Dressing It Up A Little For My Final Cancer Treatments

Thankfully I recently finished six months of chemo and immunotherapy treatment for follicular lymphoma. To make me feel better I decided to dress it up a little when I went in for treatments. This vintage Mexican couture vest is a piece of wearable art. I love it. This vintage hand made embroidered top is so beautifully made. I’ve not seen one like it. It’s cheery and makes me happy. How cute are the two lovebirds on the front? Long days required snacks. This vintage Issey Miyake Pleats Please top is flattering and super comfy to wear. The shoes made out of vintage Turkish rugs added a pop of color. I wore this vintage 1970s dress from The Way We Wore on the last day when I got to ring the bell which was so emotional. I know it might sound silly but wearing some of my favorite things really did help me get through a difficult time.

Thank you. The shoes are from a company called Sabah . They are handmade in Turkey and come in a variety of colors. There is this style and then a slip on. I have several pairs and I love them. Super comfy too.
