@@CatherineOnyeahalam Oh dear. I don’t think so but the best way to find out is by applying. Why did you go for MRes instead of a PGCE plus QTS. These are the qualifications required for one to teach in the UK. I know that PGCE does not allow dependents, is that why you choose an MRes?
@@cynthiaacademy Yes, exactly. Is it possible to do that after my course? I'm studying for a Master of Research in Educational Leadership, but I've been an English teacher for over five years in Nigeria.
@@CatherineOnyeahalam If you want to be a teacher in the UK, it is wise to find out what the requirements are to teach the subject. What you want to study in MRes is not what is in higher demand in the UK if your intention is to transition from study into work visa. Don’t get me wrong. I am not saying you can’t do something with it in the UK, but I am saying that it is in an area that is hard to get visa sponsorship in unless your intention is to progress to PhD which is not easy to get as an international student in a non-STEM related area. My suggestion is that you go into deep research and work out what the requirements to teach in any area you are interested in now. Don’t wait till you have spent 2 year in the UK. Work towards getting a QTS while you are in the UK. Register for teaching assistant roles with agencies in the UK. Ask your school whether the have the option of switching to another programme. Hi, Cynthia Is it possible to get only QTS while teaching to earn, I already have PGDE and have applied for TRCN which will soon be ready. What do U advice pls?
@@CelestialChommy12 I am assuming that your PGDE is not from developed country like UK, USA, Australia etc. If this is true, I have some questions. There are only QTS options but why would you go for only QTS when your PGDE might be from another country that is not widely recognised? Please study the differences between PGCE and PGDE. A PGCE from the UK can get you a job in the UK, USA and many other countries. Why don’t you want to do both in a subject area that is in high demand especially since you can kill two birds with one stone in the process? All the best.
Yes, though it is harder to get a salaried teacher trainee job when you are outside the UK. When you are outside the UK, most employers like someone with years of experience. Try and study the UK educational system and apply with recruitment agencies. All the best

The Post Study Work visa is also a called the Graduate visa. It is for most people on student visa to extend their stay in the UK. You should be completing your study visa before you apply for it.
On a skilled worker visa, you can relocate with family but if you watched this video, I explained that you need to find out which provider has the license to sponsor and can give you a CAS. All the best!
