@@jimmykimtv I was there 2 weeks ago..... I wish I turned left instead of right out of Petaling St Market!!! LOL Will have to visit her shop next trip. Cheers Don, Perth W.Australia (Dons Shed and Xplor Overland)
The juice lady was sooo beautiful, I can't believe she is 39yo!! she looks in her 20's. I wish her all the best with her new business. Cheers from Argentina. Fede
That fruit juice stand lady was awesome. First off, I couldn't tell if Jimmy said "Aging gracefully" or "Asian gracefully" LOL but for 39 she looks incredibly not 39. She's also very sweet and I sure hope her little stand does well for her. As someone who went to Malaysia once in my life (a longggggggg time ago) and had an amazing time not only food wise but people wise also I'm quite happy Jimmy went there and had a good time.
Most asians can tell the difference between Asian. But we struggle to tell the difference between westerners. Most westerners looks the same to us. Same goes to westerners struggle to differentiate between Asian. Especially japanese, chinese and Korean.
Hey Jimmy! Thanks for coming to Malaysia and promoting our country! I really love all of your videos, and I didn’t expect to see you here! I'm glad there weren't any 'crazy fans' around to bother you during your vlog. Hope you’re enjoying your time in Malaysia, and I’d love to meet you one day! Cheers!
Some sellers let you taste the fruit. That one mangosteen doesn't cost much but the coconut is around rm4-5. I don't know but I have a feeling that they know they overcharged a youtuber and give the coconut for free. And here we are talking about it 😂
They probably included the other stuff after he asked if it was too expensive. With the added stuff it's still expensive. I'm guessing it's service fees bc I can get a coconut for the same or less at an Asian grocery store but it's like 4-6 USD at a cafe
I used to live in Malaysia and was fortunate to do a road trip and travelled all over mainland Malaysia. In my opinion, the best cuisine I had whilst living in Malaysia was in Georgetown and many hawker areas in Penang Island. Would love to see our man Uncle Jimmy visit Penang Island
Ikr...kuala lumpur is literally tourist trap...most of the food is tasteless...some the shop even cooked by foreigners..should come penang to taste real Malaysian food
Uncle Jimmy, you will have second thoughts about travelling to China after watching China Observer or China Insights for sure. Just look up all their food scandal videos. Scooping up of gutter oil for cooking, unhygienic food preparations, poor kitchen conditions, fake food products and much, much more.
Yes, yes! You need to go China ASAP! You don't look Chinese at all. Better stick to Korean when you goto China if you want to find a lot of "business partners 👧"
Jimmy, i know that you love Ásia, but i hope that someday you come to Brasil and try our street food, you will fall in love for it. One more thing, in the city of São Paulo, on the Bom Retiro neighborhood, there is a community of Korean immigrants.
I love your clay pot dish!! And the price of the food is really affordable.. Great to see you trying different kind of fruits as well.. Blessings to you Jimmy
so happy for you man, I used to watch your valorant streams. Super cool that your successful doing irl stuff and im glad you switched over from valorant haha.
That scene from that ‘Chinese martial arts movie’ that Jimmy was referencing at 2:46 features the actor Ti Lung in his 1973 film ‘Blood Brothers’ (刺马). After a mid-career downturn, Ti Lung would return to star in one of the greatest films in Hong Kong history ‘A Better Tomorrow’ and remains one of the most respected performing artists today. 😊
jimmy with each video you give me laughs and i appreciate your take on life some day i will have times like this but im still gonna enjoy what i have been given and keep trying to be better thanks man and happy late bday
The piece of durian Jimmy ate was one of the more expensive durians in Malaysia. So RM28 for a piece can be alright if it’s from a high end durian. A whole durian will sometimes cost RM250 for just one. Maybe he wasn’t ripped off in reality
Wow, the prices in KL seems to have gone up a lot. I was there a few years ago and things were roughly 1/2 the price. Either the tourist areas are really bumping prices or inflation has trickled over to that part of the world as well.
To be frank this is more of a touristy spot hence why the price. But as a local (pasar seni) where petaling street located is the area where all the “hipster cafes” are and yeah its quite pricey as it more of the “it” area for youth to hang out.
Jimmy your quick wit has me rolling. When eating the sandwich and chocked on the chicken floss, "ah the meat went in my throat now I know how that feels " I about peed my pants lol
10:07: The meat went into my throat. … now I know how that feels. LOLOL!!! DUDE!!! That is how you make a dirty joke funny with zero “sorry children” needed. 😂😂😂

