Scary Dirt Bike Crash - Knocked OUT

- First time riding motocross for the 2024 season. Track was wet and had some deep ruts. Moto 1 went ok, but things took a turn for the worst on lap 1 of moto 2. I came out of the corner, over a small roller, and missed the rut causing me to superman over the bars right into the face of the double jump. I hit my head hard and got knocked out for just over a minute. My wrist and hand are bruised and swollen, but the x-rays showed no breaks (thankfully). Motocross is a high risk sport and small mistakes can have big consequences. Reminder to invest in quality protection gear and ride safe. It all comes at you quickly.

Buddy that was scary to watch... Very glad to see you up and moving ok. Did you see a doctor about a possible concussion? How's your head feel?
I did see a doctor. Got checked out and everything seemed normal. Got an x-ray on my wrist as well.
Mild headaches still throughout the day, but that's pretty normal at this stage. Unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened to me. Ride safe!

I love to see the people who help, not even the guy who mainly tried to get you awake, but even the dude who turned around immediately to block more people off, the moto community is full of kind people and it’s amazing…
I was never able to get anyone’s name that helped me and the track didn’t share it. I’m very grateful for everyone’s help that day. Could have been a lot worse! Even the track owner gave me a ride to my truck on his quad. No idea who actually brought my bike back.

Got everything checked out and thankfully my head is fine. Just suffered a pretty bad concussion and messed up my wrist. It’s taking longer than expected to heal but I’m back out there!

Ouch dude, sorry to see ya crash like lightning! I've been there a few years ago, broke 3 ribs and punctured a lung! its sucks, but that is part of the deal when dirt biking! happy to see a good ending though! can't wait for your next episode! Cheers!

Btw when you said you snore when your knocked out it can also be caused from troubles breathing ao it causes you to snore. Btw i really do hope your ok

A while back I went for a ride on my own on a track not far from home. From what I can tell, I over rotated when I took a jump and landed almost vertically on the rear. I don't remember getting the key for the bike, the next thing I remember was opening my eyes and seeing fluorescent lights flash past as I was wheeled down the hospital corridor. I had a major concussion and a dislocated shoulder but somehow I managed to take off my helmet and walk to the neighbors farm.
@@cailean59 wow, that is wild! Thankfully mine wasn’t nearly that bad. I was out for a bit, but everything came back right away. Concussions are no joke. Hope you fully recovered. Ride safe 👍

must be crazy waking up when you were just riding your dirt bike hope your okay must be crazy! My brother crashes riding his dirt bike he only a broke a finger but still was badly bruised. Sadly it was on some public place and a other dirt biker riding hit his bike and fell. Thankfully he landed in mud which soften the landing, but there both ok!
