  • [4K] Our Legoland California Experience | Rides, Shows & Attractions | Things to Do | Carlsbad, CA.
Hello everyone, we are now here at Legoland! It has been 5 years the last time we visited this theme park. Since they have some new attractions, we decided to take advantage of their 25th birthday promotion which you only pay $25 ticket for kids with a purchase of 1 adult ticket.
We are now heading over to the main gate of the theme park. But before reaching the entrance, you will see on the left hand side the Legoland Castle hotel which first opened in 2018. This hotel has 250 themed which gives a complete family resort experience.
On the right hand side which is close to the entrance, we are seeing their 2nd hotel called Legoland California Hotel. This hotel features rooms based on popular LEGO lines such as Lego Friends, Pirates and Kingdom adventure.
Our first ride for the day is Coast Cruise. The cruise sail around the lake in the middle of the park which takes you along several Mini land locations .
The end of this cruise is with a a unique Octopus rock band before heading back to the shore. Overall, the ride was fun because it was gentle, and we did not get any motion sickness.
    Mini land USA - Legoland
Do you want to see California, Las Vegas, New York and Washington DC all in one day? Come with us and let’s check out Miniland USA.
Miniland USA is the main attraction at Legoland California, located at the heart of the theme park. This attraction is a miniature park featuring prominent architecture and symbols from different areas in the United States. This was constructed over the course of three years using more than 60 million LEGO bricks.
Miniland San Diego is the newest addition to Miniland USA which was unveiled to the public in 2023. This meticulously crafted mini city took a year and half in the making. This takes in 55 local landmarks constructed from a staggering 5 million LEGO bricks. It took a team of 70 master LEGO builders to create a 30-foot beach, streets lined with 120 palm trees.
Since Abby wants to experience some of the cool rides, we decided to go to Funtown. This is a role playing amusement park where kids stimulate adult skills such as driving cars, fighting fires or fly a helicopter.
One of the main attractions is called Driving School. Children ages 6 to 13 years drive self propelled Lego cars on a closed circuit featuring multiple intersections, two way traffic and traffic signals. It is designed to promote safe driving and skills.
The line was pretty long at Driving School, we decided to checkout the Lego Movie World. This area has a carousel ride called Queen Watevra’s Carousel.
Lego Movie World was opened in 2021. This area is great for families because it has a splash pad with fountains, build area for kids, a playground, a carousel, a convenience store and 3 dining locations.
The main attraction is called Unikitty’s Disco Drop, a drop attraction where riders seated in pairs raise, drop and spin around a pole. Let’s see if Anthony and Abby will enjoy this ride.
Our next stop is to check out the DUPLO Village called Kids Power Tower which offers a panoramic view of LEGOLAND Park as well as a controlled free-fall experience. This requires you to use your own manpower to pull your seat to the top of the tower. You must must be at least 40 inches tall to ride of accompanied by a rider 14 years old or 48 inches taller.
As much as we love to use our manpower, we decided to just go and checkout the other attractions. This time, we are going to Lego Ninjago training camp which is the ultimate ninja training test featuring interactive play areas filled with slides, obstacles, and Master Wu’s sailing ship! The play area is ADA compliant, ADA inclusive offering sound and interactive elements to support sensory play at appropriate heights. Abby is enjoying her time here while we, the parents embrace the ZEN on the shaded benches within this fully fenced play area.
After watching the Legoland Jam’s performance, we decided to check out the Land of Adventure. On our way there, we passed by the Legoland roller coaster ride called Project X. Brave riders get to experience the powerful acceleration, braking and agility as they race a life-size Lego vehicle along a wild roller coaster track.
We are now boarding to a ride called Lost Kingdom Adventure. The goal of this ride is to recover stolen treasure by blasting targets with laser guns along the journey. This is an interactive dark ride which is quite fun at Legoland California.
As much as we want to do more, Legoland is ready to close. However, we can truly say it was a fun experience. Thank you Legoland for the incredible experience until next time!