Nice foodie vlog, although you missed out on a lot of interesting cafes, bakeries, bars and art centres too (places where locals would go!). Jalan Sultan area, Jalan Tun HS Lee, and across the road to The Zhongshan Building.
We do see simplified Chinese characters all over. The kind of written Chinese used in Malaysia, Singapore, mainland China and Brunei. And yeah, we also do see halal-friendly Chinese dishes from there 😊😊😊😊
For barbecue/ roasted/ fried chicken leg for me as Malaysian it's so expensive.. should be below RM10 maybe because you going to tourist spot. Coconut drink also expensive should be RM5-6 only.
I don't think it was a scam, musang king are premium durian and usually very expensive. You can see from the paper that they hang that it's RM 70 per KG.
But to get local-local price, no one really goes to Petaling Street. Although, I have lived in Kuala Lumpur for my entire life here. I could count with my fingers on how many times I have went there.
Hi Mr RUclipsr Uncle Jimmy, I'm not sure if you have a taste in Vintage but Imma recommend anyways xD. There's a audio cafe in Kota Damansara which is quite far from Kuala Lumpur actually but you can get there through the MRT system. It's called Vintage Kissa Audio Cafe. It's really a vibe and relaxing place. The owner is a collector of the 60's, 70's, 80's vinyl records, cd, cassettes and etc. He even have a set of old school Cinema Speakers in his cafe which is really good. Their cafe opens on Tuesday to Sunday from 12pm to 9pm(12pm to 10pm on Friday and Saturday). The foods are quite nice and I would recommend vistiting after 6pm so it gets less crowded. Oh also they have a fridge full of craft beers. :3
The juice lady was such a sweetheart. I will definitely visit her shop next month during my trip to the South East Asia...
She was super sweet! Visit her shop, you won't regret it!

Am I the only one thinking they gave you free stuff because they ripped you off on the durian and then realized you are vlogging their shop… 🤔
Yup. This place bullshit. No many local people want to go there btw
Yup. Tourist trap.🤬
how could they!🥹 I knew that I was getting hustled to be honest, haha
Yeah definitely jimmy got scammed there 😅
@@jimmykimtv felt like the price u paid wasn't for 1 seed, its for 1 whole durian with more seeds, thats why its "expensive" 😂

Its very obvious to any asians that he got that korean features

The free coconut juice and mangosteen seems to be already included in the RM28 high durian price.

Hi Jimmy, the claypot chicken rice, you have to mix it. Remove the saucer and mix the rice. Safe travels.
And need to scrape the bottom for rice crust😅
RM28 for a seed of durian is totally a rip-off. Getting a free mangosteen afterwards wasn't going to make up for it.
But to get local-local price, no one really goes to Petaling Street. Although, I have lived in Kuala Lumpur for my entire life here. I could count with my fingers on how many times I have went there.
I think it's about reasonable price in KL city. I wish we can get small town price in KL city 😢
Congratz on getting the seamaster Jimmy
Wear it in good health
My man eating the claypot rice portion for 2 to 3 ahaha, u suppose to mix it like bibimbab along the fried salted fish, it will be heavenly mix.
Jimmy I noticed you upgraded from the Seiko to the Seamaster!
I was here too but in the past it was more fun
Also Petaling Street is mostly for tourist, so the price there is inflated as well, I don't think locals visit there casually.
As an Chinese all that food I want. Like it looks so good.
So kdrama of your hair Jimmy-kun!!!! Goes well with building your harem :0
Yeah that roasted chicken thigh was definitely "tourist priced".
