Epoxy flooring, unlike tiles, are to be created by mixing different components. It requires skills and experience. There are different types of resins and hardners. Some epoxy floorings require additional fillers and pigments too. It would be good to get some qualified agency for doing epoxy flooring. The issue here lies in faulty water proofing in the washroom above. In majority of cases 2 Prime suspects are- 1. Water pipe leakage which may be hidden on wall or floor. 2. Water entering below the tiles through joints. First issue is more difficult and there are no quick-fix ways. One needs to locate and change the pipes or repair the leaks...which also means - retiling, a painful and costly affair. The other one needs regrouting and sealing the joints. If making new washroom, you may please invest few minutes and tune in to an earlier podcast about Bathroom TILES. Thank you. Sir one more thing i have to ask from you that plumber always prefer to apply for white cement in between the tiles and the problem also solved for 6-7 months but in future can I go with epoxyl grouting in place of white cement no matter it's costly . Pls reply
@@Chefgsharma White cement paste can have some life with tiles whose body has higher porosity but it cant create a bond with vitrified / porcelain tiles. No need to go for 6 times costly epoxy grout, you can simply use Polymer modified cementitious tile grout also. Thank you. -Team OTF

The answer is Yes, and NO. Yes, because it is not rocket science and there are more complicated jobs that some people are able to DIY. No, because- 1. Unlike tiles, we dont get buy and apply favility in epoxy floor. Choosing right resin and harndner comes as initial step. 2. Substrate preparation is very crucial which may require masonry skills and screeding. 3. Safety and experience is very much part of the job which we feel needs training. To conclude, you may engage professionals and learn first by working with them and getting practical tips. Another big issue is that, when something goes wrong and epoxy sets, it is very very difficult job to uninstall it. Thank you for tuning in OTF. - Team OTF
Not as easily as other substrate because of layer of glaze and too little micro-porosity on unglazed tiles. But it is possible if the surface is roughened and any levelling issues are addressed. Challenge is that epoxy must get right surface to adhere to. Thanks for engaging with us. - Team OTF

Epoxy is good for interior, covered spaces, not for open to Sun application like roof. Yes, it will deteriorate.

What you recommend for bathroom tiles as 1st floor bathroom seepage comes under the washroom on ground floor
