    First thing to think about before opening a LGS is remembering WOTC doesn't want you to exist. Next would be the thought of how you feel lighting your money on fire. Last would be to go outside and play hide and go fook yourself

    Damn dude, as someone who is only a few months into this journey this was great video to listen to. While busting my ass for ten hours at work in a hot warehouse and wanting a way out I realized the only way is through. Went home told my wife about my plan to work every possible overtime shift for the next year to pay off our debt. I’ve been very careful and selective to pick up some stock here and there on DEEP discount that’ll hopefully have great margins in a few years when I’m ready to take my business live. So much real world talk in this video and not all fluff and hot air, it was greatly appreciated!

    Hey man love the videos. I'm a mechanic who wants to get out of the industry and go into business for myself in something else. Your videos are helping me shape a game plan to try to break into this industry and hopefully not lose my shirt! Definitely keep making these videos, hearing the information from an actual store owner is invaluable!

    A Dave Ramsey Financial Coach here-
    Dave doesn't say you have to buy your home in cash. Obviously, if you CAN, then do so!
    Dave wants you to put a nice down payment on your home-to-be, at least 20%, so as to avoid PMI (private mortgage insurance).
    If you're otherwise debt-free, it's far easier to then plow away at paying off your mortgage early. Thus why Dave says to pay off all other debts before the mortgage.

    All those ways to buy are killing these small businesses.. cause everyone is feeling the financial constraints. I went to a local card/comic shop and the guy saw my young son in a pikachu shirt and they must have been opening booster packs of obsidian flames.. and he said what’s up to my son, said he loves pikachu too, and then let my kid pick a random card from the booster he opened.. my son was so happy. I thought that was awesome so I felt I should support the shop and bought the ETB they had there.. it was 42.99 + tax.. cool no biggie.. Josh’s site had the same etb for 32$.. that’s a 10$ difference.. I bought that and a graded PSA card that’s going for $55 on eBay it was on sale for 30. Over 60$ was free shipping.. so in one store I spent like 45$+ for the same thing I not only got for 10$ cheaper but I’m about to make 10-20$ more on the card sale..
    How do you compete with that? Idk how these places survive
    On the flip side I sell just the random bulk and today someone bought 10 rare candy cards from me.. the were like 2 cents each cause that’s what gets them to sell.. but cause they bought 10.. even with 99 cent shipping I had to use 2 stamps.. after tcg fees.. I made 74 cents.. even with discounted stamps I bought off ebay.. between the sleeve, top loader, team bag, 2 stamps, envelope.. I paid more to ship that than I’m getting from tcg lol.. like the market for this is getting so rough

    • @rng-gamez
      @rng-gamez  Год назад +2

      $32 is below wholesale for an ETB 42.99 is a great price because if you went into Walmart that same ETB is 49.99

      @@rng-gamez nah 100%! That’s my point.. like they did everything right.. nice to my kid, good price that they probably barely make any money on.. and then some online site is undercutting by 10$! Like how do you compete and as the consumer.. what’s the break point in cost/support/experience and just flat out savings.. I feel for these shops man
