  • #aurovilleindia #auroville #aurovillediaries #aurovillelife #aurovillecommunity #aurovillepondicherry #aurovillelibrary #pondicherry We stayed inside Auroville for 8 days to know its Life, Landscape & Lifestyle. We explored various Residential complexes inside Auroville to see the design, architecture, and the way Auroviliens live.
    Auroville is an experimental township located in the state of Tamil Nadu in southern India. It was founded in 1968 by Mirra Alfassa, also known as "The Mother," who was a spiritual collaborator of Sri Aurobindo. The main vision behind Auroville is to create a universal town where people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds can live together in peace and harmony. It aims to be a place where humanity can progress toward its higher potential and explore the possibilities of human unity.
    Auroville is organized as an international community and governed by the Auroville Foundation, under the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India. It is recognized as an "International Township" and has its own constitution, aiming to ensure that all residents have equal rights and opportunities. The architecture of Auroville reflects its ideals of sustainability and harmony with nature. The township is known for its unique and innovative buildings, combining traditional and modern techniques. Matrimandir, a prominent landmark of Auroville, is a golden spherical structure that serves as a meditation centre and focal point for the community.
    Residents of Auroville, known as Aurovilians, come from various countries and engage in a wide range of activities, including agriculture, education, art, handicrafts, and renewable energy initiatives. The community emphasizes self-sufficiency and sustainable living practices. Auroville is open to visitors, who can explore the township, participate in workshops and events, and experience the community's way of life. The town attracts people seeking a spiritual or alternative lifestyle and has become a popular destination for those interested in meditation, yoga, and holistic practices.

    If you are so much hung on sustainability then why use cars. Why not use bullock cart. Sustainability is pronounced as FASHION ABILITY

    • @happygotravelers
      @happygotravelers  2 месяца назад +4

      Most of the Aurovilleans use either bicycles or just walk. It's only us tourists using cars :)

    • @happygotravelers
      @happygotravelers  2 месяца назад

      We think you have a good point here @pradeepsingh , I am sure what you said was in the minds of the founders of Auroville. But it seems things have changed over a period of time. Maybe the present administration doesn't have that much freedom. I mean we can only speculate. One thing is for sure, there seems to be lot of dissatisfaction in the way Auroville is being run nowadays, reasons unknown.

      You are right about "Fashion ability" of the bicycle in the cities in Europe and it is also an answer to sustainability.
      Why go for a bullock cart ? It is not fashionable atall.
      My humble request to all to try to be polite in their remarks.
      Please try to be.

    Why not just speak in Hindi, use of some words in English makes it sound weird that too the pronunciation

    • @happygotravelers
      @happygotravelers  Месяц назад

      Thanks for watching the video. Since our videos are meant for everyone not just hindi speaking audience, we try and keep a balance between both English and Hindi. Not sure what did you find wierd about the pronunciation.

    • @ShivMathur
      @ShivMathur Месяц назад

      @@happygotravelers either make in Hindi or just English. This shows that you are trying to be English but making in Hindi. Pronunciation in English whenever those words are used is not good. That’s why I am suggesting don’t use English words in between. If you can understand and take this feedback than it’s up to you
