That said i like the truck. For an EV. Im not sold on EV's. I was originally sold on the first gens but the tech cannot be broadcast across the globe like they want. Rural ppl, cold weather ppl, towing ppl there are MANY uses that EVs are a joke for. I hate all the legal regulation forcing EV's on everyone's doorstep. The EV F150 range drops to 90 miles if you hook it up to tow. Throw in cold weather and id bet it drops to 60. Whats that useful for? And regulation is pushing this. Meanwhile you cant recycle the batteries, the materials for the batteries are insufficiently mined across the globe spiking commodity prices and we are literally short Mines across the globe for the amount of materials needed to change the fleet over to electric. It makes absolutely no sense. Think about this. Ive seen classic cars still on the road, how many Leafs have you seen? How many electric Focus EV's have you seen? I had one. How many of these electric cars will you see on the road in just 8 years from new? Is that green? Thats so terrible i cant even remark. And here these GREEN ppl are championing these toxic boat anchors. Because that's what the batteries turn into when done. We still can recycle them.
Just listened to the first 90 seconds of your comments and you are completely wrong. The concept version was great, I even called the local dealer to put my name on being able to order it early, but now that I see the production version, forget it. What kind of marketing Geniuses do they have at Dodge?
The concept had me excited, the production has me disappointed its not revolutionary. On the bright side the production does look like an affordable 40k truck. If they charge 55k they are placing the consume on the back burner with this model.
I'm honestly glad it resembles the ICE version. Why carry the nameplate if you're not even gonna vaguely resemble the original? That's why the F-150 Lightning looks great. I hate EVs that are overstyled just because it's the 2020s.
It looks so much cleaner than the concept. I absolutely hate the trend of making evs look crazy and futuristic just to sell them more. You don't need to flaunt the fact that you have an ev. It should speak for itself.
IDK, I find most of the car designs super boring so I'm excited when I see some more pizzaz. The concept was actually cool, but given how boring the REV is gonna look like I'm getting a Sierra EV instead. It's a bummer, since ideally I'd wish I could get a plugin hybrid like Ramcharger that looks like Ram REV's concept or production Sierra EV.
The exterior of the concept was superior IMO however the interior of production is much more functional. The loss of the instrument console, buttons, and knobs for a single touch screen is an example of form over function. Tesla did this to reduce parts in the supply chain to simplify production lowering time and cost. In the real world, a Hud displayed in the daytime is worse. Tactile knobs are easier and safer while driving over the touch screen.
The concept was far more aerodynamic than the production model. This would have made it far better for range than this production model will be. The barn style doors on the tailgate with the extra 2.5' extension would have also been more useful than the standard production model. Sure, I didn't like the glass roof or all of the electric gadgets of the concept, but the shape made way more sense for an EV. Then again, I'm a function over form kind of guy because I want use out of my truck.
Since it’s from Stellantis (pronounced Staleness) I’m not shocked that they would make the production version dull. Ram just phoned it in… Typical Chrysler Corp.
Dodge got it COMPLETELY WRONG!!! Cyber truck (if it ever comes out) didn’t get 1.5million waiting list because it looks like a traditional truck. Dodge is missing THE opportunity to break out from the pack.
In January 2023 RAM unveiled a muscle bound stylish piece of art. An engineering marvel. A month later, they unveiled a piece of typical fluff. I went from elated to having a reservation an hour after the option was there, to nauseated they’re using the same design that’s been out for 4 years now. Beyond disappointed, thought the production version would have the same spirit as the concept, maybe be 70% similar to it. This sucks, boring as he&&. I’d have paid $150k for that original reveal
I'm very disappointed with the actual production version. So far I think I am GM EV TRUCKS fan now. I'm all about futuristic design when it comes to EVs. GM killed it with their EVs trucks.
Without any doubt, I prefer the production version, the concept was to much of a fu-fu truck. Following ford's idea to br a normal truck that sells very well, is nothing short if brilliant. Ram has a winner here because their trucks have a huge following and a good reputation. So I think the production Ram rev is perfect for being a truck
These EV trucks are getting a lot of attention because almost nobody owns one. Just wait until people start complaining about range. It'll be a flash in the pan.
There's a large amount of truck buyers who don't tow. For those people, a range of 250-300 miles without a trailer is perfectly doable. The bigger issue is the lack of fast and reliable public charging stations.
I guess I'm in the minority here but I absolutely hated the way the concept looked. While I don't exactly love the production version, I'd still take it over the concept any day.
