They played before in M2M guys :))) was a Norwegian pop duo consisting of Marion Raven and Marit Larsen, both from Lørenskog. They were discovered by music producers Kenneth M. Lewis and Kai Robøle and got a record deal with Atlantic Records in 1998. Both Lewis and Robøle has produced M2M songs. The duo was active from 1999 to 2002. At that time they released two albums and sold a total of 12 million albums and singles worldwide. Their first single "Do not Say You Love Me" was released in 1999 and brought in the first Pokémon movie, which resulted in good sales in many countries. Their debut album Shades of Purple was released in 2000 and peaked in the album list in Norway and other countries in Asia. That same year, warmed duo up for the US group Hanson on a tour of the US, Canada and Mexico. In 2002 came the album The Big Room. In conjunction with the release of the album they performed in episode number 100 of the American television series Dawson's Creek and warmed up for the American artist Jewel. The album sold however not as good as the first, and the record company Atlantic Records wanted instead to bet on Marion Raven as a solo artist. The duo was thus dissolved in autumn 2002.
