  • This 1981 Suzuki promotional film, titled " Suzuki Spells Performance T-S-C-C ", was sent to the Suzuki motorcycle dealerships to be used as an in house commercial. The film highlights technical aspects and performance footage of the GS-1100. The film shows drag racing footage, engine internal design, and road-testing footage in city and track riding.
This film came from my personal collection. This film was not downloaded from any website and is not reused content. This restoration is my work. The restoration process started with removing the super8 film from the Technicolor Cartridge. After removal the film was cleaned, repaired, and spooled onto a standard film reel. Next the scanning to digital process was performed on the Lasergraphics Scanstation motion picture film scanner in 2k resolution. Excess film grain noise was removed and the images upscaled to 4k resolution utilizing Topaz AI software. Then extensive color restoration was performed in Davinci Resolve. Finally, the film was downscaled back to 2k for uploading to RUclips.

Wonderful days! I was a teenager in the 1970's and the GS range was so prominent by the late 70's. I had the 400, 550 and 1000 and I loved every on e of them! Looking back, It isn't hard to understand why they are loved as much today. Power isn't everything. These bikes had breathtaking beauty as well!

I loved this motorcycle, from the first moment I saw it, in 1980, when I was 15 years old, that my friend's older brother, came home with such a new motorcycle. The knowledge that this motorcycle has more than 100 hp (we are talking about 110 hp), which worked out well With the volume 1100.
The special, advanced and non-standard cluster at the time and in general, the subtle (specially with the smaller fuel tank of the American models) but very present design of the bike, left a huge impuct on me. As soon as I reached the driving license age, 18, I bought a motorcycle like this. Love it to this day.
