@@shaun374 Well i know for a fact that Bellamy is inspired by Beatles and Queen, but this song does not remind me of those two bands. Muse had a pretty good run here in the states, mostly in the 00's to the start of the 10's. Two Platinum albums and plenty of rock/pop radio play with tracks like "Starlight," "Supermassive Black Hole," "Resistance," "Uprising," and "Madness." This song was on Guitar Hero 3, one of the best selling games of that year, and singer Matt Bellamy was a character in Guitar Hero 5. Plus they earn decent hard rock cred with much heavier tracks like "Citizen Erased," Assassin," and "Stockholm Syndrome."

Muse have been around for well over 20 years, they have always been known for their amazing Live shows,. The singer is classically trained, all 3 musicians are top shelf. Your lyric analysis is way off, but then I've come to expect that.

Gosh! It is pretty amazing you hadn't heard of Muse. They are THE stadium rock band du jour. I saw them live a month or so ago and it was an astounding show. (Actually it was filmed for cinema release next year - check it out.)

If you go to Wembley 2007 full concert they emerge from under stage to Prokofievs Romeo and Juliets
Dance of The Knights to a ticker tape welcome with crowd going mad.
Then Matt Bellamy does an alternative beginning to The Close Encounters message sound on his Guitar before Knights of Cydonia.

I’m pretty sure that clip is from the live album / BluRay ‘Live At Rome Olympic Stadium’, which for me is one of the greatest live album / videos ever released. I implore you to watch the whole BluRay from start to finish, it’s easy to understand their reputation as one of the greatest touring bands on Earth. Brilliant stuff!
