for kids to help with in the shop, but do you know what you need now that you have a dump truck Ken? you're going to need a bulldozer and a crane maybe a backhoe and there you have it a set of construction truck toys for your Lil construction worker, Thanks Ken 👍
I love that idea Alan and I may just have to start designing some of those for a future episode of the show. Thanks for tuning in this week and for taking the time to chime in with your suggestion. It's very much appreciated.
This is a great little project. On the base, I was wondering if maybe it was just backwards? You extended the front, shortened the back, how would have been if you had just turned it around? I was just curious. Now that I have a newborn, I'm looking to make some wooden toys, think I'll add this to my list! Thanks for the inspiration!
I guess there's only one way to find that out Nick. Make one and see what happens if you reverse it. LOL. Congratulations on the newborn!!! A future woodworking in the making. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
Another great and cute looking pattern, needed a little refinement in the end but designed real well. I've been playing with designing some scroll saw patterns, but I need to find a good program to use so I can design the parts to a required dimension and they will print out at the correct size
I've been using Inkscape but recently, I updated my computer and Inkscape is no longer supported. Just as I was finally getting the hang of it too. Now I will be on the hunt for. a new one. Thanks for tuning in Brett. Good luck on your program search.

Good project. Well done. I'm just wondering why the dump pivot was not at the rear. That way, you could maintain the gap between the dump and cab. On this model, I would put a plug button on the back of the cab to maintain the cab gap. Like This model also the short wheel base is cute. Columbus Michigan

Hi Kenny. I've enjoyed creating a fleet of Helicopters (take 2) and I thought I'd jump into making the dump truck. You mentioned that the wood you used for the cab and bucket is 6 1/2" long x 3 1/2" wide. How thick is that wood?
At the 1:53 mark Ken, I mention that the stock I have chosen is a 2" thick piece of poplar, that measures 6 1/2" by 3 1/2" wide. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in and for chiming in with your question.
