Sounds bad. Borla and magnaflow are the only exhaust that bring the character of the vr30 out. You’ll also need full downpipes, becasue the 4 catalytic converters are the reason why you can’t even hear the engine.
It’s definitely quieter than expected but it’s also relative. Sean went from magnaflow to Fi and enjoys it better. You’re right, downpipes would have brought more to it. The package came with full downpipes but Sean didn’t want them on (same with Cody). I’d be interested to hear it with them installed.
Have to say I enjoy my magnaflow x mod with the straight pipe option.
