I didn't expect to see Glenn Lazarus interviewing Willie Carne. Great upload all round.

Love how “loyal” the ARL were to the clubs that stuck with them. Shafting norths, south’s, Illawarra, list goes on. Teams were better of going to the star league. Till this day I don’t have my team back as we stayed and got merged, even though we were a foundation side. Disgusting.

What a find..! How… the hell has this saga not become a 4 to 6 episode series? This was an important part of Rugby League history in this country

Have you come across the Rugby League Digest podcast? It has tens of episodes dedicated to the Super League War.

@@timelessleague definitely looking forward to it. Ironically this is my favorite era in "rugba" league, despite the turmoil.
So these videos mean a lot. Thanks mate.

1 million dollars a season. Still to this day they’re still getting 1 million dollars a season.

Yep, taking inflation into account, one million dollars a year in the mid 90s was HUGE money. Effectively they are getting paid less nowadays.

    Awesome upload !
Gotta say that some of the talk here about "Loyalty" didn't age well , in particular with Brad Clyde . The Raiders showed bugger all loyalty with Clyde and Stuart when they shafted them and both ended up at the Bulldogs .

Ribot got a much fairer hearing here than on the Footy Shows in Brisbane and Sydney to be seen elsewhere on RUclips.

Im sure if the arl just listern to Murdoch and made a big tv right deal with maybe ch9 aswell there would be no war and player and the arl would have bigger pay cheques
