After a gig , on the ride i play jazz or slow jams, if hungry i get some takeout, Upon getting home empty the vehicle, turn on a movie ,eat , then when i feel relaxed enough and sleepy ,brush teeth. Go to bed.
Im in the uk (Manchester ) I’m a Mobile DJ finished at midnight tonight my gig was a reunion I knew nobody would dance I just played good music at a low volume I’m not very good at sleeping it’s now 2-30 am prob go to bed around 4 am then still hard to sleep thing is I’m 64 been a mobile DJ since was 17 just a way of life now
Not sure this is decompressing but I usually unload van, open a beer (never drink in a gig) go to Serato history and reflect on what worked and what didn't. I may adjust my track ratings (star) into my Smart crates from Fave 1 tbrough 5. I'm always far too awake to sleep, so use the time constructively. Works for me.
If I don't stop off at McDonalds drive through, I go home and have cornflakes and watch RUclips. Yes, i know it's That ROCK 'N' ROLL lifestyle lol. But I do need to wind down especially after a good Gig. Thanks' Brian
me and my crew part-took to unwind :D we talked till dawn about what transpired, we talked about how well the sets were received, how people reacted. The gigs we had were almost always great. I can't remember having had a bad gig, apart from when B kids started fights on the dancefloor. That was the mid to late 80's.
back then, there were no phones with video cameras. I carried a Sony Walkman stereo cassette recorder and recorded a few of my sets live, as well as conversations before and after gigs. It was my way for reliving those moments.
But, 4 weeks ago = I was coming back home from a wedding in Newton, Ks. = anyway the bride was a Karen and she came un-glued on me because I accidently played a song from her "no-play-song-list" = wow = that was the first time that this has ever happened. Somebody came up and requested the song, and I never thought of checking to see if the song was on this list of songs. Ouch. Be careful. It ruined the whole night for me.....The bride was so mad - that she said that she wanted to throw up!!!!!!!!!!!

Usually end up back at the house with friends for a bonfire and some drinks.

We talk about the event. Any mistakes or great moments. We also discuss on how we can improve on things or even equipment needs as well.
Thanks Brian for all the videos over the years appreciate your feedback more and more
