Now I notice that the thing I've always liked the most in Escanor, out of his whole "character pack", it's his pure-looking eyes, always bright and full of sincerity. He hasn't a single mean bone in his whole body. And even when he becomes a hulking superhuman of unparalleled might, he never gets drunk in his own power, he doesn't succumb to useless violence and never stains his mind with pointless feelings like hate or jealousy. Being the 'Sin' of Pride seems to mean that he has already become the man he always wanted to be. His inner demons were nothing but fuel to ignite his flame.
