Love catching up on your latest videos when they come out. As a n gauge railway modeller you are one of the RUclipsrs that has inspired me to start documenting my progress on RUclips. Already looking forward to the next installment. Cheers, Rich.
Enjoyed your review. Seeing the models at the Dapol open day, in their display case, last year, I thought I would get them for my N scale collection. I changed my mind, when a friend bought an OO scale Scotrail livery. With sound the OO, is awesome. I now have in OO, 68001, 68007 and 68010, covering the three liveries, currently available. Hope to see it in TPE livery in due course. They may make an announcement at their open day, 8th September, which I will be attending, from Scotland.
Hi Simon, I have three of these 68s, and you are soo right Dapol have done a stunning job, esp with the next 18 decoder (6 function) with separate lights and cab lights. Its a league above. I have however had pulling issues with the coupling at no 1 end. The ‘other’ rapido coupling of wagon or coach etc seems to catch the buffers and pipes tipping the said piece of rolling stock over. All 3 of mine have done it. So be interested to see if yours does too. I had to cut the pipes down a bit to clear the coupling or use an extra long rapido, but.... they are near impossible to find. I have one... When you get the decoder a 6 function is amazing if you are able to get one. Looking forward to seeing Victoria bridge, its certain no mean feat creating such a complex structure.
Thanks for amother video. Loco looks impressive and quite beautiful. Interesting they have not included magnetic couplers as they usually do with their locos - I wonder if that is significant?
Can someone tell me which manufacturer builds British rolling stock in a proper 1:160 scale? It is already hard enough to get it in germany, so i don't want to find out that it does not match with continental N-scale after i bought it.
The difference between 1:148 & 1:160 is so minor that both are compatible. This is bacause there is a natural, minute gap between the flanges and the rails. Therefore, few companies produce British trains in 1:160, making it virtually impossible to find, if it even exists...
Fantastic. After seeing all the 00 guys swooning over this loco, it's great that Dapol have done a N gauge version. It looks stunning!
I just got my first Dapol N gauge train(class 22) and it is amazing. So much detail, small, quiet but very powerful.
Wow! A brilliant looking loco. Seems to run superbly too 👍🚂🚅

Great performance!
Very good
Blimey I have just seen one on Hatton's site £242 !!
It Kinda looks like a SC-44.
Dapol are horrid, their motors are terrible and they have no weight to them.
