Steelers biggest issue is the OL. 3 Rookies. Steelers were suppose to be 4-13. People forget that! Tomlin is Fine. The only issue I have with Tomlin is not Starting Corey Trice Jr over Donte Jackson who solid in Zone but terrible in Man to Man. Corey Trice Jr and JPJ on the outside will allow Watt and HighSmith to regain their form!

The unfortunate thing about this situation is that I just can't get excited for the regular season anymore, what's the point? We can pile up the wins, drop 30 points a game, have the number 1 ranked this or that, but ultimately when it comes to December and January I'll be expecting a meltdown, and all the fun and games we had along the way will mean nothing - again! All hope appears to be quashed, and that's a sad place to be as a fanbase.

I've been a Steelers fan my whole life - close to 40 years. I've haven't always loved the franchise decisions, like coordinators, but I have always loved Tomlin. I had an interesting moment the other day when I saw that Mike Vrabel went to the Patriots, and I was bummed for a second. My first thought was, "Man, he would have been a good pickup for us." It made me realize that my confidence in Tomlin and the organization has dropped quite a bit.

If the players aren't worked up enough to make change, then why should I get worked up? I used to dislike Pickens because of his disruptive bad attitude, but do you know what? I've come to realize, alot of his antics came out of frustration for not utilizing him correctly and because of the "same old same old" with the team going on! I actually like Pickens now, understand his frustration, and respect his honesty and competitiveness! This IS the Steelers for the next 2-3: years and that's the way it is. Please go to another team and prove your head coaching abilities. Steelers should hire the top OC and DC candidates and then promote their best organizational person to be head coach - someone who can delegate - whether they are currently on the coaching staff, in scouting, in the front office, or in the secretary pool. After a year or so, then decide which coordinator should be HC.

Sure, he would’ve left places worse than he took it over but that would’ve easily gotten swept under the rug as him being the champion that left during the rebuild.
But that didn’t happen and he’s the most overrated motivational speaker of all time!

This issue is that Tomlin needs to change and adapt. He wants to win with his guys his way. He coached to his ego and pride. He had to be right. He stayed comfortable and he absolutely lived in his fears. He played Russ over Justin even when Russ was clearly not the answer or delivering on what Tomlin said Russ was to provide. Same with Beenie Bishop and Cam Sutton. Beenie was trending upwards and then Tomlin benched him for a guy playing much worse. Same with Roman wilson and Mike Williams. Why not get these players run? He does not develop players anymore. He does not correct players like Jones or Pickens. They were the clear cornerstones of the offense and repeat offenders and they did not improve. He did not play to their strenghts. he played to his perceived thoughts.

So sick of Tomlins excuses. He should be a politician. People should continue to make memes and really drag the guy all off-season and until he leaves or makes meaningful changes. He is not going to self correct.

Also - NO, Tomlin is not a good “leader of men.” I was a 3E771 from 2001 to 2010. I’ve been around great leaders - they always lead by EXAMPLE, and none of the guys had continued attitude problems - this is getting guys in the military, whom you don’t choose. Tomlin can’t control his own locker room, and people are confusing “players coach” with “leadership.” Two separate things - it’s why players love him, and the results never change. No accountability for anyone, just loyalty.

Now that I think about it, it honestly wouldn’t anger me one bit of TJ rejected another contract with this team. The guy deserves to be a champion. Hearing about how committed he remains to the team just makes me appreciate him that much more, and it also at the same time makes me sad because he deserves better. If I were him, I would seriously consider signing elsewhere after next season if the direction of this team doesn’t change.

Wassup DK, how long do you think we have with Dan Moore, Issac, and James Daniels? I hope Broderick and go back to left tackle and we draft an Inside lineman this draft to replace Issac since mason did such a good job this year. We might not need to bring back James or Dan this year.

Dale Lolly might wanna listen to this for some insight into reality for what his articles spout and his talk show spouts daily through the season.
Somehow the entire sports reporting group in PIT has given up on promoting reality in favor of looking for “the positive”. EXCEPT THIS GUY!
There is no positive in these same results happening yr after yr. Having the same outcome when different results are expected without change, is INSANITY.
Tomlin needs to go inirder to get better/different results.

DK - I wish we had an authentic look at the collapse of this team this season. Additionally, why do the Steelers refuse to make significant changes? This past offseason shows they have the capacity to do it. However, they don’t. Is this Rooney not willing to put his foot down? Do quality OCs, DCs, etc., not want to be part of the Steelers? That is why we never have a coaching tree. Is it all on Tomlin, and if so, why is he so willing to allow for mediocrity? These are questions that I feel like others have had, but yet we can never find real answers.

I don’t like saying this, but the only way Tomlin we’ll be let go or resign is if the Steelers actually miss the playoffs because of a losing season and it might take more than one. Most of us remember when Bill Cowher had 3 consecutive playoff misses in the late nineties. But Dan Rooney believed in him and never gave up on Bill’s desire and motivation to win. Well, he was right. However, the situation is much different these days. The beliefs that we’ll get another ring under Tomlin are practically nonexistent.
