Having large Halogen Lights that blend perfectly with the stock OEM halogen headlights are really great. Only draw back worth mentioning is the high wattage really. I run 4 KC halogens on my front bumper and two rough country black series LED pod lights on hood hinges for ditch lights. Love the set up

I love mine and I agree that halogen light is much easier on the drivers eyes.

Glad you have the same experience. Now if we can get LEDs near this color temp. Than I would be really happy.

Had an almost identical set-up and got rid of it after a few hot off-road trips in the desert. My lights and winch blocked too much air flow and my 4.0 got pretty hot. Hopefully you don’t have the same problem. I moved 2 to the outside of the stubby bumper and the other 2 on the “A” pillar/window frame mounts. I went with the amber on the bumper and if you are out in the desert with a lot of people you will love the visibility with the ambers. Off topic, but that was a pretty cool set up you did with your solar charging system.

You know, I had the same experience. I thought this bar and the two 8" lights in front where causing my jeep to run warm originally however, it turns out I had an entirely different issue. So far I have not noticed any increase in temperature. Fingers crossed!
That is a pretty good plan. I am also going to add a set of spots to the A pillar as well. I totally agree, it seems that for desert running a mixture of amber and white are needed to not only cut the dust but also to be able to see the road better. Glare from desert sand at night is a real thing.
Glad you like the solar setup! So far it is working very well. We were able to test it over a Memorial weekend camping trip. It seemed to work great!

i was thinking about wiring 4 of thoses kcslim led light on top of my sport rack what kind of gage wire would you recommand ?

Depends on the amp draw and distance the wire is running. You can use online charts that show what gauge wire to use for amp draw and the length of wire used.
      code-42.blogspot.com/2017/05/selecting-correct-gauge-wires.html?m=1
Use that link. Scroll down till you see the chart, click on it to open it up.
If it where me, and the amp draw is low, I’d probably go for 14 or 12 gauge. And would lean more towards 12 gauge. But add up the amp draw of all the lights and than see where you land.

Larger wiring helps, as well as upgrade bulbs.

They look great Mark good job 👍 i like the LEDS but i guess i am still old school , by the way how did the radiator flush go i guess it worked out well , i was just curious are you going to retry the ford explorer fan setup ?????

Thank you! Well, the truth is these halogens would be old school, LEDs are new school. But, LEDs have their place!
It seems to have, I need to do another test and see what the true results are. I've been so busy I have not had time to really test it out yet. Once I figure out the issue, I may try the ford fan setup again just to see. Luckily it's not a hard switch.

Embark With Mark don’t know what a spider is though doubt hardly anyone in England would know. I guess you ran the cables under the hood to fuse box and into the cab to a switch

Ah, an Spod is a series of switches and relays.
But essentially yes, I ran the lights to a box of relays that had switches in the cab already wired up. Here’s is the companies website. www.4x4spod.com
