The fact that Chipotle did not apply for long term loans to finance its stores expansion is commendable. It’s easy to see why the business is currently thriving in an inflated-inflicted economy. While competitors are panicking over the ever rising cost of debt capital, Chipotle remains calm. Considering the fact that the company doesn’t pay dividend then you see why the fast casual dining giant maintains a strong balance sheet with sufficient cash 💵. Second, this cash is channeled into its menu innovation and branding which has helped bring in more customers while retaining the old ones. Not a peculiar move but definitely a unique execution that has evidently bore fruits even amidst the COVID pandemic . Lastly, being able to keep the original management team of the company till now helped to keep values in check. They had perfected the art of the fast casual business before expanding.
