From now, during winters, if your shipments have temperature concerns, ship them to someplace warm instead and roadtrip to get them. I know that adds more travel time and hassle, but at least you would be available to intervene to add oxygen, water, or chemicals. You could even mod up a heated van or small bus with tubs, water, oxygen, etc.
To keep the heat, you can build a roof over some of the aquariums in the hall - constructions on poles, columns covered with some boards and put insulation loosely on it for the winter time.
weird question.. when the fish die while they are with you but arrive semi alive ? do you ever then freeze them and use them as free feeders to your other fish ? save them being wasted. obviously not with fish that arrive floating as you dont know how long they have been dead. but the others ?
I wanted to come and visit your store so bad when you were in Florida! I loved your whole setup there! 😍 I like your new facility too, but I wish you had stayed.
Funny diaper gag you pulled on Paul! I don’t know how you do it with the delivery systems for your fish. So many aren’t reliable lately. You work hard to revive them, which I appreciate and commend you. It must make running your business very difficult. The fish that look like dragons were very cool.
Lol one day he will have to deal with a real diaper. 99% of time they are good shipments but if flights get canceled and fish is not packed properly then we run into these types of situations.
lung fish and the puffers you can have more then 1 in tank.. the red ones are cool to. Puffers are awsome. Can you keep a male and female together ? or will they still attack each other?
If you guys can get Urogymnus polylepis or the giant fresh water string ray, and accommodate them, you should. They are endangered and breeding them would be amazing, zoos and aquariums would love to have them as well
iam still kinda new to the fish world... so i have a question! Why isnt there any water in the tanks at the moment when you put the fish in? must be a reason for that i gues?
Those 2 breads of Puffers y'all brought in are cool as hell. Buttt I have a question for y'all?? What are you guys going to do about this upcoming winter. New Yorks winter is no joke.
I want to have a small fresh water puffer. What is the best small fresh water puffer to start with. I have only kept tetras before so I am new to the puffer game.
theres pea puffer but some say they need to be in groups. imitator puffers, ocellated puffers, red eye puffers, red tailed dwarf puffers. do your research for their needs and what u need. most puffers require a good filtration system as they produce a lot of waste.
Iv seen ppl do certain techniques "fish cpr" to bring fish back to life after they jump out of the tankard been on the floor for 1-3 hours and it works most the time.
Very bad to buy fish and see that some of them are dead or sick. Watch the reviews from online shops, if you get it from a store always check the bag to see if all of the fish you will buy looks nice and healthy. Today I got some tiny fish from a store and unfortunately one of them had already dropsy because I was careless and trusted an inexpierienced employ. If I saw it I would propably return all the fish and live store.
Hi predatory fins I thank you for the information sometime I will give wish you good information about other fish that people can afford at all loaded love you video than that good
Once we had a shipment from Nigeria that had like 70% death rate due to delays. It's just one of those days where you take one to the chin then move on
I think Paul C. could add that fish with a dragon like dorsal fins. It would look great in the huge tank/pond that he got from you when you moved from Florida if he gets it to a good size to be able to go with his big fish.
My bio teacher would've loved to have interesting fish to dissect in class. He has to fight for the funding to do the annual pig fetus dissection for his seniors. Maybe a teacher would like the dead fish for a lesson?
"Hey what's up? I've been listening to you call my phone for the past 15 minutes. I just got a shipment of dying fish, if I don't answer after the first three times, stop calling."
I really need your help sourcing the bigger tank for my red tail or you possibly homing my red tail I know you got rid of your big mama mine's name is Chip she's only 3 months old right now but she's going to need a bigger home if I can't get it together by the time she needs it I would love for you to give her a bigger home right now she's only 8 in by 4:00 so she still has time she's only 3 months old I bought her October 23rd 2022 she was two and a half inches by an inch

would more heatpacks not work?
@@wonder777warrior6 Yes.
the Bichirs will actually latch on and deathroll like a crocodile so the teeth make sense. its sad but was cool to see up close.
at least one of the suspected fish to be dead might not die.
Plus they’re ambush predators. Teeth make sure their prey doesn’t get away
These guys hunt most of the time at dark hours, so the box was 24/7 dark, close range, perfect atmosphere for the bichir

That's an excellent idea. Like mini-pandemic greenhouses, over each rack.
You can 'double tent' in areas, where you need extra insulation.
Make video pls 😌
Dad jokes😂 4inches like Kevin😂
Idk why, haven’t watched in awhile, feel an episode binge about to happen 😂🎉
Great job guys 👍🏻
Loved the Red Miurus Puffers & Congo Puffers! Always great to see puffers on your channel, my favorite! 🙂
Hey, it's cold here in Florida too. Woke up it was 55 thus morning.
spotted congo puffers were great. You have a few huge ones in there, i wish i got those instead but i'm happy with the ones i got from you.
Great video as you say its always best to show the good and bad of the store life when shipping in keep up the great work
The yellow with black spotted puffers💛💛 their my all time favorite!
Do you normally not plan ahead?

The little baby Giraffe fish are sooo cute! 🤗
Beautiful fish. It bad about how many fish that did not make it. God bless you both and both your families.....🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😀

Nice nice fish !!!
When you receive a shipment do you treat all the fish for possible issues? What do you treat them with?
If you guys can get Urogymnus polylepis or the giant fresh water string ray, and accommodate them, you should. They are endangered and breeding them would be amazing, zoos and aquariums would love to have them as well
How long were those fishes delay??? Im having problems wirh delays in my litle import bussines in my country?
Did the bichir that you put back in at the end that you thought was gone make it?
Bichir will be fine, They have lungs and gills and when they live live in the wild and move across dry land.
iam still kinda new to the fish world... so i have a question! Why isnt there any water in the tanks at the moment when you put the fish in? must be a reason for that i gues?
Nooo sorry for the loss
Congicus,my dream polypterus.Rare as rocking horse sh*t over here 🇬🇧.R.i.p on all your d.o.a's.

We are insulating the back part of the building where all the fish are, should be done before it gets too cold.
40 degrees? Where? I thought you were in Florida?
EDIT: Apologies, They probably arrived in ATL further north perhaps.
He moved to New York

also a planted aquarium is always best to keep nitrates down.
Please keep the albino lungfish! So cool!
For me it’s the aimara wolf fish never had anything more aggressive towards anything more 😂 mines 12 inch and hates everything
also a Bichir fish to go into his tank with the catfish Royal clown night fish and his arowana

Is that African arowanas? How much what's the biggest one you have?
All prices and sizes are on our website predatoryfins.com
i love the puffers
So what caused the delay in PF receiving the fish?
Connecting flights got canceled
Imagine being the postman though and a box getting damaged leads him to finding monster fish flipping around the van..
Definitely the lung fish.
I love that fish, but in my country very expensive
My bio teacher would've loved to have interesting fish to dissect in class. He has to fight for the funding to do the annual pig fetus dissection for his seniors. Maybe a teacher would like the dead fish for a lesson?
Albino lung Fish 💕💕
Can you claim of the airport rod or the supplier or one of them for the dead fish
Yes, the fish that arrived DOA (dead on arrival) we can claim but the biggest expense is the freight.