I love the concept version and, quite frankly, am tired of the basic shape of every pickup out there. Aside from front and rear end, every pickup looks the same. While I do love the front end (rear is ok) of this new Ram EV, I was hoping Dodge would revamp the basic truck like they’re revamping their cars. I felt the same way when Ford introduced the Lightning. Decent front and rear end, boring everywhere else. Same with GMC. I think the general population is ready for a change.
The concept looked like it could compete to Korean futuristic designs, the production ended up looking another generic American go getter. A Hyundai would've done better.
I totally prefer the concept far more than the production version

There’s so many excuses for Ford and Stellantis floating around. I am actually astonished at the amount of excuses being provided for why this is acceptable. This truck doesn’t hold a candle to the Silverado EV. 😂
on spot for sure
Exactly.....WHAT HAPPENED? I was telling my wife i wanted to get one until i saw the production model. Its just another typical looking truck. COME ON DODGE!!!
3:20 Because your super large central TV is just not big enough. The passenger needs a screen because the central one is just to far... or not big enough? What ever you need it. And you'll pay for it. LOL Seriously that's where we are.
What kind of marketing Geniuses do they have at Dodge?
this is an abomination and a travesty.
Yawn. I agree that Ram makes the best looking trucks; but this version is pretty uninspiring.
*reality is often disappoiting*
Silverado EV looks the best
The concept had me excited, the production has me disappointed its not revolutionary. On the bright side the production does look like an affordable 40k truck. If they charge 55k they are placing the consume on the back burner with this model.
I'm honestly glad it resembles the ICE version. Why carry the nameplate if you're not even gonna vaguely resemble the original? That's why the F-150 Lightning looks great. I hate EVs that are overstyled just because it's the 2020s.
The designers lost the battle with the accountants...
Would have canceled my Cyber truck for the Concept version, but not the REV.
So essentially Dodge went the Ford route for production and the Chevy version for concept.
It's a bummer, since ideally I'd wish I could get a plugin hybrid like Ramcharger that looks like Ram REV's concept or production Sierra EV.
hold on ,what happened! is right.
They should have never shown the Concept. Just show the Production Version. If they were not going to do all those innovations...
Well that was stupid they just lost a ton of customers that’s a regular ram 1500 especially after we seen the concept
I mean it looks good but nothing like the concept. I have a feeling we will see a new revolution in the coming years that is more like the concept
I'll be getting that Insider+ dinero back
Didn't take long to bail out of that concept.
Ram just phoned it in… Typical Chrysler Corp.
they went from an awesome concept to a bland standard truck...
Dodge got it COMPLETELY WRONG!!! Cyber truck (if it ever comes out) didn’t get 1.5million waiting list because it looks like a traditional truck. Dodge is missing THE opportunity to break out from the pack.
disappointed
My dream to own a tron vehicle will have to wait...
They basically made 1500 electric the same thing everybody else is doing corny that’s the only reason I even consider the ram
Genuinely heart broken that the concept was just that, a concept.
I'm very disappointed with the actual production version. So far I think I am GM EV TRUCKS fan now. I'm all about futuristic design when it comes to EVs. GM killed it with their EVs trucks.
Ford and Stellantis cannot compete with GM. RAM fanboys are making every excuse in the book for why RAM just pulled this stunt. 😂
Truck owners (working stiffs) can and do know how to appreciate better design and technology. Pls give us a little credit!
Garbage!!! The concept was so much better... sad to see the potential loss.
This is so disappointing
THANK GOD they didnt got with the concept
If the 2024 GMC Sierra EV throws in a pano sunroof sales on this will take a hit, IMO.
It’s too safe. Ford and Ram missed the mark with aerodynamics, or lack there of.
Lesson learned. Can't trust Stelantis concepts.
Kinda sad
Without any doubt, I prefer the production version, the concept was to much of a fu-fu truck.
Following ford's idea to br a normal truck that sells very well, is nothing short if brilliant.
Ram has a winner here because their trucks have a huge following and a good reputation.
So I think the production Ram rev is perfect for being a truck
I personally think the concept beats the actual truck by a long shot dodge and ram are being scared and weak
Why u need a ram ev?! When u have a beast 100k TRX
Pickup trucks have never been as different as they are today. Even on the side they don't look the same at all.
The concept looked like it could compete to Korean futuristic designs, the production ended up looking another generic American go getter. A Hyundai would've done better.
